Fantastic service and good food (though not too memorable considering the 2 Michelin star honor). But maybe we didn’t order the right dishes?
The food was good. Service was pretty top notch as well. Both met the expectations of a Michelin star. They is until near the end of our dinner where the manager in charge of our table was changed out to an older gentleman who assumed we didn’t understand Cantonese, and complained to himself that we should just hurry up so he can go home already. We arrived at 9, and ordered everything well before their last call at 9:45pm, so it’s not like we came in last minute. Our total bill was $3500 for 3 people. We should be able to savor and enjoy our food like every else without being complained about by staff. All other staff was great. It was really this one guy that threw me for a loop.

Amazing Cantonese food although pricey
我們是2大1小孩一起去的，3個人分了2份，喝了3杯紅酒和一點啤酒，賬單18萬日元。絕對好吃，就是價格太高了。我想去也去不了。
Went to have a dim sum lunch. Upon reaching, requested for a booth seat. They arranged one for us shortly within 10mins which we didnt mind as there were comfortable waiting chair and we were just browsing the HK michelin guide.
Was brought to our seats and were greeted by beautiful cutleries. Food came promptly. The har gao was very generous in size but it would be better if the skin was thinner. Other dishes were all done on point and tasty. Others might expect wow factor for michelin restaurants or some fancy twist and elevation of seasonal product but for me, cantonese dim sum are food that is cooked with care and bringing out the taste of the ingredient in a consistently good way and for me, they hit the mark. Siew mai and carrot cake is exactly how it should be and not too greasy or wet from steaming.
The suckling pig was good as a bite size appetiser. The rice flour roll was a good surpise of excellent pairing of texture with crunchy radish within, soft rice flour skin and dough fritter to absorb the light soy sauce. The egg tart was what amazed me the most. Being born cantonese overseas with roots in HK, I never knew what people love about egg tarts. I tried the usual honolulu, tai cheong but nothing. This really got me. I get it now, the soft warm eggy center and the unbelivably flakey layered skin. I will miss this alot.
Ending my meal i ordered the unassuming claypot rice. Just chinese cured meat on rice. Not instagram material but it won my heart. The nostalgia of memory that came to mind when I tasted it. Mixing the oil thst came out of the meat, mixing in the dried bit of rice sticking to the claypot, stirring in the liver sausage and lup yok, it transcents and send you to a simpler time and when good food was exactly what it was, without having to add truffle, uni, marrow or exotic cut of beef to make it standout.
It was just a quick meal on a weekend escape trip to hong kong for me. But it brought me home for that hour. thank you sun tung lok chefs and to the service staffs 🙂
服務差，下一個盤子等了40-50分鐘，會說英語的工作人員很少，而且食物的味道不是米其林2星。蝦仁炒肉絲不是很滿意，據說很好吃。我不知道會怎樣，因為我沒有嘗試過Dim Sum，但最好找另一家餐廳。這家商店仍然保留一顆星這一事實本身就讓人懷疑其米其林榜單的可信度。
食物、價格、服務 全是五星級
建議6~8人聚餐

Fair taste with good service
Went to this restaurant. I decided to take the 8 course menu that they got the Star with in 2011, bit expensive but it was promising.
The restaurant looks stunning, clean and Western mixed with Asian culture. Beautiful. Great lighting and spaceous (CLEAN!!!) toilets (one toilet for women, one for men). Everyone was in full nice uniform and was greeted with a smile.
The only smile. Service was… weird. It wasn’t like other restaurants with stars, very quiet and staff was not able to speak proper English.
The food was terrible. From the 8 courses, I ate 4 because the sauce was too repetitive at the point that nothing tasted good anymore, the tastes didn’t blend well whatsoever and it did not meet the expectations of how they said it would be and with the price it had been giving.
To conclude:
This restaurant does not deserve the stars.
Would be an OK normal restaurant, the menu needs some fixing but apart from the menu, the food, the drinks, the staff and the prices, it is a great restaurant.

Good food, good place and good service! Even the desserts r great too. Peter always provide excellent service to his customers. You can have family gathering, friends gathering of even dating as they have some seats with privacy.

Not good…. we regretted going and even more for ordering the Chefs menu (plus local beer). $110 US dollars and We left most of it because food just did not taste good. Also, service was great for the first two courses, then we were forgotten in the back room corner. It took easily over another half hour before next course came out and that was after giving some wait staff (who were busy setting empty tables for dinner service ) some confused looks. Imagine taking one bite of a dish and because of the taste, not being able to force another bite, even though it was expensive.

Food and service are excellent
好食，性價比高
很少給5粒星，但只是飲茶，未試晚飯，。食物水準高，當然價格也高，但又未貴到酒店內的出名中菜價錢。服務 … 有時幾主觀下，個人 就覺得 好滿意。
事隔兩個月，再來飲茶，除了蝦餃太大隻外，一切如常。
