懷舊Cafe Oldish

一直都知道，上環有很多有趣的餐廳，但礙於交通問題，甚少去這區找食。

今日，剛巧有要事，經過上環，當然要找一間餐廳品嘗。

最後，選了一間位於上環東街的西餐廳。店名叫Oldish。由上環站走去，大約需時10分鐘。

餐廳門面，已經有種懷舊的感覺，餐廳內部裝修感覺更甚，因為每一個角落都有一些復古擺設，懷久有趣，以且環境亦相當整潔。

食物，有套餐亦有小食。我一行兩人，就選了一份All day breakfast，一份冬蔭公意粉，以及一份薯條。

薯條，68元/份，份量很大，薯條以粗身為主，薯味很重，即叫即炸的薯條，出品絶不會太差。

All day breakfast，158元，有香滑的炒蛋，腸，不會太乾身的煙肉，牛角包，香脆的薯餅，煙三文魚，及菇，十分豐富，味道亦不錯。

冬蔭公意大利粉，168元，入口偏辣，冬蔭公味明顯，意大利粉口感偏淋，味道開胃，我個人很喜歡。

總括以言，可以在一個舊英式的環境下，品嚐晚餐，感覺悠閒，推薦大家來試試。

amazing food, recommend truffle fries and the chicken mushroom spaghetti!!

Great quality for money. Atmosphere was eclectic and entertaining (wanted to look at everything). Food was actually outstanding, I think it was the portion size and balance of food on the plate. Only thing on my plate I didn’t enjoy was the soggy/oily corn. Price wasn’t painful to the billfold at all. It is a shame the current situation makes sitting around partitions feel very cramped in there. Order the chicken!

Oldish is an all day breakfast restaurant with a trendy retro interior. Their highly recommended signature All Day Breakfast.充滿着濃厚復古英倫風格 就好似行入左古董coffee shop咁~

Food was a bit oily, but tasted good. Nice environment.

It’s hidden among the small streets near the hillside in Sheung Wan hence it does take a little walk to get there. The ambiance resembles a British pub. The food were delicious and came in large portions. However, the food was a bit pricey. Around 160-180HKD for lunch.

對於芝士怪嘅我，個4 Cheese Burger不得了，塊fried cheese 可以獨立做個snack嗎？

朋友點的Garden Pasta亦很不錯。

還有waitress妹妹好有禮貌呢。

一定會常前，前題係先餓2日儲足quota!

Usually all the exciting brunches happen during the weekend but here they serve brunches during the weekday until 5pm including a drink.

There is a choice of full breakfast or eggs benedict and they let you choose a good variety of teas so I chose my Earl Grey but then they told me you can also order the apple tea as well without any extra charge so I had that instead.

Started with the apple tea which came with apple slices floating on top.

The taste was surprisingly natrual and not cloyingly sweet with a good balance of apple to tea.

It also came with beetroot soup which I didn’t see on menu so that was a bonus.

There was a nice nutty taste to it because there were bits of almond in it.

Then my lovely eggs benedict arrived which came with a huge pile of salad.

Perfect on a hot summers day.

The salad dressing was really appetizing so I ate the salad first before starting on the benedict.

It was a bit strange they used a raisin muffin but the parma ham made up for it because there was so much parma ham and the egg was poached just right with a runny yolk complemented nicely by the creamy avocado.

這個英式早餐好豐富，最欣賞就是個薯餅，非常香脆，煙三文魚好用心地捲了一朵花，牛角包無特別，烘得暖暖的。

Creamy chicken mushroom spaghetti$148
芝士濃郁，雞肉份量都幾多。味道還可以。

French fries $78 (truffle)
粗切炸薯條，松露的份量不算多，炸得很香脆。

Was so disappointed at the dining experience here. Food was average and overpriced. We had a seafood spaghetti and an all day breakfast. The former one was overpriced ($168) and the quality was not on par with the price. The seafood wasn’t fresh enough and the spaghetti was bland. I had to put extra pepper to give the spaghetti more favour. The all-day breakfast was alright. We also had a tiramisu, which was rated as one of the best tiramisu in HK. The texture of the tiramisu caught me by surprise. However, the espresso was over extracted and it came out too bitter. It was a total letdown for me as I had really high expectation for this cafe.

P.s. Inside Oldish there’s an open kitchen. During our lunch, we caught the chef not wearing the mask properly while cooking…not exactly appetising, wasn’t it?

除咗環境 食物方面都有驚喜！Four cheese burger 中間一大塊Parmesan frico好吸睛 香脆又充滿芝士咸香🧀 burger 同時用上多款唔同芝士 另外一樣特別之處係用烘得鬆軟的提子包 同半溶化嘅芝士加厚厚的牛肉出奇地夾 🍔

泰式冬陰功意粉有幾隻蝦同帶子粒 略嫌可以再辣啲🌶 份量都比想像中cafe food多 夠哂飽肚😋

去oldish就一定要食佢嘅招牌冬甩外型 tiramisu 🍩 凍冰冰好似雪糕咁 上甜品時店員會再淋上一小杯 espresso☕️ 一冷一熱 一甜一澀 口感層次豐富🤎

咖啡無得揀豆 試咗flat white同Americano正正常常 不過跟set加$30就有 都幾大杯抵飲 啱哂chill chill 地係呢間復古cafe hea下🦦

推介原因：
Oldish 初初開業的時候有來過，印象中食物味道不錯。相隔多年再訪，水準依舊好。今次同朋友來，選了2款主食以及一款小食。
Thai Tom Yum Seafood Spaghetti 夠特別，在其他地方很少見到。汁有點酸酸辣辣，好醒胃。配料夠多，有魷魚圈🦑、蜆、青口、蝦🦐、帶子。2隻蝦又大又爽口。
Wild Mushroom Risotto 加了芝士🧀和truffle。一上桌，香氣撲鼻。Risotto 軟硬度適中，好creamy。
Truffle French Fries 🍟即叫即炸，金黃色的，外脆內軟。黑松露醬好香，忍不住一條接一條的吃，吃了超過半碟😋。
Flat White 超大杯。大得我說錯了：「碗Flat White 好大」😂 點食物後，只需加$30，抵飲👍🏻
除了食物，Oldish 另一個吸引我的地方就是裝修、掛畫和擺設。好懷舊，好有特式，有點美國🇺🇸風。再加上店內播的英文懷舊金曲，如 I Will Always Love You，就感到回到70年代般。真的如店名一樣，是Oldish！很想帶喜歡聽懷舊英文歌的爸爸來一次。

The food is okay, but very basic and the portions are not very big (apart from the burger).
There are several places in the area that will have the English breakfast for a much better price and taste. This place is way overpriced and it smells like damp, if you’re sitting on the top floor.

Nice food and atmosphere from Oldish. Came here for lunch on weekend and it’s not full, easily get a table when arrive.
Tried couple of their set lunch and both are great.
Their All Day Breakfast just usual food, but it’s in good quality.
Like their interior decorating, although the things seem rough.
Just don’t go to theur first floor, as there are strange smell, which impact to your dinner experience

Was recommended by many people and it did not disappoint. They had a mix of Thai/British menu items but only tried the western food today:
4 cheese burger – Delicious and well cooked patty and the bun had dried raisins which was surprisingly a good addition. Would be nice if there was a hint of raw onion to cut the heavy amount of cheese. Fries were simply amazing (wish there were more), but the salad was standard.

English breakfast – Quality of the food was great and each item was cooked well. Decent portion of meat but would be nice to have a thick toast instead of the croissant and a bit more baked beans/portobello mushroom.

Tiramisu – Not your traditional tiramisu as this is shaped like a donut and the texture was more like firm ice cream. The espresso was not bitter and offered a nice chocolate nutty flavour to the dessert.

It’s a standard cafe, nothing much to rave or complain about. Tiramisu was unique, spicy pasta was underwhelming and similar to cha Caan teng food, but the price was reflective of or even higher than western restaurants. Everything else like the salad and eggs benedict was standard.

Food was average at its price, and quite a big up-charge to price an English breakfast at $150+ when it’s mostly just processed meats and bits of produce and funghi.

The environment was satisfactory, seating is spacious but the place smells a bit damp and the open kitchen made the place a bit smoky and very noisy.

Service was appalling, at this price range you would be expecting decent service and attentive waiters, but the place was just so noisy and the waiters turn a blind eye at you most of the time, so expected to shout to get their attention.

Speaking of the noise, it mostly comes from poor management of frontline staff, which are full of MK (Mongkok, an acronym in Cantonese for young and bratty people) staff that spoke very loudly amongst themselves with a lot of vulgarity and foul language.

To end, the cappuccino tasted worse than that of Starbucks. Not recommended unless other restaurants are closed.

我走上上環的斜路，差唔多上到頂就見到右邊有塊紅磚牆，就是這間英式懷舊小屋餐廳。店內好似走咗入人哋屋企嘅飯廳，一張長方形木枱配不同造型嘅木椅，旁邊放咗幾張2人小木枱木椅，2面牆上掛滿晒我估係店主嘅收藏品(?)，我覺得好舒適。

．提拉米蘇以甜甜圈造型，非常打卡able
．甜甜圈核心係冰凍意大利軟芝士和浸滿咖啡酒嘅手指餅，上面鋪滿朱古力可可粉，入口即食到像冰凍幼滑的咖啡雪糕
．另外配有一小杯熱嘅特濃咖啡 (espresso)，淋上甜甜圈後食，一熱一凍，冰火交融嘅感覺，好正！
．慢慢哋細心品嘗，冰凍意大利軟芝士會溶化，變得軟身奶滑，配合偏酸和苦的香濃咖啡，就會一啖食到晒甜、酸、苦味啦～

The interior of the restaurant got a vintage feel, pretty atmospheric. I tried the black truffle egg Benedict, the poached egg is running, together with black truffle sauce, smoke salmon and crispy toast, it is rather tasty.

The oldish tiramisu is very interesting, it got a unique donut shape! It is made with ice cream and layer cakes, with aid of coffee, it is creamy and not too sweet.

The flat white is not as good as latte but the coffee is gentle.

The apple tea is nice and light. I had a good lunch here.

generally, overall feeling is not superising me. especially there is a bad smell around the inside of the restaurant.
