Amazing food with amazing service and amazing ambiance…………………the BIGGEST surprise is the absolute amazing approach to being eco-friendly. I was delighted and amazed!!! The container for take away left overs is NOT ‘POLYSTYRENE WHITE DEATH’ – Chachawan care about the health of their clients and packs the left overs in a lovely eco-friendly paper like box – 100% eco-friendly.
NO menus – lovely eco-friendly laminate and plastic free place mats with the menu.Staff is friendly – no attitude. AND GUESS WHAT?????? – NO SERVICE CHARGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You actually want to leave a tip as the staff is trained and friendly! The best of all is the amazing selection of food. Amazing Larb and the whole salt encrusted grilled sea bass is so fresh and succulent and tender and incredible flavours…. this is a winner restaurant!!!
My favorite Thai I’ve had in Hong Kong so far.
The flavors are vibrant and delicious, and the northeastern Thai fare they serve is a welcome change from the more run of the mill Thai restaurants you usually encounter.
Authentic Thai food. Enjoyed every single one of their dishes. Recommend the pork collar. On the spicy side, so be sure to order some cold drinks to wash it down.
Pretty amazing food though slightly overpriced. That being said, that keeps the line from being too long. I was able to get a table here relatively quickly, though the spaces are small (typical of Hong Kong). Very much enjoyed the authentic and spicy Thai food, and the menu really avoided the typical popularized dishes. I was still happy to see mango sticky rice on the menu and to try the various cocktails offered.
HK never lacks of authentic Thai food. But Cha cha wan is one of very few Thai restaurants in Hong Kong that handles fusion very well. Converted from an old building with great atmosphere combines western and eastern elements, it is a nice place to chill on weekends. Recommend sticky rice with Gai Yung.
Just amazing Northern Thai food. Never left disappointed

The place looks fancy but they do serve very good and proper thai food! i love this place. However they don’t make reservation and you have to queue. It generally takes 1 hour to wait, you can go to the sister restaurant next door called “208” to get a drink and spend your time.
Best Thai Isan food in Hong Kong – by a mile.

Legit Thai Restaurant, excellent food, loud and cramped but great atmosphere.
Delicious Thai food … Never had a dish that wasn’t exciting and tasty. Great cocktails if that’s your thing … There’s beer and wine if it isn’t. Very popular so it can get crowded. Some people might find it a little expensive. This is not fine dinning but it is spicy and delicious.
Look nowhere else, best Thai food in Hong Kong!
Isarn (Eastern Thai) food. The Som Tum, Larb Moo (minced pork), Moo Tort (deep fried sliced pork) and Pla Phao (salt crusted sea bass) were all excellent. Minced pork and sea bass amongst the better I have had.

Get your fix on delicious Thai street food here, it’s a cosy spot so might have a wait a little. At least there’s good cocktails to quench your thirst
Seriously I don’t know why people love it so much. Dishes are different from what you find in a regular Thai restaurant. But still the taste is alright, nothing special / surprising.
Service is terrible. I’ve been twice and EVERYTIME waiters try to kick us out asap for next round.
From the outside it kind of always looked like some sort of dive bar due to its – on purpose-quaint and shoddy decoration. Which was sort of offensive considering that you are lying so much for their food! The food however was delicious, tasty and consistently good. Nevertheless their beer- bottled beer- costed up to 70HKD..
We went at dinner time and it was VERY crowded. But if you don’t mind the loud chatter, and if you love spicy food then this is a great place. But not if you’re on a budget.

Go the the back and sit at the bar on front of the kitchen. It’s a great experience as watch the detail and care put into these dishes. Nice presentation and great service.

I accidentally discovered this place on a work trip to Hong Kong few years ago. It’s now the highlight of my trips. It’s really tasty and the food has a very unique flavor. The dinner desert of coconut ice cream has corn and peanuts in it, tastes I’d never think to combine but go together really well!
Like nothing I’ve ever come across before, this thai food is prepared in perfect combinations of medium portioned plates to make for a uniquely clean, distinct, filling and unique thai food experience; with wonderful service that will help you and a lovely local charm, not to be missed. Get there early to beat the line
One of my favorite HK restaurants. Vibe is fantastic and the food is even better. Really spicy so if you can’t handle heat ask them to tone it down

半酒吧半餐廳既格局，帶點香港舊式裝修，從門面睇一d都唔似泰國菜若非家姐食過覺得味道唔錯，一定搵唔到呢間餐廳(我跟住openrice既地圖都搵左15分鐘!)離上環地鐵站頗遠，chachawan晚餐時間都近乎坐滿。外國客人偏多，餐牌都係英文cocktail好多選擇，但最後我同家姐都點了啤酒前菜pla mauk yung–魷魚沙律，辣辣地，有淡淡莞茜，魚露，青檸和其他香料味，魷魚燒過，本身帶點咸，配埋撈好既醬汁，幾開胃主菜 pla phao glua…

so crowded but the food was mediocre, not impressive (don’t care if it’s authentic) at all; and a dish we ordered was SO SALTY that we had to cancel it. didn’t feel the service. HKD400 per head.
