The food is the star of the show and it really was stunning food. The beef bourguignon was the best I have ever had.

Excellent French bistro. Wine recommendation spot on. Order the chicken (I know, chicken at a bistro seems a stretch but trust me).
4 stars because we had the oysters and my date had a bad one that made her sick.

One might think we can find the best french food in Paris, but actually it’s right here at Bouillon.
The chef has an amazing tasting palate and the seasoning is always on point. Innovative, audacious, and precise.

Best staff in the universe
Service was good, food was great. We enjoyed almost everything we ordered. The bone marrow was one of the best we’ve had, escargot and beef tartare were yummy. Too stuffed to try their desserts but hope to be back again!

Bouillon is a great Parisian bistro in HK.
This means expensive, but well-executed and tasty food.
Suggest trying for example the vol-au-vent, the bone marrow on toast and riz au lait. Can’t really go wrong to be honest.
Service is ok.

This is one of my fav restaurant in HK. However, I was truly offended by their service today. We came for 6pm dinner and we felt really rushed to finish our food and wine. At 5 minutes to 8pm, the employee came up to us very aggressively, saying that we should leave immediately as people are waiting outside. I would understand if they had given us a heads up, reminding us politely that we had to leave by 8pm. We didnt receive any heads up and when we asked if we could just finish our dessert, the employee was very aggressive saying this is not negotiable and we need to get out. Our dinner was ruined by this attitude – not sure why we deserve to receive such service when we are paying for a considerable amount… we felt attacked and left the restaurant dumbfounded. Will not return.
Wow how rude and offensive. We left at 8:03pm. We were suddenly attacked by the staff asking us to “get out”. We were being offensive to the staff? By asking if we could just finish our dessert? Look, we took up 2 spots – did we say you cant let the people waiting outside to come in? If you really want guests to stick to that strict timeline why dont you communicate that better beforehand

Had an amazing night with my friends here, the food was great especially the starters. We have enjoyed this little cosy restaurant with a bottle of wine recommended by the staff.
My new favourite restaurant in the world. Loved the food was extreme yummy, the price was so reasonable, the staff so cool and professional. They went out of the way to fit us in even through they were fully booked and gave us an extra complimentary treat. Definitely highly recommend.

Bouillon has been our favorite spot among my French friends ever since they opened. Lost count how many times we have visited and how many celebrations we have shared here – every time positively surprised by the amazing food and great service. Last night was no exception for my birthday celebration. Thank you so much for always offering us a good time and we will see you again soon!

Well made and high-quality food. We loved everything. Especially the escargot, dover sole, veal and risotto de coquillettes. The staff are very lovely and good recommending suitable wines with the different dishes.

The lamb was not fresh so it was disappointing. The manager asked to prepare a new one for us which was better but the service was also very slow, overall not a great experience compared to 1 month ago when we came flr the first time.

the food and wine was excellent, and that’s why we came; however, we were the first party of three and there were two more parties of the same size that evening that arrived later; we were steered toward a table comfortable enough for only two but allowing a cramped arrangement for three; our request to be seated at the bigger table was declined; thanks to our command of French we could convince another staff to sit us at the bigger table; if we had not persevered another party of three would have had the table for 4 – I would expect a first come, first serve approach and more flexibility

Egg Mayo
Perfect evening in Bouillon. As Hker born in France, it was a sweet moment to share french food with my fiancee. Sorry for not sharing any pics, I can’t find them back. But we ordered onion soup, mayo eggs as starters and octopus with gratin dauphinois (a must!) and long green beans. It was also the perfect opportunity to make her try the french dessert “ile flottante”, cloudy texture melting in mouth.

Very positive first experience, will definitely return more frequently. Mains could be served a bit hotter though given we were the first table before it got busy.

The food was delicious, service was awful. The side dishes came to the table 15 mins after the mains were finished AND plates were taken away. Imagine a pot of mashed potatoes being delivered to your empty table…no plates or cutlery….didn’t even get the beans to the table and had to cancel the espresso as we didn’t want to wait any longer.
Having said that, the menu and wine selection was great; as was the ambience at the restaurant. Will give it another try, as think it may have been a one-off issue.

Booked for 8pm, arrived at 7:50pm and the French manager at the door rudely told me to come back later without offering an explanation. Usually restaurants will say the table is being set up etc., but no, he just told me to go away. Then my friend (who’s french) arrived and the manager suddenly changed his attitude and welcomed us in.
Anyways, the food was fairly average, nothing mind blowing. Flavor was lacking a bit and I’ve definitely had better beef tartare elsewhere in Hong Kong.
Not the cheapest meal especially given the service and food.

Escargot à La Bourguignonne
Came here for our 24th anniversary and what a good choice we made. First for appetiser we choose Bone marrow and the Pate, for the main we order the eggplant ravioli and rack of lamb. Let me remind you that all the food portion is quite generous and good to share with 4 people. Say for the bone marrow typically the other shop uses tea spoon for scooping the bone marrow, but this shop uses table spoon to serve , and we had plenty of “spoon full” of bone marrow to share. The pate is complex and smooth. The ravioli is spectacular with the butternut purée and the sauce. In short all the food is excellent at high quality. What I would like to say more about is the service. This is a small bistro with handful of manpower, I see the shop owner and server works their buds off to serve all the tables. The truth is they care a lot about their food quality and they serve with their heart and passion. We were so touched with enjoy the vibes of this shop. Thanks to Thomas, Kenneth and your team giving me and my wife a memorable night. We will come back very soon.
