Popular old school restaurant , vernacular London equivalent would be a pie ‘n’ mash cafe except this place offers a menu of over 200+ dishes. Went for the curry fish balls, hor fan beef noodles, fake shark fin soup, stir fry instant noodles with deep fried battered thin pork chops (yum). Budget about 70 HKD per head. Full of character. The certificates on the walls are thank you letters from local university groups for the restaurant supplying them with food.

其實可可店係西環都搬過好幾次，係小赤柱呢個範圍，附近已經充滿左外國既食肆，何何店同新興都依然屹立西環，為不同世代既港大生同浦友製造共同回憶😎
舖頭入面幾張大圓枱，明顯就預咗一大班既大學生黎可以一齊坐🥰 menu 同我個年代比都有改變，除咗黃底老menu外，仲多咗糖水，麵飯，真心有啲似茶記🙄 重點應該放係牆上面既証書，都係港大不同既學會，宿舍，團體既鳴謝証書😮 （諗起早輪有大學生R寵物食物既sponsor😂)
其實黎可可店 真係唔駛google都知食乜😜炸豬扒🐷雞翼🐣麵，炸雲吞🦐（又係你呀，雲生？）係膽，另外仲有腸粉蛋（定粉腸蛋🤔）同埋要番傳統甜品紅豆沙
腸粉蛋加左花生醬上枱🥰 甜醬係枱面任你加，少少既燶邊加埋淋淋炒蛋一起吃，簡單街頭味令人重返校園📚
然後豬扒雞翼麵，其實主角都係炸豬扒啫🙂 鬆化既豬肉帶有少少脂肪邊分佈係炸漿裏頭，親吻落去既軟熟係炸豬扒另一重體驗💋 雞翼就得兩隻（咁確實係一雞兩翼既🐥），炸得還👌，麵嘛，可可店不嬲都係未煮透上枱，少少硬身咁🤭
炸雲吞係我無限loop可可既原因✌️ 一碟有起碼7，8隻，每隻都有完整既蝦🦐係入面，仲要塊皮炒到好鬆脆，加埋沙律醬係增磅良方🤭
紅豆沙呢，其實還好啦，但食得出無刻意加糖谷甜佢，然後啲料都唔少

It used to be one of the two most popular night eateries among university students in the past (the other one being 宜記, which is ~100m away) but Hoho’s quality has deteriorated in the past few years. I used to eat fairly often in the past as well, but it’s getting oilier, saltier and the quality of food is getting lower such that I simply stopped going and went upward for 宜記 instead since a few years ago.
After nearby residents knew that the shop owner supports the violent police repression, much fewer customers are visiting these days. Not sure if the freshness of food is affected.
一般家庭式街坊小店, 粥粉麵飯甜品小食都有, 有很多人來食甜品, 價錢中下, 不是超好味, 但晚上十分熱鬧, 很多港大學生幫襯
Cheaply priced food served in somewhat oversized portions. Food is fair in quality but remarkable for such a low price.
Very fast service but staff often struggle with English speakers.
Hot coffee is outstandingly good, will strongly recommend. The fried Canton dishes are also a trademark of the joint and seem to be rather popular.
Also one of the more popular places within the district for a late-night bite, often netting as much as four times as many customers as the regional McDonalds.
