One of the countless hidden culinary gems in HK, its roasted sucking pig and barbecued pork are must-try items. They are all succulent meat with the crispy layer. When you eat them with a spoon of rice, you can experience the extraordinary taste raising from the meat oil melt with the hot rice. Appealing and authentic lunch for Hong Kong locals. No wonder the long queue always appears during the lunch time.
等45分鐘換黎又乾又凍既飯
A stand-alone Cantonese BBQ specialty restaurant around the street corner in Sheung Wan. Very local, hardly any services, mediocre interior environment. Nevertheless, BBQ pork was quite good, very tender with some fat, well seasoned & roasted. Soy sauce chicken was quite good but a bit raw. Overall, price was fairly reasonable & affordable.
Went again to try the roast goose, which was at a premium to other roast meat but tasted very average!
Tried roasted goose with BBQ pork rice later, roasted goose was rough & not impressive at all. BBQ pork far better.
Went again & ordered 2 styles of roasted pork, it was just ok while not as good as before.

啲飯凍晒。砍料師傅太慢。或者裝飯個位應該見佢砍唔切換過碟熱飯。砍料師傅自己都應該見飯凍叫人換。本身啲食物唔差。可惜無留意細節。

Totally packed at lunch. People were willing to wait 30 minutes for takeaway. The food was good and had a big portion. Milk tea was excellent. But I didn’t try the roast pork belly as it was sold out and the hot item to try as everyone ordering it. Will come back. Service was almost non-existent as what few staff they had were focused on the takeaway orders.

very delicious
Best spot for roasted meat in town. Definitely come during lunch time while the turnover is high so all the roasted meats you’re getting a fresh. I had the cha siu and roasted pork rice. The cha siu was roasted to perfection; the amount of char on the outside and the amount of fat between the meat made for some of the tastiest cha siu I’ve ever had. The same deal with the roasted pork; the skin was fresh and crispy and meat was tender and had a great meat to fat ratio as well. The rice was not clumpy at all and complimented the meats so well. There will be a line for takeout and a small line for dining in; don’t be scared to go inside, just speak to one of the staff at the door and let them know how many people are dining in.

因為粥屋關門所以沒找，不過當地人排著隊打包，加上蔥油之類的東西一起吃，57刀combo bbq pork & Soy Sauce Chicken 配飲料就很好吃。
