I can’t stop going there as often as possible.
Love the salmon tartare and the lamb while chating with the chef sitting at the bar.
This new place is really nice and friendly and the cuisine is like no where.

Pricey for what it is
I moved to Hong Kong 6 months ago from New York City – where I would have like to call myself an amateur foodie – and have found the restaurants in Hong Kong to be somewhat disappointing, until I went to Metropolitain. Additionally, I only think of writing a review when I have a terrible experience, but my dinner tonight was too good to go unrecognised.
The first thing that caught my attention was the chef’s focus on the food in the open kitchen. When the food arrived, the presentation was exceptional, the food was executed flawlessly and most importantly, it tasted AMAZING.
I live in Sai Ying Pun and expect to be back here often!
Food and drinks were only okay for the Quality. Staff was quite cold and not so welcoming. Don’t think I will return.

They serve great brunch on the weekends, under good prices too. There are semi-alfresco seats near the entrance to enjoy some sunshine. The food items don’t seem exclusively French, but the international flavor is great nonetheless.

The Cappuccino was out of a capsule machine.

Nice location. Staff are really polite if you can find them. Food was hit or a real miss and clearly weeks from being fresh. The mussels were really bad, mushy and months old. Spring chicken was undercooked and bloody still. The squid was small but exceptional. Other than for a drink give this a wide berth.
Very good brasserie style French food not too overpriced.
Good reliable Franco fair. But expensive, but reliable. The staff are great.

一間外國人主理，華人廚師的餐廳。。。可能因為酒吧的關係，感覺都係嘈嘈的。。餐廳除了我和朋友，其他客人清一色外國人。。。本身打算訂枱，openrice的電話係有whatapp功能，點知。。。可能店主唔識睇中文，完全無回應。。好彩去到有位，而且唔算好多人。。點餐只係隨意，憑直覺去點，的確有趣。。鱈魚配大量的瓜。。。味道不錯的。魚肉實實的，可能雪魚的關係，無咩魚味。。好彩個汁夠濃，配搭得宜。
Metropolitain is a place to relax and enjoy some french classic, croque monsieur is the best!

Food: Chef’s attention to detail with the food is evident! The food was amazing but at a price! The overall experience was great though if you don’t mind the price. I came to catch up with a friend and this has been a good place to continue to do so!

Nice place, nice service, nice food. Great brunch: granola and egg royale are very good! The staff is friendly (mainly French) and it’s a good value for Money. I always pass by this restaurant everytime I visit Hong Kong. Will come back soon!

Kitschy decor, mediocre food, extremely loud environment and rude wait staff made for an overall unpleasant and disappointing experience. Would not recommend this place for dinner.
Excellent food, laid-back atmosphere, and welcoming staff make this my new go-to for casual, local, (yet delicious!) French fare. Takes me back to my days in Paris!
Nice big place, good for a lazy Sunday brunch
Four of us went we got duck breast, steak, duck leg and spring chicken and all dishes were fabulous the steak was cooked to perfection the same with the duck breast. Overall lovely place and reasonable prices for the standard of food, would definitely go again
Been eating here for over a year and wasn’t disappointed for a single time. Friendly staff, food cooked with great finesse. Have recommended it to so many friends and they all love it. My favorite are the onion soup (only available in the winter menu though) and seared tuna – great combination of cream sauce, grilled zucchini, cherry tomatoes and pine nuts, and the seared tuna is always cooked to perfection. The portion doesn’t look too big but it’s quite filling. The ox cheek is nice but a bit too heavy serving with pasta. Seared salmon with ratatouille is ok but not as outstanding as the others. Chocolate fondant is heavenly (used to be bigger though). The only thing is they changed the breakfast menu last year and removed the cheese and ham omelette, which was so silky and delicate and only $88. I mean it’s not a surprise restaurants raise the price once in a while but I really miss that omelette…
friendly staff..nice food
Really good breakfast omelettes. It can be a bit pricy and the wait took over 20 minutes. All in all pretty good spot for catching some good food before an adventure.
Surprisingly good food in a bistro setting. Very busy. Must book in advance on weekends. Not spacious. Can be a bit warm in summer.
We used to come here frequently, but recently a very disturbing experience will make us avoid this place.
The manager and staff were extremely rude, even said our dog was being “annoying”, and continued to complain. I thought this was the service industry? If we were doing something which affected other guests, you can tell us in a polite manner, and not in a derogatory way.
The way the staff handled the situation was appalling, and I would avoid the restaurant in the future.
