Love the food n cocktail
5 years ago, this place would be innovative and worth and the hours-long dinner queues. Now, it’s just a step over “okay”. Waiters are nice, food is not bad (though not drop dead wow either). Their spice mix is great but shame that it has to be added to everything to lift the blandness of the original dish. The environment is also quite nice. I liked the bike, but it is a bit over priced for what it is, and the no reservation policy is something that again, signified success 5 years ago maybe, but now is just a little short of snooty. Overall, I’ll go back but not in hurry to do so anytime soon.
Good Japanese grills and drinks. Typically crowded during dinner.
Tasty food. Some of the best service in Hong Kong.
Bit pricey, but great grilled meats
Amazing vibe, creative nose-to-tail chicken dishes – you can literally find every edible part of a chicken here (thyroid, archilles, tail, neck, rib etc for the more adventurous). Delicious side dishes as well – definitely try the Korean fried cauliflower, corn tempura and furikake rice cakes. They serve some delicious house brand same here as well. Overall fantastic service team, one of the best in the industry. A truly unforgettable casual dining experience!
Pricey, tiny portions. The Korean cauliflower is really good.
Great food and atmosphere! Only thing stopping me from coming here often is the longggggg wait for a table if you have a group of 4 or more and you don’t want bar seating.
We had the sweet corn tempura …. Oooo it’s the bomb… Lovely sake to wash it down…chicken and egg rice that have they crispy chicken skin to die for..
Come early to queue in order to get a seat! Amazing food (we had the chicken breast, chicken skin, meatballs, asparagus, KFC, fried chicken, sweet corn tempura) and drinks!
Too expensive! The quality is OK but the price is premium. The place has a good vibe but we paid on average +HKD600 per person and left still feeling hungry.
The food never disappoints at Yardbird. Definitely worth the wait.
Expensive Yakitori place. You pay for environment and location. But worth the try.
Great food, you must try the Korean fried cauliflower. No liqour license when I went, so it was byo. I expect that to change quickly though
My new favorite place to hangout when i’m in Hong Kong. Creative and savory
I particularly liked the Chicken and Egg rice, which had the tastiest chicken skin, and the meatball yakitori. They went well with the whiskey lemonade, which was pleasantly sour and strong at the same time. I hope they’ve added new items to the menu since my last visit. Definitely checking it out again when I return to HK this year.
Must try the house flavored Schochu!!
Amazing staff and ambiance! Worth waiting for a table. Don’t miss the meatballs, KFC, katsu sando, and oysters!
Nice cozy place to drink.
amazing ambience! food and drink
Always busy, Im not sure why. Decent but the concept is better than the food. Cocktails are on point.
Who knew chicken parts could taste so good. I’m still dreaming about their Chicken Liver Pâté on milk toasts fried in rendered chicken fat. Sake menu is top notch.
Good food. Long wait. No reservations. Great bar/restaurant staff.
Takitory and salad was so amazing. The bar-tender was very kind.
One of my favorite yakitori joints in HK. Service is excellent and great musics being played all the time.
Great spot for all things chicken on a stick. Food is interesting and exceptional and service good. If you can get in, get in.
the best. great food. great service. great atmosphere. great music. great staff. great drinks. what else is there?
Izakaya concept (albeit up-scale), yakitori (skewered chicken) focus. Interesting enough, and the chicken was good in the main – but for me the two stand out dishes were both fish, one of which a special of the day. A kitchen tasting is offered (ie. they’ll serve you up a number of dishes, of their choosing), but I’d suggest making your own mind up.
was once my fav dinner place. food’s great, lovely yakitori (don’t miss the chicken hearts) and cocktails (i love their watermelon jolly rancher); rice cakes very salty but addictive somehow. the menu stays the same for ages, so it’s kinda hard to be a regular forever.
service quality varies from staff to staff, so it all depends on your luck (of how other customers close to you behave). remember to tip if the service’s great – no service charge here.
industrial design interior, small tables. the noise can be unbearable sometimes (again, luck matters).
Fantastic, knowledgeable staff, great take on yakitori, fun environment.
One of the places that I keep going back to HONGKONG for. It’s amazing. Food, drinks and the awesome experience. It’s just awesomeness curated
The Achilles has the least appetizing name, but is just a juicy thigh W/ crispy skin
Nice food but long queues, seem to be more biased towards caucasians
Best food, Super friendly staff, what more could you ask for? Well no bookings is a pain and of you arrive after 7 it’s generally a 1 hour wait but totally worth it.
Pricey, but great food/ drinks
Who knew that you could do chicken so many ways. Could possibly be the busy place on the planet at times but worth the wait.
準確
Be prepared to wait at least 1h for the table. Just put your name in advance and go for a drink around.
Fantastic service when you get inside. Great setup, very very good food, extremely pricey tho (4usd for 1skewer of chicken!!! Comeon hongkong), and tip is extra… Count 500hkd per pax.
Fish tartare is awesome, chicken oyster, rib and une tight are yummy.
Fun, pumping restaurant and worthy of the hype. Went Saturday night and had an hour wait which isn’t too bad for Saturday nights. Able to order drinks and something to eat while waiting. Food was great as was service.
great food, great service millions of dishes to try!
Chill vibes! Great food!
Stunning chicken! Super cool too.
Decent Japanese restaurant. Their yakitori-skewers is actually good quality, but way over priced.
Accept credit card.
The only HK resto that has opened hip and stayed hip. It’s always been great, always been tasty, and long may it continue. They deserve their success and the key to their success is they’ve never taken it for granted. Not in the way they treat their food, their customers or their staff. That is not normal in HK.
Very good food and cocktails, staff are fantastic
One of the best places to hangout in town. Great food, great drinks, awesome atmosphere. No reservations but you can always wait around the bar with drinks and snacks. THE place to go when i have friend visit.
new place more spacious and same superb food
Good atmosphere for drinks and eat out. Price is not attractive considering it is yakitori that is sold at most other Japanese restaurant at cheaper price and same quality.
Totally lives up to its reputation. Get there right at 6pm and you will get a table but after that it fills up quickly. Outstanding service and a fun dining experience.
More spacious than their previous venue. Food and service is still great.
