Barista Jam

Packed with people must be good?
Nothing special to me since the pastry was not homemade, all sourced from outside. When we asked for any signature or recommendation, the staff was not that passionate and attentive. I finally only ordered a cup of Americano since there’s not much to attract you. Noting really made the impression.

Ordered the white iced coffee. Very strong, very smooth. Highly recommend. Clean and stylish interior. Service is slow but it’s because it’s so intentional.

The “Original” best coffee in hk.
First visit to Barista Jam was about 10yrs ago, when the HK coffee scene was virtually non existent. Barista Jam was THE go to back then, but unfortunately the service declined over the years and increased competition with equally good or better offerings made it easy to go elsewhere. However with a new location (just across the road from the original outlet) and an open mind, we decided to give it another go after 8-10yrs absence. They did not disappoint!! Perhaps there had been a change of hands, but this Barista Jam was better than ever – the service, the coffee…everything had improved. We will definitely be back.

I bumped into Barista Jam by chance as I was walking in Hong Kong Soho. It is unassuming, small but it has great atmosphere inside. As a matter of fact, if you are not paying attention, you may miss it. I went in and order some coffee and pastries. The coffee was one of the best I had in Hong Kong, and HK has many coffee places 😉
The pastries were also quite good, more of a French style rather than local. The only drawback is that the place is quite small and popular so you may not get a place to sit. But if you are looking for a great cup of coffee or expresso, I highly recommend Barista Jam.

Unlike the Geisha I had before. May be over extracted. May give it a try on another one next time

An industrial designed cafe located in the heart of Sheungwan. They offered a wide variety of food, pasties and cakes, alongside with some classic drinks.

I ordered the ice drip coffee, which is super refreshing and enjoying the slight bitterness from the coffee so much.

I paired it with an earl grey crème brûlée, which is strong in tea flavours and merges so well with the chocolate scent. However you couldn’t really tell that it’s a crème brûlée with the layers, it’s like a mousse cake instead.

I expected to be more relaxed but feeling quite uncomfortable. The food is good indeed. Coffee bias is a flower and nuts taste, no strong taste.

Phenomenal coffee! Must try the cold brew ones.
The food was surprisingly good as well. Staff was really friendly. A nice place to chill and perhaps work a bit.

食品選擇不多，是現時流行的簡單餐饍文化，招呼可以，出品亦算有水準，性價比不高，用餐氣氛可以。

My new fav spot to people watch at the Escalators with coffee or ice cream, or both!
