Their food was germ contaminated and caused me a serious acute enteritis. I will report to the health department and file a complaint.
Slow response to service request, promptly on payment collection, >20% of the clams were dead before cooking (never opened )
She had not returned the change to me.
Speak english!
She is a bad woman.
She is fired now!
Sucks ..the food is cold and i wont go there again.
too expensive.
Too little crab is 200 hongkong dollars!!!!
Bad food, overpriced and very dirty, you dont want to eat their foods if you know how and where the foods are prepared.
Great HK style food ! I recommend fried meals like the deep fried oyster with rice, just delicious !
over-crowded but accordingly not clean enough.
served late in busy hours.
400$ crab was not worth the price.
Crowded restaurant, as many tourists as locals there. Wide variety of food, from soup to noodles and meat everything can be ordered. Reasonable price.
Good food, low prices.. I like that! They usually understand when I ask my meal to be different because I am vegan. They try their best and I have not yet been disappointed !
Rude. Was missing the rice. Asked twice. Still no rice. Bill woman argued the price. Meal was very bland got sick from the meal stomach cramps all day. Don’t risk it
Food was ok, definitely had better but they charged me 10 hkd for peanuts i didnt even eat. What a scam.
Foodie paradise! The seating is uncomfortable. It is crowded. The staff is very direct. But your patience will be rewarded with a bounty of delicious food and cheap beer! Point to pictures if you have to, to order.
Popular Hotspot for tourists
Food’s good, bit pricey compared to the other restaurants, but it’s right at the entrance of night market, fun to watch people while dining.
Don’t go here. It’s worst one in HK. Yucky! No one can speak English.
though this is the only one that is pretty crowded at temple street, the claypot rice was not well cooked and our roasted pigeon order did not appear
Street food is one of my favorite here in Hongkong. It absolutely tastes great, the people also here are very kind..
It’s a scam!!! One crab, four prawns for HKD1100.
The food was tasty enough but the waitress were a bit abrupt and borderline rude. We had to wait at least 40 min for the clay pot rice hitch cone with only 3 pieces of cured meat… overpriced as well
We had dinner here on a Friday night. The atmosphere was good as it’s a great people watching place. However, the food is not up to standard. We ordered fried beef with satay sauce (HKD75) and babylon shell (HKD88). Very ordinary cha-can-ting taste or even worse. It’s a busy place so naturally you can expect no services or help. But a good place for beer! A big bottle of Yan Jing Beer costs HKD25.
Decent food with the standard rude service you will find anywhere else. They missed out an order and claimed we did not call for it in the first place. Demanded payment in the middle of the meal.
We came across this place from shopping. We got the deep fried duck and it is SUPER (me of course being particularly biased with meat). We also got 1 big bottle of beer which cost arouns 20HKD.
Good food, good price, fast service, nice atmosphere
Eat here if you want expensive crab and food poisoning. You have been warned
I’ve eaten here twice, a few weeks apart. The food was tasty enough – but not a patch on, for example, the Java Road street food market. The portions are very large, but it’s also expensive, being in such a tourist trap location (even for a UK restaurant, which is my benchmark). The Singapore noodles were pretty good, but the garlic steamed bak choi was not soft enough on the first occasion. The black bean beef with spring onions was a little on the chewy side. It’s a good location and being one of the larger restaurants here you get to enjoy the hustle and bustle, the weird sea creatures in bubbling water containers – it’s an “authentic” experience. The service was quick and accurate. The menu is extensive, and has photos of most dishes and English descriptions. It’s a safe option – but next time I’ll try some other place, there’s so much choice here.
This was recommended to me by a friend who used to live in HK. The string beans in XO sauce were a hidden gem.
my favourite place to eat outside, however, the quality of the food vary, depends on the weather probably..
What a rip off. Ordered sweet and sour pork and then after 35 mi didn’t get the food told lady we had to go and they bring us bill for drinks and the food we didn’t get. Basically a criminal enterprise. Avoid.
Salted fish wasn’t good, and the portion was funnily small. For the price, it was a coulinary blooper. Stay away from this place.
