It was very interesting place with interesting mix and matches of different food ingredients although the portion was a bit small. Staff are very very friendly however the kitchen was a bit slow. Would go there another time to try the wine.

Menu only had approx 4-5 options for both starters and main, but 3 starters were veggie and one main was. All delicious
A small neighbourhood restaurant. Their dishes are served tapas style and designed to be shared. Western style cooking but with heavy Asian influence like 老乾媽 (Chinese Chilli sauce) and curry with coconut rice. What I like it about Brut is their food combination works, and not one those fusion restaurant doing it for the sake of fusion.
Amazing hospitality. Interesting flavours combination, not my cup of tea. The flavours were a bit too strong and it got me feeling a bit sick after dinner. Starters were not that good and the mains were a bit disappointing. The steak was very tender and interesting flavour brought by the marination with coffee. The pork belly was blend and dry. Besides, the glass of red served was corked which was not acceptable. Overall won’t be visiting again.
Wonderful staff and comfortable seating arrangement – can’t believe I missed this place for 5 years! Very reasonable pricing as well.
The chicken thigh and fried rice was my favourite, and I would just rely on the staff recommendation for wine.

Loved it. So unique and tasty.
Food is Western with a lot of Asian influence. Really good quality with interesting flavors that work well together. The wine list here is unique and reasonably priced. The staff were all very friendly, explained the dishes and the wines thoroughly. The restaurant itself is pretty small though and a bit cramped. Overall, I would recommend and come back again.

super friendly service, but be prepared for a very cramped setting. the fatty layer on the kimchi pork belly was still quite hard, so it was a bit off-putting to eat, and the sauce on the shrimp dish already had a solidified layer on top, which might suggest that the sauce has been sitting on the counter for a while before it was served…
Lovely food. Wonderful atmosphere. Will return for sure.

One of our favorites but (sadly) the high-chair communal seating is starting to be very uncomfortable esp if you get seated next to a very loud group. Hanger Steak was undercooked this time, Clams were good, Grandmas Roll was confusing (not sure what taste it was trying to impart), Scallops were excellent, Mac n Cheese is consistently their best dish. Will visit again when they have a new menu.

Glad to see this neighbourhood restaurant has survived the pandemic. The menu is creative and well prepared. The service is personal, the hostess proactive and engages us between courses, taking the time to explain the story of each dish. Love the unusual wine list and the knowledgeable staff.
Fantasric small informal French wine and diner with excellent Pork Steak with figs, Ribeye and Duck Confit. Must try their non alcoholic Champagne for those who has limited tolerance.

There is less reason to visit again. In terms of food quality, our steak came only lukewarm, as did the sake clams which should have been hot. The tasting menu now has cut out the dessert (the price is the same), a practice that is unheard of. Customers have less space as the restaurant tries to sit 8 customers at a table previously used to serve up to 6.
I used to go to Brut! every 6-9 months but I think the new food portion, level of quality, and seating will mark my last visit. Good things don’t last.
