Enthusiastic staff, irreverent vibe and very good (if limited variety) cuts of Wagyu. Try their proprietary spicy sauce with the beef. Hokkaido ice cream cones are a nice finish.

I like the attentive service and upbeat ambience. A very instagramable restaurant. However, I am disappointed with a few things :
1. Only 3 beef cut choices available on the set menu. I would rather have a set allows me to taste at least 5 different cut.
2. No photo on menu. a menu with photos / description enable customers to visualize the food and make decision by themselves.
3. A few cocktails on the menu were not available by the time we arrived.
4.I booked the only time slot available on that day which is 9:30pm and we arrived the restaurant at 9:25pm…) and being told that the kitchen would close at 9:30pm. I am not sure if the kitchen ALWAYS close at 9:30pm or just the date we visited (which I highly doubt it). If it is the former case, I strongly believe that this is not the service standard anyone looking for, given the client is asked to pay 500hkd + per person upfront and expected to be served well with RESPECT but was not pushed to place our order after 1-2 minutes be seated.

The staff service is ok, but the whole dinner flow is rush, I know 1.5 hr for dining when I book the table as many restaurants do, but I just feel not comfortable within this 1.5 hr, and this is not presenting you are selling a quality beef.
The beef is pre-cut/chopped and keep frozen, you can see the color not very red & fresh. So, I need to heat more time of the beef to keep the beef is heated. You know……
No bad, but will not come back for this price.
We were really looking forward after reading the reviews. Plus, it’s a big treat to dine out these days.
The beef was good (not excellent) but still good. The wagyu beef stir fried rice was good. But what stood out and left a lasting impression from the whole evening was the service.
1. 6 pm reservation, guests were seated at 6.15 pm. The first dish was served at 6.45 pm and the second dish at 7.15 pm.
Yes the service was excruciatingly slow. Maybe they’re understaffed…. but when they ask you to vacate your table explaining that they have “extended” your dining time, it doesn’t feel right when the inattentive service was the cause of the delay.
2. We were still finishing our drinks when we were asked a second time to vacate (no guest were waiting and half the restaurant was empty). We raised the timing issue to the staff.
And also raised that:
– dishes were not cleared between courses and piled up like a dim sum shop
– took 15 mins to serve our bottle of sake
– further drink orders were mixed up
They served us shots of limoncello as a make up.
3. We asked after our dessert and the manager told us we had opted for limoncello shots instead of dessert. What???!!! We weren’t given a choice, and that was offered to make up for the poor service.
They then went through the excruciatingly condescending explanation that omakase depends on the chef (what…. cheapskate?).
Overall it was not a good experience.
We really wanted it to be a good experience. C’mon Yakiniku Mafia… you can do this! Please get better. This is not service expected from your franchise.

好味,有水準的日本和牛
I ordered a combo set with my friend which comes with the ozaki waygu platter(with fatty, medium and lean cut), Japanese rice, two appetiser(marinated cucumber and reddish) and a beef bone soup.
I must say the portion of the rice was rather small, and we had to ordered one more rice to go with the waygu.
The appetiser was rather salty as well, it was probably the most disappointing dish out of the set.
The beef bone soup tho was surprisingly good, it has a strong flavour of the beef bone🥰which me and my friends loved it!
On top of the set, I also ordered a ‘waygumafia sansho lager’, it was brewed from their own brewery located in wakayama of Japan. I personally loved the floral fragrance of the beer!💞
For dessert, we ordered their soft Hokkaido milk ice cream. HIGHLY recommended everyone trying it!!!! You will know what I mean when you try it 😉
Overall, I was very satisfied with their service as well, it was a great place to have a catch up with friends, as no staff will eagerly wants you to finish the meal and return the table!

They serve high quality beef. The staff are nice and friendly, with detailed explanations on how to do your own barbecue. Ice cream is rich in Hokkaido mile flavour. Worth to visit!
Tiny portions, overpriced, decent beef but nothing special, incredibly limited menu, nice but untrained service. The only good thing was the Keema Curry Rice, everything else is meh. Yakiniku Great is a lot better.

Food was bland and unseasoned and required you to use their broken salt and pepper devices to season each piece yourself. The side dishes that come with the dish are pitiful and a complete ripoff. $35 for a small coke with a large amount of ice and you don’t get the can. The grills don’t cook evenly and the A/C seemed non-existent and made the dining experience uncomfortably hot. There are 4-5 servers that hover around but completely useless. My dinner guest lost her appetite halfway. Honestly, save your money and go to Yakiniku Great just down the road.

Wonderful wagu beef. Couldn’t be better.
上環一家日式燒肉店,來頭不小,是主打和牛料理的日本和牛黑手黨(Wagyumafia)。出名難訂位,通常要等一個月,非常誇張。餐廳的裝潢玩味十足,以機場做主題,門口有幅模仿航班顯示牌的打卡牆。午市及晚市的餐單一樣,每人必須柯打$480/位的和牛拼盤,才可另外散叫。侍應先以招牌的姿勢拿出和牛拼盤出來,給客人拍照。跟日本總店一樣,供應的是來自宮崎縣的尾崎牛。和牛拼盤分別有三種不同的牛肉部位,霜降、中等及赤身,共150克,全是A5級數。「不論是最瘦、中間或最肥的部位,其實全部都是來自牛的上肩膊,在不同的部位切出來。」套餐的配套做得好,除了有醃青瓜和大根碎之外,還有和牛肉骨湯和白飯。招牌的Big Eye燒烤醬有心思,由日本醬汁、蘿蔔蓉及日本蛋黃調成。
不過最推介大家加點的,是這裡的和牛咖喱飯,乾身的和牛肉碎咖喱上放了日本生卵,與日本米撈勻來吃,是簡單直接好吃的味道,呢碟矜貴嘅碟頭飯份量唔算大,兩個人分一碟就啱啱好。最後當然要吃甜點,北海道鹽味牛乳軟雪糕,又咸又甜,亦值得加錢吃,雖然有點貴但絕對認真製作,吃前才新鮮即製,保證creamy衛生。雪糕筒用上日本和菓子脆筒,比一般西式曲奇脆筒來的輕盈,是吃完燒肉的最佳消暑甜品。
整體上說套餐的和牛有質素,只是沒有太大驚喜,可能我個人覺得尾崎牛不及近江牛或松阪牛好味。不能去日本吃和牛,惟有在香港貴貴地一試,當自己飛過去日本一樣。
好食,性格比高,環境舒服,服務好,值得推介

I have bookmarked this yakiniku place for a long time, finally came to try this out for my hub’s bday.
Ordered two omakase set, $980 pp
Omakase set features 6 rare cuts and specialty cuts, also includes goma dressing salad, hiyashi somen (cold noodle), wagyu garlic rice and soft icecream.
I think the food was not bad in general, service was great.
I especially love the wagyu garlic rice and hiyashi somen, (totally a carb person) I finished them all, the meat was a bit too greasy for me though. The hiyashi somen came at last after all this heavy greasy meal, so refreshing, love this citrus flavour.
I personally don’t think the rare cuts seem quite rare though 😂 the meat wasn’t really too special to me, I’ve had some better ones.
but we enjoyed the egg yolk dipping sauce a lot, it totally elevated the flavours of the beef.
I was so looking forward to the icecream, it was so silky milky and sweet, but the cone was just meh.. 😅
Overall, I think it seems not really worth for this price tag, I think it is more like a $688-788 set, it would be more reasonable than $980. There are certainly some other better choices with this price. I personally would prefer yakiniku great or 298 Nikuya.
But I do enjoy the lively atmosphere there, the staffs are all very friendly with attentive service, and is fun to see they do that signature pose when they serve you the beef. And is great that you can customise the flip board with the birthday message for your love ones.
My hub enjoyed this meal a lot though, is for his birthday anyways, I’m glad that he loves it.

Food was fresh and an interesting experience.
Visited twice, one with regular menu and one with their omakase; both reservations were messed up by the team and reschedule/ other changes were needed. There was one particularly passionate team member we love but he has left soon after our second visit.
The quality is quite fluctuated, the first time the food was so good we literally made the second booking on site and the second time was frankly disappointing… I still think it’s worth a try in general but I do not see myself revisiting in the near future.
Looks ok but very simply dishes and sauce bit sweet… the price is too high compared with quality. I think try one time enough experience here🥲 …

個set就比較少野食,不過都多飽既,牛既質素就應該冇Wagyumafia咁正,肉味又未至於好濃。
不過餐廳既氣氛又真係幾好既,特別係佢地上肉之前會係你面前嗌一下再擺埋post比你影相📸️
如果好似我咁未食得起Wagyumafia,不妨考慮試吓呢間先既🤔
BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS PLACE. They take a deposit, in my case $960 plus a $96 service charge. We had to rearrange due to covid restrictions, which obviously wasn’t a problem, but having done this a couple of times I booked for a mid-week slot. The restaurant then changed their operating hours so again called me to reschedule, by this time no longer able to go as out of town so I asked for a refund since this was due to their change and nothing to do with covid. After 5 calls they told me they wouldn’t refund the deposit.
I’m always happy to pay deposits for expensive restaurants because of the risk they take of us not showing up and all the costs of ingredients etc. In this case they knew I wasn’t coming and was not able to honour a booking I made because they took the choice to change operating hours to only open on weekends (not covid restrictions). I haven’t cost them anything as they knew in advance, and to make matters worse the deposit includes a service charge! Completely farcical management and makes me wonder why they need the money so much.
I’d rather lose the $1,056 then go and spend more money with this restaurant.
Great services and quality food with a unique experience when food is served.

Omakase menu for a birthday celebration. Decor is casual, as is the atmosphere. Friendly and easy going. Quality of meat was excellent, and certainly gave enough condiments and sauces. Rice and noodles were good, as was the vegetables. Overall very fun dining experience. A bit pricey, and service may seem a bit much, but that’s part of the fun. Good experience.
Best Yakiniku in HK. Hands down. Peter who took care of us went way beyond to make us as comfortable as possible and the beef is to die for. Don’t forget the milk ice cream. 10/10
全程要用英文溝通,套餐的牛肉味道沒有驚喜,後加牛肉比較有牛肉味。服務有熱誠,熱鬧,但未貼心。
Delicious wagyu, especially the thick fatty cuts. They teach you how to cook it, and the dip/sauce slaps.
Reserved and deposit $500 pp, it is steep. Ordered the set.
This place is curious, very spacious.
I think it is a bit pricey for the worth, especially the G&T was mostly ice (just look at the pic!)
