A shangrila hotel institution, nadaman Japanese restaurant in kowloon has 2 seating areas, one area for teppanyaki, the other area for non teppanyaki meals such sushi and sashimi. We tried out the teppanyaki and it was delicious! The seafood was really fresh and came out from the back still moving (note ~ some of us who might be queasy with food being prepared and cooked “live” in front of you, be warned!) and the chef was really experienced in grilling and preparing the food. While the appetizer was really great (the most springy matcha tofu ever!), dessert was really quite underwhelming as it was just some cut fruits with jelly. The meal was pretty expensive, and the seafood set can set you back over usd200. It’s a great experience though, and is a nice setting for a special night out.

鐵板燒好味
很棒的日本餐廳，環境真的很好，價格有點高，但是考慮到食物的質量，還是值得的。
2 words to describe them “Delicious Food”.
We wanted to have the Teppanyaki table but didn’t get those as they were all booked.
But we did get another cosy place to dine.
The food is really delicious. The best ones I’d recommend are the “Avocado Cheese Seaweed Rolls” and the “Crab roe and Mayonnaise Rolls”. They charge an additional 50 dollars for the Avocado ones as they are not on the menu. The portions for salads and fried rice is really small. It’s like one small bowl. So in case you’re thinking of eating salad or fried rice for dinner, you better order more haha.
The service was a bit too slow as compared to other restaurants during the dinner hours.
But I’d still recommend them for the avocado rolls ?
ordered the deluxe sushi set. sashimi very fresh but a bit overpriced. service quite slow. we have had better sushi elsewhere in hk at a lower price.
Food is good – although portions are small when you order a set lunch – but it’s filling to an extent. Around 450-600HKD per person here. No tables were available so we were seated at the sushi bar. Very slow service and I’m not sure why but there were multiple waiters serving us. It’s been about 25 minutes since we were served our last dish (a very small ice cream dish) and at this moment nobody has attended to us.

Good food n service, very western decor. Ordered mini kaiseki for lunch, good for ladies. Prefer years ago food n setting, more authentic Japanese food, now is a fusion n commercial, not as fine as before.

My business friend invited me to have a business lunch on September 12, 2018. We ordered the reasonably priced “Mini Kaiseki” at HK$480 per person. The food, presentation, service and ambience were superb. The pork loin and the red bean ice cream dessert exceeded my expectations!
Authentic Japanese food, good sashimi and sushi, good quality Wasabi. Good service.
The food was superb but I showed up quite late and I was the only one there so I think the staff wanted to go home. Nevertheless, I was taken care of and had some of the nicest sushi ive ever tried.
They can still manage to keep the food quality except the fried rice and vegetable.

Located at below ground level in The Shangrila, on Kowloon side of the harbour … Nothing less than world class cuisine comes with the Shangrila name. Recommended for lunch or Dinner.

華麗……昂貴但非常好吃……拿一張桌子讓他們在你面前做飯……頂級廚師，我一生中從未吃過如此美味的龍蝦……而且我有去過很多地方。。。蝦，肉什麼的都滿分5分10分。。。還會再來的。。。
Tried the dinner set. The food display is good but the food is just okay. I expected it to be more special with the price of the set. The dessert is very ordinary that I am kind of disappointed. Also the service is very slow which the restaurant is not even filled.
Food not as good as I recalled. Service very good .however had to wait 30 min.for my food. They did co mp. A steam egg custard.Vary pricey. All lunch items are

Meh .. for the price. Fish is fresh but very plainly served. Miso black cod too sweet, pickled Ginger is too sweet also. Maybe I am spoiled with eating too many unforgettable omakase dinners. Even NYC and SF can do better…
與友人午餐，慢慢食慢慢傾，冇壓力。
午餐好多選擇，花多眼亂，揀咗好耐先揀到以下哩個。
先有前菜波菜小碟，蒸滑溜水蛋。

三款刺身，有蝦和兩款魚，感覺普通，鮮味不足。
然後一下子上了好多小碟大碟的。清物比較咸口，配著飯吃都覺咸。
銀雪魚油潤，但未到滑，有點小鞋，且欠調味。天婦羅有四件，蔬菜還可以，但那個蝦又乾又硬，實在太失望。另外有些白煮蔬菜，豆子，南瓜，蘿蔔等，用獻汁半浸著，味道普通。
清湯裡有滑豆腐，菇菌和豆子，溫熱的，喝著舒服。

另外朋友點的魚生飯，分了些海膽給我，我一吃苦到不行，再嚐另一塊，還是帶苦。

Well, OK, have you noticed that kaiseki restaurants have not really grown in number? The Nadaman at the Shangri-la Hotel Kowloon is far superior to the one on the Hong Kong side. It is definitely worth ordering the kaiseki rather than the other menus.
來九龍香格里拉 staycation, 因有$1600 credit 可用, 又不太想食自助餐, 所以初次到此品嚐懷石料理, 環境尚算舒適, 服務到位, 食物水準ok。
食物新鮮好食, 服務細心
There are many choices of Chef Tsuji Lunch Set , price is absolutely reasonable and taste delicious ? I have ordered Teppanyaki Beef set ? $328 + 10%, US sliced beef is absolutely delicious ?
You can make an additional dishes for $58 , I took prime tuna sashimi. Fatty taste ?
I must go there again soon , for sure!
