It’s my 3rd time visiting Zagin Soba on gough street, I like their soup base and the texture of the noodles, however the fried chicken we ordered was a bit too dried. It was a pleasant experience overall. A bone to pick is that, they have very bad Wi-Fi reception inside the restaurant.
I could say this is the best ever chicken soup base ramen in Hong Kong. There are only three kinds of regular ramen you can choose from the menu, and the chef decides how the noodle to be cooked. That’s the real ramen should be made! You don’t need too much choices or customized but you have a good ramen and services at the end. Recommended for ramen lovers!
The stock is very thick and tasty
There are only 3 ramen choices on the menu. You don’t have the option to customise it, ie the hardness of the noodle, noodle type, saltiness of the broth. You know that this is going to be good.
Fantastic chicken based soup ramen. Beautifully presented. Noodle was cooked perfectly. Strong chicken flavoured broth. Flavour is just right. The thinly sliced Japanese pork was a surprise to me. It tasted like prosciutto. Just divine. I ordered the smoked half boiled egg. The smokiness added an interesting twist to the perfectly cooked egg.
Sitting at the bar seat, looking at the chefs working on their magic is very enjoyable. The staffs are very friendly and service is impeccable.
Highly recommend.

湯底濃郁，麵質適中，不過吃到底較鹹
全香港最好食嘅拉麵（沒有之一）！
雞白湯好味到清底，湯底同麵好夾，香、濃，又唔會太鹹，雞肉同豬肉叉燒完全唔鞋，肉味濃。
其他細微位做到好足，包括服務、裝修、提供凍茶、湯夠熱，哩個質素絕對對得起哩個價錢。
Best tsukemen in HK!
Very simple menu offering only 3 ramens. I ordered the chicken+seafood one. Its soup was rich in favour, similar to other Japanese style ramen soup in HK, but the fried lappa/bardana was crispy and flavourful😋 quite interesting.
Good services, tidy decor, not very spacious but enough/suitable for 1-4 ppl to enjoy ramen.
Favorite ramen in Hong Kong. A bit pricey though.
Overrated. Creamy ramen broth was really bland and not exciting. Chicken and chasu where mediocre at best. Noodles where great. Chicken rice too.
The taste is great and the restaurant is very clean. The price is a tad high for what it is.
Well, alright, it is not really fair to judge a restaurant, even a chain restaurant, during the pandemic. Having barriers between tables definitely takes away from the total experience.
Well, the food is quite nice though. Their regular specialty are Japanese chicken soup noodles. The soup base is wonderfully tasty and creamy. It is garnished with deep fried burdock strips, which I don’t much care for. The pork slices are not the tough and dried up ones in so many Japanese ramen places. The soup base is nice. So is the cold noodle with a chicken broth dip is fine, so said my son.
Definitely will come back here now and then.

由於麵質唔索味 口感會較清淡 怕咸嘅都可以試吓
唯一缺點係個湯好快凍 要食得比較急😂
海鮮湯都唔錯 好香嘅柴魚味(應該係)
雞白湯食得多 可以換個口味

One of my favourite ramen restaurant in Hong Kong. Same standard as the one in Japan. I especially like their ramen soup base. It is rich and tasty.

It was OK. I had the uni ramen special which was fine. Perhaps a bit stingy with the noodles. Fried chicken was unremarkable. Service good. Social distancing fine. They give you a ziploc for your mask

Went to zagin few years ago.
When I go back last week. The soup is still creamy but it’s just a little. The foam of signature cappuccino soup is much less than before. The chicken was not tender my friend even gave up on eating.
Moreover a huge insect flied on a customer arm that night. The waitress didn’t pick it up at first cause she was scared.

I had the chicken and seafood soup, a bit too salty for me, but the service was good. Definitely worth trying!

Amazing hard to find concentrated chicken soup ramen. The toppings and sides are all done very well. The weakest part is the sliced meat. The interior is clean and bright, service is good and fast.

Finally tried this that has been widely appreciated by Hongkongers. Did not disappoint but did not especially surprise given the price point.
The joint serves three options of ramen – chicken broth, seafood chicken broth and tsukemen.
Tried the first two ($138). Both had a rich, thick broth that had a foam on top as the broth is whipped with what’s similar to the method of whipping coffee.
Both were flavorful but not salty, and I didn’t feel like I was having too much MSG.
Both came with a slice of sous-vide pork and chicken breast which were tender as well as deep-fried burdock. The burdock was crispy and definitely enhanced the overall presentation of the ramen.
Size was not too big and just right but to some it might not be fulfilling enough.

以雞白湯為基底，加入蝦乾、魚乾一起烹調，的確多了一層海鮮的鮮味🥰
兩道拉麵同樣配上低溫慢煮的雞胸肉、豚肉叉燒，肉質可以保持鮮嫩
掛在碗邊，可以就這樣吃，也可以沾上湯汁一起吃
拉麵麵條掛湯，質感也剛剛好🍜
除此以外，還有炸牛蒡，口感酥脆，作裝飾點綴，又提高了拉麵的整體層次😚

糖心蛋奉上時已經切好兩半，可以看見流心的蛋黃，熟度控制的很不錯🥚
不過雖說是有煙燻成分，但煙燻味道不重～
雞白湯沾麵：好食， 湯中有雞肉塊
不過沾汁很快變冷，吃了1/3的麵已經變成凍湯
份量很足夠
價錢稍貴，加一份蛋及加一已經over 170

Only visited their Happy Valley branches and though taste has not be consistent at times during pandemic. This time round (last week) the serve and food is lifted back to standard and did enjoy my ramen and fried chicken for dinner

I believe this is the top of all chicken soup ramen. The soup is thick and flavourful, but not salty at all. It tastes like a extremely authentic chicken cream soup, packed with umami taste and probably flavour from a whole chicken. The noodles are chewy and perfectly cooked.The soup can adhere with the noodles, so that you can taste the soup while eating the noodles. The pork and chicken slices are soft and tastes fantastic. I will definitely spend $160 to eat this bowl of ramen because it is just too good to be true.
