If I had to rate our meal on service and service alone, this would be a straightforward 5. Our server (the Indonesian lady that’s also called Bella?) was super friendly and attentive.
The food was sadly a 3. Granted, we only had a starter and two mains — bland beef tartare, while the lamb could’ve walked off the dish because it was ‘baa-ing’, AKA, rare inside. Rather unfortunate, given both looked incredibly appetizing!
To end on a positive note, Nissa La Bella has an excellent wine list, and the interior is as alluring inside as it looks when you stroll by the restaurant. Happy to give it another go.

Service was really great. Wine recommendation was decent too. But the food was very average.
Elegant and comfortable decor with friendly and attentive service. Price not too high and with decently sized portions.
Antipasti platter was quite nice, and the complimentary panfried crispy chickpea pancake was a nice to have.
The highlight of the meal was probably the grilled octopus, which was perfectly grilled and had a great buttery zingy sauce with capers and lemon zest in it. Pastas were also delicious but the steak was just alright.

They serve the best mussels anf steak tartare in Hong Kong and perhaps in all of Asia! Rafael is also an amazing owner who wants to make sure we always have a good time. It feels like a second home! Highly recommend this place!

My second dinner to Nissa La Bella and I was as thrilled as the 1st time! Super friendly staff, lovely atmosphere. Food is delicious and authentic (lead by a French team and a French chef). Portions are generous too. One of my favorite restaurants in HK.

Dining city offered a tasting special, ok! Restaurant is big, spacious & friendly. Manager Raphael attended, a decent burgundy white was offered to pair the lunch, decent wine! Manager brought a special pork meat over veggie, tasty👍 Ravioli has to be high point, fresh dough wrapped cheese and herb give you a deghtful surprise, great balance with herb finish! Rest of dishes were great, Med cuisine serve in a French restaurant, unexpected ! Raphael kept checking with us, threw in a few free drinks really help, nevertheless, food was good👍
I’ve come here several times for different occasions. And every time I’ve come here, it’s been always a heart warming welcome as if I was a part of the family.
Food is great, staff is fantastic and it’s always a great time. My husband and I have always enjoyed the hospitality here and will continue on coming here. It’s certainly a Sheungwan staple.

Amazing food, great service , worth the try
Hats On, Hats Off (to the chef). What a way to spend a 30th🎂. Great wine, Garlic snails followed by a tasty beef stew. 🍾

Came here for a friends birthday and really loved the atmosphere. Right in the centre of the city. Great music and vibes. Would highly recommend the salmon gravlax, a fantastic pairing with Cape Mentelle Sauv/Semillon wine or even Minuty Rose. We will be back !
From a British dinner who surprisingly knows what good food taste like. Nissa La Bella comes highly recommend and did not disappoint. The beef stew in particular was fantastic. Excellent food and service with a smile.

Amazing french restaurant. Oysters was spectacular, a phenomenal beef tartar and a beef stew that will leave you stupefied. The staff was so amiable, and they had a wide range of amazing champagne.

If you want to go to the french Riviera for summer and beach , Nice is great. If you want to go to the french Riviera for food and wine go to Nissa La Bella. My belly is full , my glass is empty (but not for long cause the service is also 👌🏼).

Walked in on a whim with my partner, and couldn’t be happier that we did! From the 2hr cheese-flow (that’s right; a must for the 🧀 lover complimented w/meats and small sides) to the main dish – the beef stew. Just wow. Maybe one of the best flavour profiles we’ve tried? The gnocchi was spot-on as well. Took advantage of their excellent wine menu (recommend a sweet port for the cheeses), and the service staff plus Rafael made us feel right at home. We’ll back…thank you for a lovely afternoon ~

Homemade Foie Gras Terrine Nougat Glacé Terrine De Foie Gras Healthy Salad
Food is not quite good. My cod fish as entree is bitter and small in comparatively high price. Salmon for appetiser is extremely small portion. Worst is dessert: tiramisu costing almost 100 for a small cup tastes like a cheap local pastry like maxim’s, while the other $100 ice-cream definitely is like kid’s made. No wine or soft drink costed me 1300 for 2.

The food was great and we love the interior design. However the staffs need more training – we were chatting after the meal but the restaurant was empty. The staff came over to ask ‘do you need anything else?’. I said ‘no thanks’, she then immediately took away our glasses of water, a sign of asking us to leave. If the restaurant is busy we won’t occupy the seats but it’s empty. It’s public holiday and we are in the relaxing mode. And we sat close to the windows facing the street, it looks better with people inside than a totally empty space. People spend money to buy happiness, just make them happy if it doesn’t hurt you- this is what I learnt from running my own restaurant.
Booked via restaurant week for dinner, $248 pp. The environment is nice and quiet. A few tables are foreigners. Starters are quite good with soup, octopus salad and snails. Butter garlic snails are surprisingly good with intense garlicky flavours. Dipping the toast into the butter are fantastic. Mains are fairly ok. Parpadelle pasta with boar ragu is the best of all we ordered. The pasta is handmade and chewy while the ragu is flavourful. Seared seabass is quite flavourless and extra salt is needed. Spinach ricotta ravioli is rather disappointing, as the pasta is mushy and the filling is not cheesy. Pairing with a sweet pumpkin is also making it taste weird. Desserts are so-so. Brioche with orange flavoured cream is a bit dry but the orange flavour is quite intense. Cream puff with vanilla ice cream is ok. French cheese are the best of all😂

I am very impressed by the service team at this restaurant, they are helpful and knowledgeable. They know the menu well and the dishes’ features and uniqueness. They can gauge how much we need and tell us to not order more. The Shop Manager Alisha is particularly nice and friendly enough but not overly chatty. She is appropriate and professional.
The food is good and, portion is right and too bad the mussels are sold out. Ambience is awesome and great for reunion when you need a good chilling space to feel comfortable and cosy.

We had a really fantastic brunch here, was our first time trying out the restaurant but wow – it certainly won’t be our last. Absolutely amazing food, good service and atmosphere as well. The restaurant was busy, but never too loud or cramped.
The entire set brunch menu was delicious, nicely balanced and not too much nor too little food. Honestly all the appetisers were good, but a very special mention goes to the tartare de gambas sharing starter, it’s honestly one of the best tartares I’ve ever had. So flavourful, great textures and incredibly delicious.
For mains the Daube Niçoise beef stew was another highlight, intensely flavoured with beautifully tender meat. The pannacotta was also refreshing and not at all a set meal dessert afterthought. All in all a really great first impression, and we will be back!

“Delicious Authentic French Food”
right in Sheung Wan
We went to Nissa La Bella nearly two weeks ago. A French / Canadian couple recommended the restaurant for its authenticity and they booked a table for us. We arrived quite early. The restaurant was empty at the beginning, but filled up quickly. This is always a good sign for a good restaurant.
While our French friends had their favorite dishes at hand, I asked “Alisha” for some recommendations. Everything Alisha recommended was VERY DELICIOUS. We had the following …

-Rigatoni Pesto Pistache
-Mussel with fries
-Beefhanger with fries
-Seabass a la Plancha
-Profiterole
-Tarte au chocolat
-Tarte Tropezienne
We couldn’t decide for a bottle of red or white and so we settled for a bottle of Wispering Angel (Rosé) from the Provence. This was an excellent choice as well.
So, now to the three big questions…
Do we recommend the restaurant? YES! Are they flexible with some special wishes? YES! Do we want to come back? YES!
