Nice dumplings, but the place is small, can’t seat a lot people in there. Also kind of crowded at night.

Absolutely hands down the best dumplings (and meal) I have had in Hong Kong…I had the Pork and Leek dumplings and a bowl of the sweet/sour soup. .the owner even let me charge my phone and grab a couple of beers from the 7/11…..and it was just 75 HK$ …highly recommend !!!

Hmm there must have been a mix-up years ago since there appears to be two Google places attributed to the same Hometown Dumplings. Anyhow! I want to copy over my review and ratings over to this page since this place is hands down the best dumpling place in HK.

They sell Shandong dumplings, unlike the Cantonese versions that some people might be acquainted with. People here uphold the standard of “皮薄餡靚” (thin skin and nice fillings), but you don’t get that with Home Town Dumpling. Instead, you get these rustic thick-skinned Northern dumplings that are the size of your palms, nestled in white starchy noodles, and served in a big warm bowl of soup that – I imagined – used to comfort and fill the stomachs of those poor wind-bitten Northerners back in the days. Jokes aside, It’s hands down the best dumpling place I’ve ever been. My personal favorite is the fish one. Don’t get weirded out by the idea of having fish in it – it’s fillings are more like a mixture of fish and pork. It gives an even better texture compared to its bok choy pork counterpart (Ie less dense), and it’s more flavorful. None of the cold dishes fail me either. I have yet to try it’s rice dishes but my friends told me they are decadent.
Think clam chowder, shepherd pie, mac and cheese. It’s that level of comfort but better.

Compared with Wangfu which is my favourite dumpling place in central, this place has similar authentic northern Chinese style dumplings. They give you free tea which is nicer. However they didn’t give free tissue, and there is no chilli oil, only the sauce which is actually not that spicy. Overall nice and I would come again if I’m in the area. They also have 2 cute cats which is a bonus!

服務差 魚餃一般 很失望

Focused menu with good range of homestyle Chinese dishes. Everything is well prepared. I recommend trying the lamb and the pork and leak dumplings, but on the menu it’s hard to go wrong. Highly recommended

就如鋪頭名所謂，可以話主打餃子，種類都幾多，有淨菜，或配豬、牛、羊、魚等。幫襯過好幾次有外賣，有堂食，眼見大部份人都叫餃子當主食，再加一至兩碟其他餸菜。大部份餃子都係一碟十隻，大大隻，皮比較厚，但都算多汁，一個人食晒其實都幾飽，價錢就4x-5x，現場食好味過外賣。
其他餸菜就坦白講普通啦，唔係好好味但又唔係唔係唔好味咁(有啲廢話)，有少少貴啦，不過我自己就幾鍾意個羊肉嗆湯麵(少少騷)、炸醬麵、同葱爆牛/羊肉。

Was there with a friend, we ate 10 star super tasty pork&cabbage dumplings and minced vegetable rice with roasted chicken.both were super tasty!!very nice and friendly atmosphere inside♥️

餃子肉有汁，但皮較為厚，麵條和湯沒話好突出。
䓤爆羊肉飯的大蔥較為好食。
舖面有兩張大圓枱加四張細枱，很多時都需要搭枱而且舖內環境都較為嘈雜。
所以這是一間本地普通家常便飯的餐廳，適合快快食一餐。

店雖小；但很有北京風味！味精不多！吾錯吾錯！
