Always a superb lunch. Get the buffet starter it’s worth every penny.
Nice place to meet friends
Probably the best Italian restaurant in town. I am like back to Italy when dining here. The ambient is relaxing and modern, food is sophisticatedly authentic Italian dishes. Waiters/waitresses are helping and attentive, and maintain right distance and enthusiasm but not intruding. Will definitely come back soon.

Great terrace on a sunny day for a after work chilled beer.
This restaurant is always a treat. Their deep fried artichokes are special. The host is always gracious. I should go more often

Went there last Friday with a couple of friends. One friend ordered the steak medium cooked, but it came well done and was quite tough. The sea bass was nice, as were the desserts. I didn’t think the service was that good. Our credit cards were held for a considerable amount of time, about 20 minutes and the staff had to be prompted to return them.
A bit over-rated to be honest, especially when considering the price.

Great place both indoors as well as on the terrace. Large windows and terrace make Gaia a perfect lunch venue, especially for long lunches and really comes to “Gaia” in the evening for dinner with ambiance, lighting and decor. Excellent service can be expected at all times. I’ve never experienced anything but attentive professional and friendly service from the Gaia staff, Chef and Owner Manager. Fantastic authentic cuisine of the highest order! Must try a thin crust pizza to share, whilst enjoying an aperitif and perusing the menu. Excellent wine selection from full bodied Brunello di Montalcino (and my favourite Rosso di Montalcino) to a crisp NZ Sauvignon Blanc. Cigars are welcome outdoors afternoons and evenings (after dinning hours) fans and a natural breeze ensures a breath of fresh HK air : ) The attention to detail is evident throughout. The bar area, private tables, a great private round table for a party of 8+ and a secluded long table make Gaia a perfect venue for all occasions. Downsides? This is not a cheap place, it is however value for money considering the offering and experience. Oh and the washrooms are down a hallway within the the building so be sure to get a key. Beware of the grapes soaked in grappa!
Used to be good. Last 2 times pasta has been seriously undercooked. We had to return today. When they brought the new pasta seems they had rinsed what we returned and cooked longer. Portion was smaller even the vegetables were raw. Also the waitress was just plain rude rushing us to pick up the plates between dishes. Not going back
Went there for Christmas lunch. Food was decent but some staff (not all) didn’t seem very happy or welcoming for such a holiday. Was handed the bill quite soon after our meal. No “thank you for coming” , “Merry Christmas” or anything.
I actually feel guilty giving this rating as I’ve been here a number of times over the years.
I came for lunch on a beautiful sunny day and sat outside. The food was really good as always but what let them down badly was their timing. We waited almost an hour for our starter to be served and then the main course was also slow. I ended up getting up and pouring the wine as the waiter hardly ever checked up on what was happening on our table. If we’d had meetings after lunch this would have been a disaster. No one apologised for the length of time it took.
I’m going to put this down as a one off as they must have been short staffed today. It won’t put me off coming back as the food was very good.
It’s unusual in Hong Kong to find a restaurant that remains good for as long as Gaia has. Truly evergreen. Also one of the best places for eating outdoors, with a taste of trattoria culture, still set away from traffic, next to the millennium plaza fountain.

Not a cheap place but very bad service. Waitress with attitude. I asked for a seat or something to put my bag on, she replied no. Finally, reluctantly pulled the chair from the next table and said if a guest appears she has to take it back! Food is ok but unless I really have to, don’t think I want to come back.

Average experience, 2 pasta dishes ordered were disappointing , but 4 cheese pizza was good. Dessert was alright, was bit underwhelmed by the portion size.

Excellent service and delicious food in a cozy environment. Gaia has been in HK for many years and it has been able to maintain top quality in the food products it serves, the execution of the dishes, a fantastic wine list and above all, kind and excellent service. Try the tuna tartar, beef carpaccio, mixed seafood fritti, the PIZZA!! and of course any of the dishes on the menu. The outdoor seating makes is a delight! My family and I will most certainly return.

“We need this table”!?
A very uncomfortable experience tonight. A real downer on what was a great afternoon and evening.
As a regular customer, we would have hoped to get a little more respect than what was extended to us tonight. When the manager, standing beside us, instructed our waiter, clearly within earshot, that “we need to clear this table” it made us all feel both unwelcomed and uncomfortable.
We would have been fine if requested to move to another table, and there were many available.
Food was great, service staff as always was totally on top of their game. Thank you gentlemen for taking great care of us.
This is a service business and tonight was no example of how to handle repeat customers. Lots of other options in Hong Kong. Bye for now Gaia. 👋😕

Food is good but service is just horrible. Flat sparkling water , wanted a new bottle, had to almost prove it to them. When I asked the manager it he just said he doesnt know and will change suppliers… Shrugs it off haha.. fine… Dirty cup.. shrugs it off haha.. fine..
Anyways.. u can risk the bad service on a busy weekday lunch but definitely not worth it to ruin a weekend

Great food and seevice
Try the Italian egg starter, don’t think egg mayonnaise, think egg burst surprise. The zucchini and Anchovy pizza is wonderful.
