份量都幾多,一個30幾蚊的套餐,包括一杯熱飲,叉燒米粉一碟滿的,另外有雙蛋,兩片火腿,烘過多士with 牛油,水準5錯。

糕點有創意,味道也不錯,但咖啡屬一般水平,考慮到等候時間和價錢,再去要有個理由。
找個地方坐坐,還可。若對食物質素、種類選擇、價格、舊店文化繼承有要求,同區應有更多選擇。

An old cha chaan teng recently turned to a new HK style cafe, food and drinks are mixed with some cha chaan teng food, I like the concept and the pastries a lot, recommend their almond roll cake if you like the aroma of HK style almond milk, and their caramel egg tart is tasty. I’ve tried their coffee+Horlick, it’s good. Service is attentive and nice.

A bit pricey but justified, a well mixed old and new food and drinks while all packed in a nicely preserved 80’s old HK style cafe. The cookies are so well that’s eveb better than most hotel stuffs. Service i got was very good, not as said in some other reviews.

Waited for 30 minutes to get in, ordered right away, waited for another 30 and turns out they somehow “lost” our order. Staff couldn’t even figure out who it was who took our order and then forgot about it. No apologies offered by manager, except for the poor girl we complained to. We left right away – the gimmick does not mean we have to put up with such terrible service.

The service needs to be improved. It’s slow and the waiters/waitresses seem like they don’t care about the costumers. We waited for at least 15 minutes to be seated, not because there wasn’t space, but it seemed like they want to make the queue longer to attract more costumers.There were at least 3 empty tables in the restaurant. When the food is served, the waiters don’t tell you that you have to get the cutlery yourself or where to get it. We sat there for 5 minutes thinking that they probably forgot. It was then that I heard another costumer asking for it, and then the staff told them that you have to get it yourself. As a new restaurant, you will have ALOT of new costumers, and you can’t expect them to know. Be warned, we waited nearly 25 minutes for an egg tart. The worst part is that the long wait was for it to be REHEATED. If it normally takes that long, then either warn the costumer that it’ll take a while, or buy a bigger oven so that you can put more items to bake. The person working the oven section seemed to just be taking their time plating the egg tart and spreading sauce on bagels. It’s like they have all the time in the world. Local cha chaan tengs are known for their fast and tasteful food, yet this modern twist of a cha chaan teng lacks both. The only good thing was probably the latte.
Hipster cafe with traditional Cha Chaan Teng decor. Two older gentlemen came in while I was there and were a bit confused why it wasn’t a Cha Chaan Teng menu and left. “They dont even have a hot dog!” They said. Lol.
I kinda empathise, it’s a strange concept.
Nice latte art. Seating is comfortable and clean. Service basic but sufficient. Pastries were average I thought.
Menu is very limited with 3 hot food items so don’t expect lunch. A bit pricey but it’s what you would expect in HK for this kind of cafe.
Good for a coffee and a chat.

重新被接手已經不是冰室,根本是Cafe.
但坐位舒適度及氣氛是冰室,也沒有舊有冰室的食物。
性價比低,飲品及食物款式外型似講究,但其實是一般。
要排隊的話無價值,唔使等位又想買下時間既,可以一試。
睇清楚先好入,好多街坊中招以為係茶仔,掛羊頭賣狗肉,老一輩既人唔值得期望。
不一樣的冰廳,略貴,有D新意思
都係咁啦。真係無特別。

An interesting experience. Rather than seeing this as your typical cha chaan teng, think of it like a hipster cafe that has been revitalised by new management whilst retaining the old nostalgic retro decor. The menu has more fusion-focused items rather than traditional items which are each unique in their own way. Good to try out only for novelty at this price point.

Had a couple of visit to this newly revamped cafe – it’s been popular – it inherited the former interior and re-created a new menu offering modern coffee & tea drinks, pastry or sweets and savory from April 2022.
Service: 4/5 : staff may be too busy to attend to you when there are too many customers. Be patient as words of advice.

The old Tai On Coffee & Tea was a long standing cha chaan teng located at the corner of Pitt Street and Canton Road in Yau Ma Tai. They opened up in 1969 and were a local favourite for five decades before finally closing down this past October.
Yet this past March, a new Tai On Coffee & Tea reopened at the same premise, making much use of the old layout, seating, decor and shop front signage. In many ways, you wouldn’t even notice the changes other than the younger staff, modern and reduced food menu and introduction of modern coffee drinks, replacing the old-school HK style coffee from yesteryears.
I popped in for my first visit to the new Tai On Coffee & Tea recently. Staff were much friendly, spoke English very well and served my macchiato and coconut sheet cake slice in a timely manner. The macchiato was very good, a nicely prepared espresso drink with just the right amount of milk to cut the bitterness of the drink without diluting the espresso flavour. The coconut cake was pretty good as well, slightly moist, crumbly with a good coconut flavour and not too sweet.
Overall, it felt good to see how much of the old place they retained with the new version of the Tai On Coffee & Tea. So many old places are gutted and fully modernised into new age restaurants and coffee shops these days. By preserving the old cha chaan teng look, fell and name, they have created real and proper nostalgia here, something the younger crowd can enjoy and appreciate while allowing the older generation opportunity to continue to frequent a decades long favourite in the Yau Ma Tei neighbourhood.

western-style coffee was pretty okay, definitely worth one visit and a perfect place to get some work done or do some reading.

Probably the best breakfast i had in Hongkong. The only place that leaves a good impression on my visit here. The service was very friendly (unlike any other restaurant in Hongkong whose server is very very rude). Aside from the good service, their food and coffee tastes AMAZING. Oh and their egg tart is probably the best i’ve ever had in my life. I would recommend this place to all of my friends and family.
