Located right next to the MTR exit of Sai Ying Pun station, Yau Cafe is a relatively new social enterprise in the hood. What’s special about it is that, it employs visually challenged people as baristas as well as massage therapists.
My friend and I visited on Halloween, and the latte we ordered gave us a nice surprise with this pretty latte art made with cacao powder. Not just pretty, but also very delicious! Also, the candies on the side were of top notch and they were so tasty! The whole coffee was very enjoyable too! Highly appreciate it.
We also booked a 30-minute head, shoulder and neck massage section to try (you can choose 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 50 minutes or 1 hour). This was actually my very first time having massage, and it was a super nice one! The massage therapist was very friendly, and she “worked” really hard to give me a nice massage to relief muscle knots in my shoulders and back. I could feel the blood circulation going stronger after the massage! My friend, who is a massage expert, said that this is one of the best she ever had in Hong Kong.
Definitely coming back again to support a nicely-run social enterprise like this!

好休閒的cafe
Yau Cafe offers coffee, cakes, small savory dishes and other drinks. There is also massage therapy available (see the options in the pictures), and the cafe employs people with vision impairments. The cafe is clean, nice and open, bright and especially nice that the music & environment isn’t too loud! 😊 The coffee here is nice, and also the special coffee drinks are genuinely enjoyable. Massages are great and they are great at listening your wishes (gentle, normal or more powerful). Definitely recommending this cafe and it’s services 😊💓

Japanese decor inspired cafe, the staff was very friendly and attentive. They introduced us the concept of their cafe which is massage and coffee. They work with visually impaired baristas and massage therapists. If you wish to join a massage session remember to go to their website and book it in advance.

今天，我慕名而來到休CAFE，與朋友休閒地過了一個下午，這間Cafe的咖啡和糕點都有水準。我們見到其中一名失明咖啡師，除了沖調咖啡外，還幫忙收拾餐桌，真厲害！值得大家支持的社企餐廳。這間Cafe的環境簡約，另有很多以Edan為主題的佈置，還有他的紀念品可自取。若是他的粉絲，更不容錯過。

Great little hideaway.
Ambience : Very cosy, wood and earth tone. I found the chair comfortable.
Service : Friendly.
Quality : Ordered a long black, reasonable.
Price : Long Black for HK$35, slightly on the high side.
Excellent service! (So rare for coffee shops in HK). Great coffee, comfortable atmosphere, good wifi, great social mission.
