鼎泰豐 (尖沙咀)(Din Tai Fung (Tsim Sha Tsui))

Great food (in particular the soup dumplings) and solid service. We enjoyed the experience so much we went back twice in 3 days. Slightly more pricey than other restaurants in its category, but we found it worth it.

Xiao long bao is very good. Others aren’t bad but not a must try.

Delicious dim sum.

I suggest to not order the dessert (not the specialty in HK)
I recommend to arrive early, there’s a lot of people like in every restaurant in HK.
Service is very fast (maybe too fast)!
Each time I go in HK I eat in this place.

If you are looking for good food, just try this restaurant! Easy to order, quick table service and oh my good food heaven it was! Especially Xiao long bao. Almost good like in Shanghai! One of my favourite places in HK.

Went on a recommendation, really good quality Taiwanese food and great service

Huge selection of handmade dim sum. Famous for their broth filled dumplings you eat with soy and vinegar. Good for groups as well.

Love it! Very well explained menu and the food is wonderful! The black truffle dumplings is a must!

都係台灣正宗D，好味D

我是2月10號周五8點左右去的，不用等，馬上就能吃到。
果然，小籠包和小麥沒事。
還點了蝦仁炒飯和醬油拌飯，不過蝦仁炒飯一般，醬油拌飯拌著一半的炸醬湯吃起來像韓式薄煎餅，不過也夠吃了。

Having tried this only in California, it was nice to have the original in Hong Kong, and it definitely was delicious. It was actually not as cheap as I thought it would have been, but still good nevertheless. They take credit card, but I would not frequent here often as there are plenty of other dim sum options that are just as good and cheaper.

出名好食的小龍飽

在台灣、日本和香港吃起來都一樣。這家店乾淨舒適。有點貴。

等位快，二人位，七點半等到嗒九入座。小籠飽一籠六粒六十蚊。野食選擇比較少。豬扒一般。

Great food, however staff seem overworked as they forgot a few orders and drinks.

Taiwan Din Tai Fung is so much better.
This one is terrible compare to tiawan. Bad service, Bad food, Bad atmosphere.

Hands-down, the best dim sum in the world

After hearing about this restaurant from a friend who visited the Sydney location I was curious to try it, especially as it is a Michelin star restaurant. From the outside it looks like a pretty average restaurant, nothing too fancy although you can tell from the long lineup that it’s not just your run of the mill Shanghainese restaurant.

The menu has a pretty solid selection of foods without being too overwhelming. Everything is categorized very well so making one or two selections in each category is quite easy. The portions are pretty similar to what I’ve seen at most other similar restaurants. The staff was very attentive and quickly topped up our tea and water and was readily available when we wanted to order.

Now for the food, the glorious, delectable food. We ordered about 7 dishes for the four of us which I feel was a good amount. The soup dumplings (siu long bao) were very flavourful and not too salty. The peanut noodles were a little spicy but the noodles were firm and not soggy and the flavour wasn’t killed by the spice. One of the staff even came around to make sure we stirred the noodles otherwise they will stick together. Pretty much every dish we had was on point, nothing disappointed us or left us unsatisfied.

I’m glad I got to try this place while I was in Hong Kong, I only wish they would open one in Vancouver as I know it would do very well!
