Sometimes not fried food are not done probably, rice portion are tiny, salmon is the best fish, some of the water tap takes forever to fill a cup, the soy sauce container pour out extremely slow and painful to the finger, service is acceptable, table is big enough for six people but not comfy for six big guys, serving speed is fast with the magnetic rail delivery thing but maybe for some food are too fast (probably made before order).
Everything was yummy! Only issue I had was , you had to have an app to order food. So we ended up ordering food with the waitress .

Food was pretty alright, the concept of ordering through your phone and having the bullet train deliver it was really cool and interesting. Wait for a table was a bit long though.
Quality of the sushi has declined. The removal of the tablets for ordering was a disappointment.
Food serving is fast because of the new rail serving system & smart phone ordering.

Freah amd affordable sushi!
不實惠，兩口就吃掉的三文魚飯，賣三十多塊，我還不如吃三文魚壽司。

Good sushi bar with a new concept of technology….
This location is a bit different from the other location I visited while in Hong Kong. They do not have the traditionnal conveyor belt sushi going around the room. Instead they use a “by order” system so that every piece is prepared as you order and sent on a sort of electronic boat. They use a QR code system that you scan with your phone (they provide free wi-fi for that purpose) for ordering which is convenient and practical. It also allows you to keep track of what you’ve ordered and browse the whole menu at your convenience. The orders come out very quickly and the fish is fresh and tasty (although don’t expect fancy sushi quality, this is more like fast-food). The selection is also bigger than other locations since the items are made to order.
Our favorite pieces were the salmon nigiri, the spicy salmon gunkan, the yellowtail, the shrimp tempura nigiri and the salmon roe nigiri. We did have a few issues with some of the pieces of fish being very cold (definitely not frozen, but colder than they should be), which made the texture less buttery and the contrast with the slightly warm rice wasn’t that nice. We only had that issue with 2 or 3 of the pieces we ordered so it wasn’t a huge issue. Overall a pretty affordable meal for sushi, adequate quality and fun concept. Would return.

小朋友很喜歡。好像比韓國便宜30%。所有的壽司味道都差不多。
味道明顯不如日本大阪的100日元壽司。
但香港的餐廳就不是那麼好。
感覺比較好。價格似乎比國內的旋轉壽司便宜。

Worth every bite
It used to be decent quality but this one has let it go to the dogs. I don’t know whether the whole chain is going to rot or just this location. It was my first time at this location. I have been to 4 other locations multiple times in the past and they were quite good quality given their reasonable prices. But this one is a stinker. The basic maguro sushi was so poor quality I refused to put in my mouth and sent it back. Unfortunately the ikura and uni were very poor quality and barely edible. The basic miso soup was very poor. I’m never going to go back to this genki and if the other locations I have been going to have become like this one I’m going to write off this whole chain. I am baffled why it is still so packed with people and long waiting lines. I think people are still going based on its past reputation but their popularity is not going to save them if this location is indicative of what they have become.
Fun way to order sushi
Food, delivery and services are good. However, I felt uncomfortably thirsty afterwards. Would it be because of MSG (味精)?

已經好幾年沒去吃這類迥轉爵司了, 現在已不見了迥轉的一碟碟壽司, 也不見了現場即做的壽司師傅, 取而代之, 是一架架可愛的新幹線列車, 載著你 order 的食物停在你的餐枱旁, 煞是有趣 !
當天點的是下午茶套餐, $50 – 62 , 還要加一, 份量細小, 再單點一份蟹子和海膽壽司 $17 & $25 , 只有一件, 圖中是兩個人的份量, 埋單 $170 , 我只能當是一種體驗 ? …

Absolutely delicious and quality sushi for the prices, although, I don’t know decent prices in Hong Kong for sushi, it is still a damn sight cheaper than any sushi place here in the UK.
This is so fun! The food comes on a automated train which is super cool! You also will order via qr code on your phone so you need to have service ( I don’t know if they provide wifi). The food is good and comes pretty quick. I highly recommend the sea salt ice cream if you have space for dessert!

我覺得很好食及又方便,而且我從來沒有上過這間新港中心2樓的元氣壽司,剛剛先至第一次走入去食壽司,多數呢係在上環信德中心2樓食及尖沙咀新港中心2樓食,遲啲我都嘗試一下在海怡廣場地下都係一樣吃壽司。啲壽司店是高速線(即係有分高速及迴轉壽司。
