Bought a plain bagel during their soft opening and was pleasantly surprised. The bagels I buy in HK are usually fluffy and remind me of white loaf bread. This place is the closest I’ve gotten to my old NYC bagel shop- chewy, dense inside with a crustier outside. I’ll def go back and try more.
As good a croissant and pain au chocolat I have had in HK – holds the comparison to a decent bakery in France, which is not that easy to find here ! Vegetarian quiche was tasty as well. Staff friendly and welcoming. The coffee is good as well – definitely recommended for a take away if you live in the area !
The first time we went here, we tried the cinnamon roll. It was a slightly chewier, yeastier cinnamon roll — I imagine some would appreciate that, but it wasn’t really my cup of tea. But I happened to be walking past today and decided to try the carrot cake. It was AMAZING. Probably the best carrot cake I’ve ever had. So moist and perfectly spiced, with a tangy cream cheese frosting. I will be back and recommend it to others!
This place just opened up a few months ago and I have been going there at least 3 times a week since. Luckily it’s just across the street from where I live so it’s my go to bakery for morning/afternoon pastries and bread.
I absolutely love their Ham and Cheese Croissants. The cheese on top is baked to a perfect crisp and the spread of dijon mustard with ham on the inside creates an unbelievably balanced and delicious croissant. My girlfriend always gets their Pain de Chocolat and Cinnamon Rolls. Their muffins, breads, and cakes are also amazing.
The people who work there are very friendly too. I highly recommend picking up something from this bakery but you should come earlier or most things will be sold out.
Walked past here a few times and finally decided to try it! I was recommended the oatmeal bread which was really nice. I love the strong oatmeal flavour and the fluffy, chewy texture of the crumb – the cube shape is also super cute! Went back for the pain de mie which was really good too. Wish i lived closer but definitely worth the trip.
Located on Third Street, Sai Ying Pun, Miam Bakery is a bakery shop that sells seemingly freshly made bread, croissants, twists, muffins, and cinnamon buns.
The cinnamon bun was why I paid a visit to this bakery before hitting the gym. My friend said she first visited Miam Bakery when it was newly opened, the cinnamon bun was just so so, as it broke into pieces…
But I guess Miam Bakery has improved their recipe, or maybe staying overnight allowed the bun to soak up more moisture in the air, this cinnamon I got made a great breakfast on the day after I bought it. It was dense (and stayed as a whole piece), and the strong cinnamon flavor was so enjoyable! Absolutely lovely!
Beware of the thin aluminum foil at the bottom though, it’s so thin and sharp that it cut my lower lip…

Very very very superb croissant and cinnamon roll! I am absolutely a croissant and cinnamon lover. Miam’s croissant is fantastically fresh the texture is a bit chewy which just highlights the croissant itself. The cinnamon roll… LOADS cinnamon and with the moist texture the bread, tasty! I’ll definitely visit it again again and again.

This is my favorite bakery! The staff are really friendly and patient in introducing their products.

份量大，厚實有彈性 濕潤但不粘口 包心有點大氣孔，感覺好像用了很活躍的天然酵母😚我很喜歡酸種，之前比較常吃是Levain嘅酸種，這裡的酸種也很不錯👍吃過之中紮實緊緻度最高，但一點也不乾，單吃也十分美味，買了後叫店員幫助切片，就邊行邊整個吃掉🙉當日出爐 沒有翻熱之下吃 外皮硬微脆帶韌性，好嚼，味道方面不帶酸味，有麵粉香，我選了杏桃餡，杏桃份量不算多，集中在頭尾部分(圖片是頭尾)中心比較少，當日還有橄欖油漬番茄和紅酒無花果！下次要再試下！如果同時間有果乾和nuts餡就好了🤭😋

Very strong cinnamon taste yet not so sweet. The bun itself is super chewy! I ate it at room temperature, can’t imagine how many I’ll eat when they just came out from oven🤤🤤🤤 @miam_bakery_hk you guys made me walk all the way up under this hot n humid day🥵 but it’s all worth it!!

Went with coworkers hoping to get bagel, but they do not have plain bagel and the day’s special was not a flavor we liked so we end up getting cheesy bun, cheese cake, green tea roll (or cake, I forgot). The cakes were quite delicious, but the chessy bun was a bit too hard even after re-heat, and the cheese was quite mild so the bun tasted a bit “boring”… Overall it was quite nice and will go again for their bagel. Heard their bagel was great. Staff was friendly too.
P.S. this place is cash only. the other day we dropped by but we don’t have enough cash. anyway will definitely go again.
terrible bread
So many praises for the cinnamon roll but it was okay for me, probably my own preference. Liked their fig walnut sourdough. Earl grey pound cake texture was nice but wasn’t fragrant enough for me. Overall an above average bakery. Would buy if I lived in the neighborhood but would not go all the way every day to get bread here.
A little bakery on the third street. There is no seat in the shop and mainly serve takeouts. Once got into the shop, there was a strong baking smell which was so good. The kitchen is visible and it is very tidy and hygienic. I found there wasn’t too many cakes or bread in display but the staff said she can help check the availability. There were some pound cakes slides- carrot cake, banana cake and basque cheesecake, they all looked so good. The basque cheesecake was very nice with rich cheese and the burnt top gave an extra touch up of the taste. The staff was so nice to allow me eat in. Many people came in and took their reserved cakes.
Best French bakery in HK! The croissants and pains au chocolat are exactly how they taste like in Paris! A must try!

冇呃大家 切開個餡真係得一條邊咁多 我本身以為自己切唔啱位先得咁少 但原來我切嘅角度已經係睇得最多喊嘅位🤡無言。。。就算呢個bagel唔係Sell餡 佢嘅口感都唔好食 唔知係咪擺太耐再加上冬天嘅關係 食落淨係覺得好乾好硬 唔煙韌 我夜晚買完急不及待即刻食 以為好好食 但結果有種月尾唔夠錢洗要捱食啲好難食嘅麵包嘅感覺🤡

Just high quality, well made stuff. I think they really put the effort. Pain au chocolat and kouign amann my usual picks. 20% more chocolate in the pain au chocolat, and would be 6 stars (for my taste, but i am a brute).

Lovely little bakery with the most friendly owners, and a dedication to constantly improve their recipes for perfection.
Loved everything I tried there. The cinnamon bun had just the right mix of cinnamon and sugar. It’s not on the super sweet side, yet sweet and Spicy enough to get the holiday cheer out of ya. The owners are currently tweaking their bun recipe to perfect the texture of the bun. Stay tuned for a follow-up review.
I’ve also ordered the quiches, which don’t just smell wonderful, but taste wonderful too. Special praises to the crust, Crispy, solid, but not crumbly.
The bakery doesn’t offer any seating. But if you happen to be around the neighborhood, be sure to bring some goodies back home.
Passing by for the first time, tried the bagel and oatmeal bread. So good… Superb!
My favourite little bakery. Literally everything is so good. I keep going back to make sure I try every single thing they make. The Koughn-Amann is incredible. If they have it in stock, you have to try it.
Best almond croissant in town
Been visiting Miam bakery since its early days. Having lived in France and the UK for many years where neighbourhood bakery is a thing, I have always felt blessed to have Miam around to fix my craving. I really like this bakery because they make really good viennoiseries with high-quality ingredients. I think their products even beat some of the famous bakeries in town.
This is probably one of the best bakery in town. The varieties are phenomenon, all goodies with their uniqueness.
The croissant (any flavors) is one of my favorite which is different from most of the well-known high-end bakeries which only focus on the crunchiness of croissant. The croissant pastry layers at Miam are crisp and thin on the outside, soft and with a little bit of chewy inside without losing a hint of moisture which makes it only mouthwatering , but without dryness at all. 😋❤ Kids would love them for sure with their little soft mouth.
If you happen in the neighborhood,, definitely should stop by to check it out.
I used to like this place until what happened today.
I went to Miam bakery after 6pm without knowing that it usually closes at 6. I made my order but realised that I didn’t have enough cash, so I told them I would go to ATM to withdraw cash for it. The staff told me “ok”. However, after I withdrew the cash and went back to the shop, the SAME staff didn’t prepare my order and told me the shop was closed at 6. I can’t understand if you couldn’t keep your words why would say ok for my order???
I am sorry that I didn’t notice your closing time was 6, and I fully understood it was over your working time too. I wouldn’t mind if you told me when I firstly entered the shop that your closing time was 6 or you’d close soon so no more order. For 100% sure I would revisit the bakery like I always did. However, I didn’t see my time and effort for being trustworthy was valued by the staff. 🙁
What can I say? Thank you for your previous service, effort that put into baking. However, I wish customers could be more valued in the future.
I love the ham & cheese croissant here but my gripe is that my taste doesn’t seem to align with the rest of their customer base. To me, their salty, smoky ham and cheese rolled and baked into the croissant dough is the ultimate guilty pleasure for breakfast, but it often doesn’t hit the shelves until at least 10:30, usually 11, by which time breakfast is a mere distant memory for me. Whoever’s eating apple turnovers for breakfast, you’re hogging precious oven space!!!
The almond croissant with the cakey-craquelin-esque topping is also a decadent treat, but too sweet for my breakfast tooth. I see lots of reviews for the cinnamon bun which is more Scandinavian in style than US Cinnabon, so manage expectations accordingly. I keep meaning to try some of the bread items but I’m usually too disappointed the ham & cheese croissants still aren’t ready.
