Great and innovative Thai food
A lovely bar scene downstairs, a quiet restaurant upstairs. Amazing drinks, wonderful food from the grill. Most of the food here is spicy, so speak up if you can’t take heat. The restaurant upstairs is very tiny and cramped; as a party of four, we could barely find the table space to fit everything. This place is not for very large (8+) parties.
Great food but made 6 of us sit at 2 tables when there were free tables.
One of my lunch favorites. Great Thai street food turned into cool relaxed fare. Always worth a visit. Friendly staff. Tight sitting.
issan food! love the authentic spicy level! only sad thing is that this place doesn’t take reservations so really have to be early.
Some of the tastiest Thai food I have tried and it is not the same old curry and pad Thai… Main focus is on salads and grilled meats. The cocktails are also worth trying. Atmosphere is casual and gets busy.
Tasty and friendly northeast thai restaurant.
No pad Thai on the menu, which is a good thing. A lot of innovative dishes with vibrant flavors. Good service, reasonable prices. Delicious food, several veggie options. Small, crowded, but that adds to the vibe.
泰國餐廳很好但有點貴可愛的服務員!!!!
So good. Spicy! Great for gluten free
Really good Thai inspired food. The seating downstairs is stools, and can be uncomfortable for long dinners though. The salt crusted fish is absolutely divine, and everything on the menu was really well made
Excellent Thai food! Went for lunch and couldn’t have asked for much better for the price.
Thai crispy chicken was amazing! Awesome atmosphere.
Great food, great drinks, great staff, great service. Will definitely go here next time I am in Hong Kong. We actually ate here twice. I recommend sit at the bar next to the chefs.
As I work in Central, I have visited this place for a few times. Friendly staff and good food.
The best restaurant in Hong Kong without a doubt.
Great food. A bit pricey but an experience worth it
Trendy restaurant serving incredible northern Thai food.
食物實際上非常好而且充足,只是明顯缺乏溝通。
You some was too sweet and GaibYung was too oily.
Outstanding Thai food in Hong Kong with Thai chefs. Great crab fried rice and salt crusted sea bass. They wagyu beef salad is also amazing with real charred bits of tender beef in a tangy salad.
They have a small bar that serves nice drinks as well. Seating for dining is quite limited so reservations is recommended.
店裡的氛圍真的很好。但是味道一般般。
泰國菜就是您在泰國吃的東西。
Delightful food – spicy and flavor-filled, and sitting at the bar is like getting a show for free. Go to this restaurant if you like authentic, delicious food cooked by people who know and enjoy what they are doing.
Also, get there early since lines form every night!
Just awesome food, second time I am here and it will not be the last. Starters to desserts, just delicious
Amazing Isaan Thai food with flavors…love Larp Moo & Khao Pad. Great experience!
Amazing Thai food and cocktails. Great atmosphere without the music being overbearing. Recommend the pomelo salad and the mango sticky rice for dessert.
The bake fish is really delicious. Also the minced pork with salad. They have some really interesting cocktails. I liked it but half the group didn’t. Portions are suited for two, or three small eaters. It’s an expensive place to go tho. Expect to spend abt HKD800 for a two person dinner.
Very hip restaurant and bar with an updated, upscale Thai food menu. Prices are reasonable and the environment is also laid back and nice. Highly recommended for a night out after work. The environment is casual, perfect for coming with friends from out of town.
Food, interior and especially the vibe is great. The staff is considerate and friendly which all in all justifies the upscale prices. Will come again
Pricier Thai food for Hong Kong standards. Great sauce for the roast pork and well executed fried rice. Attracts the the international elite who works nearby, lots of English speaking folk.
Incredible food. Worth every penny. Also, great staff.
Best Thai food in HK hands down. Fresh ingredients, made to order, filled with a wide range of flavor. The lunch deal is a steal, no reservations and tight seating but the food is worth it.
The best Thai in HK. Recommend to sit at the counter. Might feel squeezed but good to see chefs cook.
One of the best Thai food places ever. Amazing steamed sea bass!
A giant piece of racist garbage, white pretentious high society restaurant. Shame on the server who made my mum wait for half an hour. And still trying to make us wait for an additional 15min for no reason at all. No reservation means they could pick who to serve. The restaurant is on a Chinese coffin street and to see this once renowned restaurant fading in prominence because of this small minded ness is sarcasm at its best.
Hip atmosphere, good food and service. Missing some of the Thai classics but the pork skewers were delicious!
Best Thai food I ever had!
價位稍微高一點點,但因為外國人很多,所以份量都不少,好吃,推薦可以來試試看哦!
Good but pricey
自己去食,叫左個海鮮蟹肉炒飯,味道好好,但價錢稍貴,多人去比較好,因為種類選擇多啲,價錢又平啲!
Small restaurant. Good Food. Nice People.
we have religiously visited chachawan at least once every year since it opened, and i’m really glad that the standard has been consistent.
The best Thai food I’ve eaten. The salads and meats are amazing. They don’t take reservations but I had no trouble getting a seat straight away after 9pm on Friday.
Great dinner! We had the fried rice with crab, the chicken thighs (amazing sauce) and the prawns. I liked the prawns a lot, but I saw the pork skewers at the other table, and I’d probably switch the prawns out for the pork next time.

Chachawan is a must-visit if you’re a fan of Isaan or Thai food.
For 2 people – Try the Som Dtum (papaya salad) and Larb Moo (minced pork with lettuce) to start, the Pla Phao Glua (salt-crusted whole seabass) as your main course, and a mango sticky pudding rice to finish. A Singha beer wouldn’t go amiss.
It would’ve been a 5* for me if they did reservations. Our wait was half an hour but it was truly worth it.
Very cozy place with delicious Thai food. If you are a sea food lover, this place is a must. I try to be a vegetarian when I can and I was able to get one of the dishes on the menu made without any meat or sea food – simply delightful! They ask you up front how spicy you want the food to be. Service was pretty good even though it was quite crowded – we were there around 1 on a Sunday afternoon. Prices are what you would expect – for two of us around HKD550, including a drink each. Highly recommended!
The food here is amazing. We loved the crispy 24-hour marinated chicken and the grilled pork! The place is really cool and the staff are super friendly and relaxed, the service is amazing. Definitely going back next time we’re in HK!
Very good food and drink. Lovely music. Sea bass, fried rice with crab meat are must try!
Visited after receiving a few recommendations but I wasn’t impressed. The quality of the meat wasn’t up to scratch (chicken and prawns a little chewy), the cocktails were bland and when we asked the staff for their recommendations, they didn’t guide us on what to go for or how even the amount of dishes to get.
