Café Siam 暹館 Kennedy Town

Went for the all you can eat brunch and highly recommend it. Great food, decent selection and excellent price. The regular menu looks good too but defo try for brunch for good value

Food came too slow even for a luxuriously long lunch. I preferred their NO service to the extremely bad.

今天和同事一起吃午飯，選了這間泰菜餐廳，附近一帶都比較多西餐館，相信是多了外國人在這舊城區租住。午餐價格相對比較貴，點了泰式海南雞飯和泰式雞絲湯河，味道一般，湯河有很大的白蘿蔔，雞絲也不多，可能比較適合外國人口味。

Very friendly staff and absolutely delicious Thai food – a firm family favourite 🙂

The food is always lip smacking. Had the Gaeng Musamman with Roti this time.

Good lunch price and fast efficient staff

Good vegetarian options; some dishes can be adapted to vegan. Everything is very flavourful and fresh.

Lunch set $88 for Hainanese chicken rice—-Affordable. The portion of chicken was hardly half a chicken breast, maybe a whole if it was a spring chicken…which I guess they compensate with the bigger portion of rice. #ilovecarbs? They weren’t kidding when they wrote “a taste of Thailand”.

Westernised thai food which is too sweet and lack balance, taste is bland. But I can see why some expat or middle class locals might enjoy the atmosphere and endure the mediocre food and drinks.

Friendly staff. The coconut rice and mango sticky rice were lovely. A bit pricey for dinner menu.

Food came out really quickly, had me questioning how freshly it was prepared.
No offer of tap iced water, when we were gasping for water from the spicy food, they were happy to upsell bottled water

This place is hit or miss…means some dishes are good and some are bad. They charge you for water…wont even serve tap water for free…which is ridiculous. The staff attitude is really bad… probably underpaid. If you ask the staff for anything then they will remind you that it will cost more. The central Cafe Siam is better please visit that one.

It was my second time at this Cafe Siam in Kennedy Town yesterday (Jan 3, 2020) where two friends and I ordered a lunch set. The salad was a little spicy for my liking and the veggie soup noodle tasted okay – a bit oily though as I noticed a rather reflective layer at the top of the soup.
Within a couple hours all of us had Diarrhea! After going to the toilet twice I then threw up horribly with tears splashing against my eyeglasses. After 10 minutes or so I started to shiver, numb fingers and a couple hours later I had fever at 39.7 degrees. After visiting my GP later in the evening and taking some meds I finally feel better and went straight to bed.
Despite they have friendly staff and the place have nice decor I am afraid I’ll never walk in for another meal.

應該係呢到附近最好食既泰菜，體驗不錯，環境闊落，菜色選擇多。叫左個二人餐都只係3百蚊包前菜主菜。另外呢到既大蝦冬陰功湯真係好好飲！

呢排成日去離島工作，覺得好攰，所以想搵啲好嘢食獎勵吓自己🥰 係依個疫情下想飛去泰國食泰國菜又做唔到，而通過朋友嘅介紹吓，去到有Thai Select 皇家認證嘅正宗泰國餐廳 Cafe Siam 🇹🇭

入到去整體非常之有格調， 氣氛都好適合一班朋友一齊傾偈。以木為主題做裝修+裝飾，令氣氛非常舒服。另外地方寬闊 喺疫情下食嘢都比較安心❤️

椰汁底用咗唔同嘅材料香料配搭令成個湯非常之濃郁同香。而魚非常之滑，骨亦都唔多。最後我同朋友連椰汁底都飲完🤤

椰奶龍蝦Coconut Prawns 🦞
非常之有驚喜， 椰奶超級好味，味道濃郁，完全可以滲透喺龍蝦裏面，攞嚟送飯一流！超級推薦👍🏻
