We really like this restaurant. The food is great and very tasty! We enjoying coming at least twice a month, and have recommended it to many people. We only have one issue, and that is the service. The staff are friendly, but they are slow and very forgetful. We often have to remind them 2-3 times for drinks, water or condiments. We find it very frustrating.
PSA: I don’t know how they prepare the food here, but however they do it, I’m pretty sure it’s unsanitary. I had the clams here and ended with the runs for two days here.
Fantastic service – they really went out of their way to accommodate us and our two young kids. Relaxed and good food.

Good food combined with first-class service make this a winner! Metropolitain is a French bistro-style restaurant serving classic French food (think moules marinere, steak tartare etc.). It also does more Anglo style food albeit with French flair. But the service is particularly noteworthy and the staff could not do enough for our two children (five and three).
Good.luck.if you have any issues with the service or the food. The manager knows absolutely nothing about hospitality, and actually started yelling at us when we complained and told her we were not going to pay for the service charge. The food was mediocre at best. Salad was drenched in sauce, while the escargot was flavorless (we actually had to add a lot of salt on it). Skip this place and head somewhere else instead.
Worst experience I’ve ever had in Hong Kong. The manager is so rude and started even insulting us when we left. I don’t know how someone can be so unprofessional and so bad at their job. I would never recommend this place to any of my friends and needed to share this. We are nice and polite people, but she made us leave with her behaviour before even odering. Disgusting!
We had a very nice time here. Next time we will go for the specials, as we didn’t notice them until too late, and they looked tasty. Nice wine, nice space

True authentic french bistro in the heart of HK! This place has been opened for quite a few years now and it has passed the test of time with flying colours! The ambiance, the service, the authenticity (again! But it’s really how it feels!!!), and of course, the menu! Just spot on for a french missing Paris or a local/tourist wondering about why so many french in HK and where do they like to go!?
Really glad we found this nice little gem in the middle of Sai Ying Pun mid levels. Very relaxed atmosphere with high ceilings. Perfect for people watching if you sit near the entrance.
The food was superb. We started with the daily special lentil soup & escargot. Then had the quinoa salad, salmon bagel, lobster linguini, and the duck confit. Everything was just right.
Will definitely be back. (Perfect 10min walk from Sun Yat Sen Park)…

Food was as good as usual. But our meals came very late, we had to wait for over 45 mins for the main course. Go there only if you can afford a long lunch / dinner.

Very delicious and authentic French food at reasonable prices (for HK).
Friendly service, decently priced set lunch, including a vegetarian option. Nice layout and pleasant indoor terrace, but tables are really close to each, no privacy. The soup was rich and thick, meat and linguini were equally tasty, the crumble, albeit on the smallish side, was sweet and crunchy. But the end of our lunch was ruined by the intrusion a couple with a large and inruly dog. They didn’t bother asking us if we were ok with their beast. Never mind, we promptly settled our bill, and went to another place for coffees. I live dogs and other pets but they have no place in restaurants for obvious and hygienic reasons.

Quality and taste would deserve more stars. The service, though, is not in line with the price. We had the impression that regular customer got all the attention, which is ok. But when you pay over 500HKD per person, even if you are not known, I think you could expect to be served with a proper courtesy and attention as well.

This is a must go restaurant in Hong Kong. I have brought my friends and family to this restaurant many times. They all like it. We always order Sea-bass, Steak, Pasta…. you would love to have their creme brulee and coffee to have a happy ending. So amazing that every time they keep the high quality of the food and won’t let you disappointed. Highly recommended.
Love this restaurant! We have a little pug (Jaxy) that they allow to sit in the front tables if they are free. As for the food, the beef tartare and linguini are two of the most delicious things in HK!
