Trust me, just order one small normal bun n eat it, I’m sure u will craving for more n more n more. Soup tasty, the pork filling also tasty, the skin of the dumpling crunchy!!!!! Omg…. A great street food n a must try, for my first time I agree with the Michelin guide on the recommendations of this shop

This is a Shanghai dumpling specialty shop located in TST. Most people order for take out, so they don’t have tables to dine in. But there’s a really small table in front of the shop, so I had my dumplings there.
The skin is pretty thick, but that’s to keep all the juiciness from the meat from spilling out! You need to be careful when you take a bite, because the dumplines are just overflowing with such flavorful juices. It’s cheap and delicious! I know I’ll be back again for sure!
Cheung Hing Kee was one of many midday snack stops on our food tour of Hong Kong, but on that day, their buns were easily the most memorable thing that I ate. Be sure to try both the signature buns (30 HKD for 4) and black truffle buns (15 HKD each).

Typical hole in the wall with the requisite garish neon, hey this is Hong Kong, but the dumplings are just amazing. The pork and truffle are perfection, the Shanghai noodle bowl is also a surprising hit. Pretty cheap, very tasty and very filling. The trellis outside will get busy with people stuffing their faces but that’s half the fun, squeezing in with everyone else.

These were the best tasting dumplings I have had so far in HK. I ate a lot in Shanghai but these were better. Cooked really well with tons of juice inside. The meat is ground well so the meat is very tender. The flavor of them is excellent. I go there regularly when I am in HK. However, one annoyance was they ran out of the classic pan fried dumplings. So, they added one shrimp dumpling instead and asked me to pull out my wallet for another 2 dollars. They should of just charged me the price of the classic pan fried dumplings since it was their error that they ran out. Grinding a customer for a measly 2 dollars is bad for business.

They call them Shanghai Pan Fried Buns, but these aren’t really bun-like, so I wouldn’t say that they are very traditional, but boy are they delicious. The skin is thin, much thinner than the usual Shanghai buns, almost like a dumpling. The bottom is pan fried to crispy perfection and the inside is filled with soup and juicy meat. They are on the pricier side for street food, but worth trying. The service isn’t particularly good, but you can’t expect much in stalls like this. You can enjoy your snack on the tiny ledge right outside the stall, but bring your own tissues and they don’t keep that ledge very clean, and you’re bound to have exploding soup when you bite into these things. Be careful, they’re very hot inside.

聽信特意去吃的,其實不是。。餃子皮厚。蘸著紅辣醬吃也無妨。從第三個開始我覺得第一個或兩個很好……我吃了兩個然後扔掉了另外兩個。

Yummy, yum, yum. I try the signature and truffle version. The truffle has stronger taste, but both are great. This shanghai dumpling is like Xiao long bao in pan fried version. It has soup inside, therefore had to be careful when eating it, your tounge might get burn(like me) or it will be messy (like my friend) as the soup squirt out when she take bites.lol…

2016米其林一星推薦的餐廳,確實好吃,不需加任何醬料也很棒,雖然價格不便宜但是不會後悔。
Juicy and delicious
Hands down the best pan fried dumplings I’ve ever had. Definitely go for the ones with shrimp. Buy a box of dumplings here and a few cans of beer at 7/11 and take a walk down to the TST promenade to watch the light show at 8. Just be careful with the juices.

Pretty darn good street food
The best Shanghai dumplings I have found in Hong Kong (basic dumpling finished by pan frying to give them a more crispy base) I had them for breakfast for three days solid once. Best to go early as fresher and no chance of selling out They are all amazing but Pork and truffle are a personal favorite. Just a hole in the wall with service over a counter. Dont forget to get yourself a little pot of vinegar to dunk in. If its your first time be careful of the juice inside (the locals nibble a hole and suck it out first)

Rather than crispy, the bun is actually hard and dry. Meat patty was juicy but full of MSG. Overrated in my opinion, and nothing compared with the ones in Taiwan.
