Servers were very friendly and helpful with recommending dishes as it was my first time there. Highlight: the fried shrimp cake was delicious. I’d definitely go back and bring my friends.
A great new Thai, food was excellent with some different choices designed by Kuhn Walaiphan. Service is also very friendly with really nice staff. Prices are good, well worth a visit. We will be back.
Great restaurant, awesome food, amazing customer service 😁😁😁 …
This Thai restaurant is a great addition to the neighborhood – great food!
Called the restaurant to make a reservation for a small party. Said they would set minimum spending and time limit for dining. Turned out they couldn’t be bothered. Never called back. With this arrogance, will be out of business soon.
Great food and friendly service
FOOD POISONING! Ordered a salad and the seafood obviously wasn’t fresh. Been ill for more than 24 hours. It’s very irresponsible to serve gone off food near the end of the day to just make extra money. Service and food like that means I won’t be coming back again!
Awesome vegetarian green curry and a tofu dish
Great food and service. We had a red curry and papaya salad, and both were excellent. The seating area at the back is lacking a bit in ambience, and the pop mashups on repeat aren’t the nicest mood music. Not enough to keep me from coming back to try more on the menu.
Pretty average Thai food, not fresh at all, a burden to the tastebuds and stomach, really disappointing considering the price I payed. Go to Thai Smile instead, it’s authentic, Thai run and there’s no pretence. (I’m not affiliated but don’t want people paying for overpriced, bad Thai food just because it’s on High Street).
Very good place for casual dinning.
Very tasty. Love the spices and fresh food
Very nice thaï Food! They have weekender set lunch which totally worth it. Portion size is big! Worth it and service is good. No service charge
Amazing and authentic Thai food that is family run – Best green curry and Pad Thai in HK! It’s our neighborhood favorite, the staff always remembers us and is super friendly and the food quality is always fresh and tasty.
Really enjoyed it. Small, seemed authentic, great food, good service.
Price on high side but you can see their passion in their food.
Typical Thai taste
Delicious Thai food. Cosy and slightly crowded place but overall worth a visit if you’re nearby.
Best Thai I’ve had in hk. Do the BBQ platter.
Best Thai food in HK!
The best Thai cousin I have tasted outside of Thailand. They have a special sauce that goes on the mussels, we asked and they gave us that sauce to go with the salt fish and the grilled chicken. Very nice staff, very friendly. We had to go twice during our 4 day holiday in HK.
Wonderful owner run Thai restaurant. Fantastic lunch set. Tastiest fish cakes I’ve ever had. Highly recommended.
A great place to have authentic Thai food. They are efficient and polite, always making us feel comfortable. They deliver quality food consistently. I would highly recommend to anyone to visit their establishment.
Good phad Thai. Cramped seating but it is HK!
好食,午市套餐抵食,服務非常好,值得一讚
湯姆百胜超級而且總體上很真誠
Very nice authentic Thai food!
My only disappointment is that I did not discover it sooner.
Food are dedicated made by this small cosy Thai restaurant. The service is great too. The only thing is a little overpriced.
Best Thai in Hong Kong
I visited Hong Kong for 6 days and I ate at some of the very popular restaurants, including some Michelin starred restaurants, and this restaurant was my favourite. The food was out of this world. The ingredient are super fresh. They do not use MSG, all their ingredients are fresh. You can taste subtle flavours of lemongrass, kafir lime leaves, galangal, and all the other fragrant Thai ingredients. The only way that I can describe their food is like Thai food on steroids. We ordered Pad Thai, Tom Yum soup and Green Curry. I can honestly say that this has been THE best Thai food I’ve ever eaten. Oh, do try their mango and sticky rice, it’s so delicious. Thai is my favourite cuisine, I’ve been to Thailand twice, visited 8 different cities and islands in Thailand. I’ve eaten Thai in London, Cape Town, New York and many other places but nothing can compare to the food at Krua Walaiphan. If you get the opportunity to try their food, you won’t be disappointed. The service is exceptionally friendly and Renee is such a lovely Person. We even got to meet the chef. Well worth every HK Dollar.
Really quite good. Wasn’t busy (perhaps a quiet night?) but deserves to be given the quality of food and the fact that it is not expensive.
味道不錯,服務也不錯。
Very good quality different to other Thai places in the neighbourhood. Tasty and fresh. Service is even better
One of the most authentic Thai restaurant in HK island. Price is good for the food quality and environment that you get. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend
Great thai food. Especially chicken.
Authentic Thai food at reasonable prices. The quality is just as good (if not better) than Chachawan. Get the KW Signature Fish and basically everything else on the menu! Can’t wait to go back.
We tried the signature chicken and fish. The food is simply awesome. You can feel the love and passion. I definitely would come back again!
Quite a small neighbourhood Thai restaurant with really friendly staff.
The desserts are particularly good here – coconut icecream was excellent and the banana pancake is really good.
Well worth coming here.
Super authentic Thai kitchen. Really enjoyed the food and service. Thanks a lot. Even our baby liked being here 😉
Great Thai food and nice clean place.
Tasty Thai food in the Sai Ying Pun district. The menu has some specialties that you won’t find everywhere. Staff here is friendly and the service overall is good. My four star rating is based on:
Food: 4 stars
Service: 4 stars
Environment: 3.5 stars
Value: 3.5 stars
Recommendations: kai prow, Thai iced tea
Overall the food here is pretty good and for the most part fairly authentic. There are a few items we had that resembled more Chinese food than Thai but still tasted good (spring rolls and soup). The pad se yeu here is pretty good and would order that again. The roasted fish is their specialty but I thought it was just ok. I particularly enjoyed the Thai iced tea and their kai prow.
Delicious food, warm hospitality
I eat enough Thai food and this is probably one of the best in HK.
Extremely overpriced and marginally authentic. Their food is extremely greasy and they don’t even have a Chinese or Thai menu. I think we can guess who their target market is… I had a stomach ache after eating because of all the salt and grease. If you’re going to charge nearly 160hkd for pad Thai, you can at least make sure the shrimp is fresh.
Staffs were very polite and the atmosphere of this restaurant is cozy. The restaurant is not usually crowded so reservation is not required. The food on the other hand was spectacular and portion is relatively big.
Very nice place !!
Amazing Thai food…best we have had in Hong Kong
喝啤酒捏🍻。
A humble restaurant with average thai food. The people are nice.
