Look no further if you are looking for a quality Japanese A5 beef. The only problem here is unfriendly Japanese manager who has zero customer services mindset whilst local staff is well-trained, polite and friendly.

I agree with Tim’s review. There were so many waiters but not one could fill up my water glass. Then they added on a service charge! For doing what?!? Staring at me. They were very high quality cuts of beef, but the slices were way too thin. I still felt hungry afterwords.

Great cuts & great tastes. The big board shows the available beef cuts you can choose from. Staff are knowledgeable and able to provide good recommendations.
Best cuts of beef I have ever tried. Highly recommended to go for the Omakase set first. The servers will give directions on how best to cook the meat and which sauce if any to pair it with. Order a 2nd round of those meats that you prefer. Place however is very pricy but worth the price for good meat.
They had excellent ventilation so it’s not smelly at all. The setting was very comfortable and classy as a yakiniku place but that had been priced in. The meat was good but that came with a high price. They had some “hidden dishes” which was only available upon asking and might even need to reserve when book… honestly I don’t get this kind of sales strategy…
They had a compulsory “appetizer” which was beef sushi… I am very particular about sushi so it’s all WTH to me… I would whether they served beef tartar or cappacio.
It’s a personal preference but for yakiniku I actually prefer places with more vibes and better value for money.

Perfect meat melts in your mouth and very nice seasoning
The meat is great. I tried two thin cut types and tossed them on the grill for a few seconds. The raw meat was presented to me slightly over salted, but still delicious. Avocado salad is simple and tasty.
I want to give more stars, but I had two issues:
1) Price is hefty. Two small, thin slices of meat were around 150. One person isn’t getting out of this restaurant for under 500 hkd (I didn’t order alcohol and drank water and my bill was close to 600 hkd; still hungry when I left).
2) Staff was really nice; however, the restaurant was quiet during my visit and they watched me eat. If several servers are going to stare at me while I eat, the least they could do is make sure my tap water glass is full. Had to ask three times for more water.

An apt name for the restaurant. The non-meat dishes are also fantastic
Awesome taste.. Quality. And portions. To be full will come Up to 180-250 USD per person with some nice sake. But quality and service is quite awesome. But definately limited seating and needs reservations as all good places in hkg.

Sitting at the counter might get you better service but only works if you’re a party of no more than two. Never order the omakase, the portion is so small, even a 5 yr old child would be hungry. Otherwise, I have no complaints
Quality of the food is good but the prices border on outrageous.
Plus, being charged a corkage fee because they were out of wine didn’t sit well to be honest.
All in all a bit disappointed.
This is probably the highlight of my most recent trip to Hong Kong. This restaurant here serves up one of the best Japanese yakiniku that I’ve experienced to date, from the service to the quality of the meat. Although pricey, it’s worth every penny. Each platter comes with about 4 slices, for a relatively high price, but they teach you how to cook it well, and they even do it for you if needed, all very professionally! From the moment I sat down, the towels came, the menu came, the sake setup was also gorgeous when we ordered one bottle; I simply had a real good time between my partner and myself because of how well we were taken care of. We ended up paying about 1.7k hkd between the 2 of us, including one huge bottle of sake that’s 500+, and I kid you not when I say we ate like royalty (with a tub of cold noodles at the end).
One thing though, make sure you make a reservation early – they’re really popular.

Was personally quite blown away by the service and food quality of this place. Although the price is on the high side, it’s well worth the celebratory meal for any occasion. From the time we entered the restaurant, we were handled a table quickly, followed by a warm towel, the menu, drinks, food, and numerous good service rendered like the Japanese! Super impressed! Although we didn’t go for the most expensive beef platter, we did try one of their special, alongside the mixed beef platter, and both were simply amazingly gorgeous. Loved this place and will definitely be back again!

Still easily one of my favorite yakiniku restaurant in town. Recommend to book ahead because it’s nearly impossible to walk in. Should check if they have mitsuji steak in stock.
