A modernized Cha Chaan teng, located on a back street up on the hill where east meets west, offers a variety of local and western common comfort food with good quality.
The cafe design looks like very modern, and it’s got a semi-open kitchen and drink bar. But from the energy of the staff you could feel the core of what a Cha Chaan Ten have – fast paced, work esteem, and organized.
Since it’s located above Hollywood road, you would expect there would have some foreigners visit. And this cafe offers some common western food with some local fusion provides you more options for brunch than local one. While they still keep the original favourites like instant noodles breakfast with luncheon meat and well made sunny side eggs. Oh yes, they make good milk tea as well.
It opens in weekends, and gives you some happy problems if you are looking for a good brunch in Sheung Wan.
Simple HK fare with good menu to choose from, will come again!

Ordered the scrambled egg with bbq pork on rice, and a coffee. Scrambled egg was undercooked, room temperature and watery, BBQ pork flavourless, and included in the bowl was some watery, overcooked cabbage, which was inedible. There was water pooling under the rice at the bottom of the bowl. Without asking, they’d also drenched the food with some sweet hoisin-like sauce, and they automatically served the coffee with milk in it (I wanted / expected black coffee). The coffee itself tasted stale and weak, and was served lukewarm. The flavour reminiscent of used coffee grounds, or poured from someone else’s unfinished coffee. Despite being famished, I couldn’t finish. Gross.

Cafe fusion with Hong Kong style restaurant, not exceptional delicious but you can see their efforts. Interior is not charming but comfortable enough. Efficient service & nice staff. Price is reasonable.
