Had a tea set : Piccolo and Chocolate Sea Salt cake. Piccolo was made well. Cake was homemade and very nice. Staff was friendly. Total price HK$73 was not cheap but fair for the price-performance experienced.
Simple menu and reasonable coffee. Not the ambience of other individual coffee shops, but fresh and relaxed anyway. There are better places for a place to work outside the office though.
As a vegan lover it is total delight because they serve almond milk! Atmospheric for hipsters.
Great flavor with the espresso, with two blends to choose from. Staff were welcoming and attentive as well. Great minimalist/European decor as well.
Friendly atmosphere and service. Food is good especially the coffee and self-made cakes
My oasis in Hong Kong! Go to place if I want a change in palette. Good quality food, good service and a nice place to have a good meal
Flat white is really good. They get a bit weird at lunch time if you only want coffee to stay in, this gives poor impression. Never had food, I do go back for the coffee.
Nice atmosphere and delicious smoothie!
Earl grey chiffon cake was light and tasty. Coffees were very good as well! Cafe is clean and comfortable. Prices come a little steep and service can be quite slow esp when it’s busy.
Tasty, reasonable price
like the openness seating here with street view
Home make caffè ☕ so nice😄👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 …
I have walked pass Kaffeine for numerous times, but never had a chance to try it, as it was always busy during weekends, especially when it was newly opened. It popped up on my mind after failing to try another restaurant nearby, so I rushed in at 17:25, and managed to get an afternoon tea set before it closes at 18:00.
The Salmon & Avocado croissant was absolutely delightful! The croissant was very crispy and buttery, super delicious indeed! The toppings were great too! I particular like the hearty avocado mash!
The hot chips on the side were a nice surprise. They were quite spicy indeed, but in a good way. They were very enjoyable especially when served hot.
The afternoon tea set was HKD$78, and I topped up for a small cup of Flat White with HKD$15. A legit one. But when the bill came, it took me by surprise as HKD$93 is actually quite pricey for an afternoon tea set…
Nice atmosphere, good location, nice staff with delicious food and coffee. Will back again soon.
Nice Cafe and have simple set meals
Nice cosy cafe.
The coffee was good, had a choice of blends for my cappuccino, the peach ice fruit tea was good, was literally peach ice!). Tried 2 Grandma’s Scones ~Sea salt caramel chocolate (was ok, couldn’t taste the sea salt, or the caramel, more of the chocolate) and apple cinnamon (was good).
Food s good right there, love the scones, just a bit sour of the coffee, not my taste.
Good coffee. Friendly staff.
Iced soy latte with signature roast coffee. Taste wise, good. Like the nutty taste to it. Size can be a little bigger.
Very good place
Busy little coffee and food gem in Sheung Wan.
Yes one of those places with young people and a good simple plan. Good coffee, yummy cakes and healthy simple food options.
Visit this coffee shop in an early Saturday morning. Very cosy and spacey place – in wooden style decoration, an open area of seating plan where your back is literally the Main Street.
Food is great as well – having advocao toast and muffin as brunch. Very delicious. In particular, the muffin is crispy outside while super soft inside. Serving with blueberry jam and scream. What a great taste.
Lastly, the waitress service quality is just the same level as the muffin – excellent. It’s a place that you can have a quiet and chill weekend morning.
Not a good place to chill during weekends.
The cafe was too crowded and many people were lining up.
So the staff urged us to leave after our meals.
The food was alright, not impressive but okay.
The croissant was not crunchy at all, but the avocado & salmon tasted okay.
The risotto was better, but the duck liver was a bit too small.
Overall, it’s okay.
I paid $93 for all of this. Seems expensive but pretty much everything around this area is this price, especially for nice cafes $93 might even be on the cheaper side! The avo toast was delicious, as well as the coffee! Would not do this every morning, but perfect to treat myself once in a while! Definitely would recommend
20 minute wait for a coffee. Painful
On a street competing with several coffee shops this place caught our eye. We had an avocado smoothie and iced hazelnut coffee that was absolutely divine. The interior was very modern and had a clean design. Service was great.
Lovely coffee and helpful staff! Discount on cookies if you get a coffee.
Very good food.
Came here by accident. And turn out their coffee is great. I ordered Piccolo, and it was mild, not sour (which is my preferred coffee).
Then I tried their Matcha Latte. And I also love it. Balance amount of milk and matcha ❤️
Nice place for a salad lunch

Kaffeine opened up on Jervois Street a couple years back. It is one of a handful of coffee shop/cafes along this street in Sheung Wan. Opening hours are 8am to 6pm (weekdays) and 10am to 6pm (weekends).
Kaffeine is a clean and tidy place with a small indoor seating area but with tables distanced fairly apart. They also use large plastic screens to help separate patrons. You can also order take-away and delivery from Kaffeine if you prefer to have coffee and/or light bites from their menu from the comfort of your home, office or area hotel.
I find the espresso fine at Kaffeine, it leans towards the citrus and bitter side of the spectrum and is fairly bold, a nice blend for flat white coffees. As for food orders, we have very much enjoyed take away orders from here recently as well. On these occasions, the truffle scrambled egg with Parma ham in croissant has been nothing short of outstanding. The croissant is flaky, the Parma just salty enough and the truffle eggs delicious. These have been no less enjoyed than elegant breakfasts in our higher end hotel restaurants around the city.
Almost as good has been the smoked salmon & avocado egg mayo croissant. While less enjoyed to the truffle egg and Parma croissant, this was very good as well. Served with salad or thick curly sidewinder fries we have really liked the Kaffeine’s croissant sandwiches as of late.
Overall, amongst the many similar coffee shop and cafes on Jervois Street, Kaffeine is our top choices right now for food orders. They have done nothing short of an excellent job with our recent food orders and we look forward to having them again soon.
All round good coffee, tiramisu and friendly service.
Good place for coffee. Small seatings
Really nice coffee place. At first the food seemed too small, but it was just enough.
Nice place and good service
I came here Friday afternoon and was meeting a friend for a drink before dinner. The place got very busy by the time I left. The scones seemed really popular but did not get a chance to try their food. The coffee was good but cold brew coffee was out so I was slightly disappointed. The ambience and layout of the cafe is lovely and tucked away in a nice area of Sheung Wan where its not as loud/busy. I would come back again for sure.
Good place for light lunch
Nice place to chill on weekends. Food was good but portion wise was a bit small for us. The scone was ok but pricey, not recommend.
Decent coffee shop but the fact that they refused to accept HK$2 in 50 cent coins makes it a pathetic coffee shop. A decent brew and some avocado toast is not everything …
Kaffeine used to be one of my fave places.
Coffee is really good and the food is really good as well.
Went there today and was squeezed into a two person side table.
Couldn’t even put my bag down.
Asked to sit in a larger table, and said it was for four people. There was a partition in the middle and it was two tables side-by-side. Nonsense.
Now it was 11 am and no one was in the shop, and the waitresses could have easily just given that space– we were going to leave in 20 mins anyway, but didn’t see the point in asking.
Those two girls should really have some common sense in customer service.
Message to the owners of Kaffeine:
So now essentially, you have someone (me) who works around Sheung Wan and really preferred to go there over other coffee places (prob spends about HK$300-400 every time I go (at least because I buy cakes and scones as well))– now will prob not go there again.
It is a real shame, because I liked the food and coffee.
I hope the waitresses can fill up that empty table you didn’t want to give to us with phantom customers.
(BTW, went to coffee academics right across the street and those guys let us sit wherever we wanted. Their food isn’t as good as yours– but customer service is better.)
Nice coffee. Lovely open front and friendly staff.
