Fantastic food. Great service the coconut dumpling dessert is a must!
Simple and authentic Thai food in the heart of Hong Kong. Expect small but super tasty dishes no matter what you select. Also, try their lemonade with a dash of suryp, it’s a winner. Highly recommended.
Good food and service. Portion a bit small but delicious. I recommend the sea bream
Completely awesome staff. Try to get a seat at the kitchen counter if you can. It’s amazing watching the chefs in action, and you can learn a lot about how a kitchen functions, food prep, and cooking methods and presentation. Tasty food, and no service charge.
The food was delicious. The deco and atmosphere are pretty cool. But the space is quite small.
Great spot for dates or meet ups with friends. Good Thai also
Limited menu, but good quality. Seems a teeny bit overpriced but maybe I’m just stingy.
Walk a long way to find this Thai restaurant, not as tasty as expected, pricy , the bar is good
味道很好,但好似很趕………
Amazing Thai food. I highly recommend getting several dishes to share with your group. The prawn dish is a winner! The cocktails are also creative.
If you don’t have reservations, expect a wait during dinner time, especially on Fridays and Saturdays.
Some of the best food I’ve had in a long time. Hip and modern restaurant, that has still kept its soul and great food for a decent price. While a bit pricey, it’s absolutely worth it.
Fantastic thai food in HK. Great drink options and really cool whole fish dish they serve. Also very reasonable prices
Good food, but environment is too dark
This is a Thai restaurant that’s located close to the hotel that I stayed at during my previous visit. It caught my eye before because it was always so crowded, but I didn’t know that this was Chachawan. I can’t believe that I was staying so close to this restaurant without even realizing it. I’d heard about this place from my male colleagues at Retty. They don’t take any reservations, so you just have to go and wait in line. I thought the food overall was really good. At Samsen, their dishes are really salty, but everything here is light in flavor, which I personally prefer. When I eat at Samsen, everything is so delicious, that I can’t stop eating, but afterwards, I need to drink so much water because of all the salt that I’ve ingested. I think that the dishes at Chachawan are much healthier for you. The prices are quite reasonable (although not cheap), but it’s a great spot to have dinner with friends, or with a date!
Good Thai food but just make sure you ask for less spice if you’re not into hot food as everything comes with a fair kick (it does say this on the menu too!). Popular so you may have to book.
Best thai in HK! Tried Seabass, clams, pork sallad. Delicious!
Great food!! Thailand style service
You can’t go wrong with this place. It has great food and nice atmosphere with the rustic design. You must try famous a fish dishes. On the weekends we definitely need to pick up table because this place is very packed and the most important thing is, price is really good for what you get.
Great Thai restaurant in Sai Ying Pun. The lunch menu is a bit short on items and a little pricy, but the quality of the food was outstanding. The old favourites, plus a few dishes with a nice, new twist. Well worth the trip to Cha Cha Wan!
Food looked and tasted great. Price were a bit too high. Good for celebrities or special occasions.
Refreshing and delicious meal! Good deal on their lunch set. Excellent and speedy service. Would com back!
Dropped in here recently on a busy Saturday night without a booking. Staff were awesome and extremely accommodating.
Food is great and features Thai dishes from the Isan region, so some can be a little spicey.
The bar at the front is also worth it for a drink whilst you wait.
Try it out.
Must order the papaya salad, gai yung and moo ping. Pad Thai was also amazing. Sit at the bar if you can and watch the chefs work their magic.
好吃但太貴了
看到礦泉水是60,我很驚訝。
Best Thai food I have had in HONG KONG. Super busy on a Wed night. The papaya salad with shrimp was so delicious and with different layers of flavours. The Mango sticky rice was good. The table next to us was having the coconut ice cream dessert, looks so nice, but we were already so full. Next time definitely will try it!
喜歡大排檔氣氛熱鬧,食物不錯
Had a great time at a team outing. Not cheap, but well worth the price and the trip there 🙂 First time experiencing this specific type of Thai food, spicy lemony well flavoured sauces and plenty of salads and grills.
Great food, ake sure you order the sea bass grilled it was yummy( has bones)
Cocktails we’re okok.
Good service loved it
Fantastic thai restaurant. Casual cool places.. little bit dark in there. Nevertheless food is all superb.
Loved the food. Very enjoyable and highly recommended.
Food was OK but nothing special. Service nice if occasionally annoying. $65US for lunch for two? Even in Hong Kong, I’m going to call that highway robbery.
味道地道
Great food, well priced and friendly efficient service
Really enjoy the food here which isn’t your traditional Thai fare. More a nice mix of salads and grilled meats. The beef salad and pomelo salad were delicious. Also the dessert is really good, particularly the rice balls.
The food was good, but I’m almost positive this is the place that gave me food poisoning. Also, it’s fairly pricey.
Arrived at 7pm on Sat and no need to queue. Very good quality food, service and vibe. Will be back again.
Along with its sister restaurant Mak Mak high quality and excellent flavors.
Impressed with the food here. Very yummy.
它很好吃,但就食物的質量而言價格過高。你去幾次
Daaaaaaamn. If you like Issan Thai (ie very spicy with a balance of strong flavours with salt and sweet) then this is the go-to place in Hong Kong. It’s the best Thai I’ve had outside of Sydney and Thailand. Seriously, it’s excellent.
(If you can’t do spicy, be warned – even their entry level spicy is pretty hot)
Pork Collar, Duck salad and crab fried rice were all stellar. Can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu.
Great lunch deal already planning my return
A decent and good place to try thai food.
Great food and nice mango with sticky rice !!👍🏼👍🏼 …
Tasty food!! Great skewers and fried rice. Would come back to try more. Definitely on the expensive side but great ambience and service. 🙂
Loved the food. Truly authentic flavors. Very enjoyable and highly recommended. Very cozy place and quite dark lighting.
Really good food. Thai food but not the usual Thai food you would get everywhere else. They call it North Thai food with more spice. I like it. All in all despite the style it provides food with great flavors. Portion a bit small though.
Food is nice as if you were in Thailand, but quite expensive. Also the music is a bit loud, not very easy to chat with friends.
Excellent meal and drinks over a conversation. Great decor and ambience. There are at least 4 larb salads and an excellent 24-hour marinated chicken. A good selection of cocktails, mocktails and beer.
The food is authentic with a nice twist on some dishes. Nice atmosphere and decent prices. Highly recommend.
Best Thai food in Hong Kong. Lovely staff as well
