Great place to hang out with children or dogs. I love that the ingredients are organic and safe, and meals are healthy but delicious
Very nice experience with delicious food and friendly staff.
Try the spinach quesadillas and the slow cooked ribs. Great spot, friendly and cozy
Fantastic restaurant. The short ribs and soba are both must trys. Food is a little pricey, but the quality more than makes up for it.
Good little restaurant with organic ingredients
Very fresh and healthy food. They offer a good variety of set lunch
The kale salad disgusted me.It’s revolting, it’s too hard to swallow.I felt sick after eating it.After I went to this restaurant,I continued throwing up whole night. This restaurant totally screwed up my holiday in Hong Kong.
Great local organic restaurant serving international dishes.
Decent cooking using local ingredients. A bit pricey and the service is very spotty when it gets busy on weekends
When we arrived to this place they told us to leave because there was “a private party” (just a few tables occupied by people that obviously don’t even know each other). As a tourist that didn’t feel comfortable… Never coming back or recommending it at all
Nice venue. Dog friendly. Good staff. Food is good but a little pricy.
Nice and cheap
Tasty dishes but very small and a little overpriced. Service was very poor always trying to flag a waitress even having to ask for water. Also the atmosphere was very smokey. But the ingredients used seem to be of good local quality.
Very good food but SO pricy esp the alcohol (which isn’t fancy enough anyway). I’ve had plenty of pricy food that I feel are worthy of the cost for many or any reason, but mostly for the portion and cliche factor, this place doesn’t quit cut it. The area offers loads of food for much better deals.
Good honest food, friendly people. I can recommend.
A rather unimpressive place with subpar service with prices that do not match what it offers. We noticed clearly that the service we received was less favorable than those received by tables filled with expats, even though my wife is Caucasian (American) and the rest of us reside and are highly educated professionals either in the UK or in the US. Even my wife was not sure why the owner was clearly less friendly to us and the servers were tardy.
Yes, it offers 48-hour sous vide ribs and other reasonably good dishes with gluten free/vegetarian labels, gimmicks that are easily done in just about any restaurants in Hong Kong, but that’s about it. Little do they know that I worked with a major sous vide manufacturer and know it (and food) intimately. For this kind of “farm-to-table” offers, we had much better experience and food at Grassroots Pantry, not too far away from here; with better food (run by a Condon Bleu trained chef), interior design, ambient and, most importantly of all, respectful service.
At the price they charge at Locofama, and the service they offer, there are way better options in the area. Stay “local”, which probably means stay away from this expat-focused place.
Cool place with interesting modern healthy menu, though somewhat expensive.
Cool little restaurant with trendy healthy dishes. Apparently using all locally sourced ingredients. Not so wheelchair friendly but dogs welcome!
Really nice restaurants, they have a place that you can book! It’s really good and friendly
Nice quiet street, good food and decent service from friendly staff
Tasty organic cuisine
Tasty and decently priced food made of local ingredients (as much as possible)
Good concept but can improve on taste.
Nice place hidden in a lovely corner of a quiet neighbourhood. Good coffee and dessert. Provides minimum of service but friendly enough.
(Kitchen breaks from 3-6pm.)
Loved the food. Small serving though
Probably the best no fuss weekend Brunch in Sai Ying Pun
We went here for a early dinner and everything was excellent. We tried the short ribs, and they were fantastic! We also had the kale salad, which was fresh and delicious, with a nice complementary dressing. The Carbonara was good, as was the Black Truffle Crab Dip. It was nice to have toasted fresh bread served with the dip.
Dog friendly, with a nice relaxing atmosphere. We will be back!
Crappy place, tons of bugs around you, and you have to sit between some parked cars and motorbikes. Eow.
Dogs. So good for dogs.
Ok food, small portions, expensive.
Great place for celebrations. Romantic atmosphere with plenty choices for vegetarian and vegan.
Best salad I’ve had in ages. I’d eat here all the time if I lived in HK. Great healthy paleo options.
Overpriced for the portion sizes and quality of the dishes.
So delicious. Has yummy GF options
Lovely Place and nice people to dine in!
Nice place
Food was tasty but portion very small for the price. Also you will need to expect plastic cups, wooden forks and paper plates which is a thumb down from an environmental point of view. We were seated at the detached gallery area (new area)and received almost zero service (not even a menu given to us), which is only fair when service charge is waived (which they did). Overall it’s a laid back environment but service needs to catch up.
Loved the concept of the place and decided to give it a try for dinner. Unfortunately, we had an awful experience right from the service, to the price, to the portions. The taste was just ok and definitely did not justify the price or make up for the portion sizes.
The food portions were tiny and very expensive. We ordered a prawn and pomelo salad ($88) that was barely half a portion for a normal adult, kalbi beef sliders ($138) that was normal slider sized but with a dry patty and very little else, and a handful of assorted skewers (can’t remember which we ordered).
We also ordered beer on top of that – we ordered IPA as we saw it was on the happy hour menu, but instead of telling us that there was ANOTHER IPA that was non happy hour, we were served the regular priced one. But never mind, that was partly our fault for not being specific.
The bill came up to about $500 and we were still hungry. We don’t have big appetites, mind you. Usually a salad each is more than sufficient.
We gave up on the place and decided to go somewhere else to have a second dinner.
It was even difficult trying to get anyone’s attention when trying to pay the bill. After we managed to convince someone to give us service, they returned the wrong charge to us. We gave up and just left rather than trying to get someone to take notice of us.
I just saw someone’s review about them (Asians) getting worse service than westerners, and I guess that explains the attitude we got – we were the only Asians in that place at that time.
The place is quite nice and food are delicious.
However the service need some improvements.
Since the ordering is filled in by customer, customer may not know what how to filled in it. My friend thought that she can choose 2 different types of eggs for the brunch, however only one type is allowed. The waiter did not tell us to choose only one type. They just choose it for us.
So it will be better for them to review their method for ordering / have some double check with the customer about their order.
But in general the food is good, but slightly small in portion.
The quesadilla was the winner, but all the food was wonderful. It might be a bit on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for. All made with fresh ingredients, cooked to perfection, and served with delicious wine and craft beer. The atmosphere is modern, but cozy and the menu is full of things I want to try!
Tiny portion very expensive
The food and atmosphere are good but imo a bit pricey.
All made with fresh ingredients, cooked to perfection, and served with delicious wine and craft beer.
Animals
Decent organic food, healthy juices and coffee. Good spot for brunch and in the evening for dinner. Hidden down a back street cul-de-sack so got a cosy feel with seating outside too.
