La Rotisserie

I stumbled across this place coming home one night, and got a half chicken for lunch the next day. I’m super happy I did, as now I get a whole chicken every week, which keeps me satisfied for all of my lunches during the work week! I haven’t tried any of the other delicious looking treats here, but I can say that it’s an amazingly good roast chicken that literally keeps me coming back for more.

There isn’t really any seating, so don’t plan to dine in here, but it’s great take away. If it’s just one or 2 people there is a little table you could sit at to nosh if it’s open I suppose. $150 for a whole chicken, imported from france, they quarter it and give you the backbone so you can make some great stock after as well. Also sold in 1/2s and quarters I believe.

I’ve only tried the Sai Ying Pun location, but I can’t recommend it enough, and I’ll be sad if I ever have to move away from this delightful little rotisserie!

Tasty side dishes although overall selection is somewhat limited. There are a variety pies and cakes on offer at reasonable prices too. Great for takeout or casual lunch/dinner.

Location: 5-10 minute walk from Sai Ying Pun MTR station Exit B.

Key Takeaway: This is an ideal place for takeaway / takeout, if you’re around the block, stop by grab it and bring the delicious chicken home with some potatoes and vegetables!

The chicken was beautiful! Well seasoned, flavours were well balanced, and who didn’t love crispy chicken skin?

It serves best french roasted chicken!

I’ve patronize this little shop yesterday at lunchtime it was really crowded at lunchtime because a lot of students from around also buy their lunches here I order a set lunch of a quarter of a roast chicken with side dishes the portion size is more than enough and the roasted chicken is not bad at all nonetheless it is not particularly impressive either

Longtime fan, glad they have been able to expand from Sheung Wan. Chicken sandwich, croque monsieur and of course just the roasted chicken with awesome sides

One of the best chickens I had! Juicy, friendly staffs and serves the food fairly quickly! Love the chocolate cake made from Valrhona chocolate, has a balance of salty/sweet taste, highly addicting!!!

Nice and juicy chicken. The soup is very nice. Plus Mondays and holidays they have special. The downside is that around dinner time typically there is a queue.

Best roast chickens around.

I’m chicken can be dry some times even with the leg..maybe I just got the older made chicken.

Still think the place is great!

Chicken itself was ok. A quarter is just enough for one person, but just barely. The sides were well seasoned and have pretty good portions.

The paper bags they use for take away are not designed to hold chicken with the sauce. The paper bag, inevitably broke on my way home spilling all over my wife and the car. No thought has been put to the customer experience, not recommended.

The restaurant I used to take out frequently when I went to Hong Kong. Quiche and chicken grill are excellent.

Five stars for La Rotisserie, our HK salvation. Moving to the land of Glorious carbs, we quickly realized that we missed being able to get a nice protein and vegetable focused dinner La Rotisserie delivers on that promise every time. We go at least once a week for dinner. High on the list for anyone moving to HK.
