One of the things Hong Kong is known for when it comes to food is their tart, whenever I search for food trip in Hong Kong, there’s always this egg tart on the list or video so I made sure I try one when I see it.
This store called Pie & Tart which is so ironical since they don’t sell egg tart specifically but since I’ve been craving for one, ordered the Milk and Cheese tart and it was delicious.
I wonder why they don’t have the egg type, maybe because it’s too common that they they want to separate themselves but all in all they tarts I’ve tried from their store are really good and definitely worth a try for any tourist.
Conclusion:
When you walk around Tsim Sha Tsui, give this store a look and get one of the tarts, it won’t disappoint, and hopefully, next time around they’d start serving egg tarts.

Pie & Tart! Experience the best tarts in HK! Lots of salty pies (orchid, chicken, pork, tuna etc) and lots of delicious dessert tarts. Milk tart is so delicious! Not for everyday as you might end up getting a bit roundy.

These milk tarts and other deserts are the best thing if you are looking for a proper sweet desert (not traditional Chinese style). Seriously the most delicious mini tarts I’ve ever had for desert. The savoury ones are good too but not as outstanding as the deserts.

Bbq pork bun (pie pastry) was amazing. An insane amount of pork filling that is seasoned just enough (typical bbq pork buns are overly salty and seasoned).

Pleased to report that the tarts are still as yummy and affordable as when I first tried them 3 years ago! Besides the original milk tart I would also recommend the choc milk tart and purple sweet potato tart

Amazing pies here, original milk is standard and good but my favorite is purple potato. I hear their savory pies are good too I’m staying away from this place while I’m dieting, too hard to resist

Beautiful baked goods right around the corner from our hotel. Dare I say it, the milk tart is better than a Tai Cheong egg tart.

So delicious, a must try if you’re in the neighborhood. These ladies put in long hours to bake everything on-site (something rare in HK), and everything from savory to sweet is sooooo good. Thank you, ladies!

Wow, this place did not disappoint. The baked goods were so yummy that we went twice. The prices are very reasonable. We especially enjoyed the apple tart and the cheesecake. Go early on Sundays because they run out of stock later in the evening.
Pie & Tart Specialist is a provider of budget-friendly Hong Kong style pies. They have branches scattered around the city including this branch at the corner of Chatham and Granville Roads in TST E/Hung Hum. Opening hours are around 8am to 11pm daily.
Here you can buy take-away sweet and savoury pies. Crust is usually thick and flaky, filling of fair quality. They also offer pasties, milk tarts, breads and a small range of drinks. Food taste and quality is ok, nothing to get excited about but not bad considered the low prices.
Prices are quite low compared to eating at restaurants as well, making this an interesting and appealing option for those seeking lower cost, light meals on the go during their visits to Hong Kong.
got the milk tart and chicken pie for $22 HKD! It was very fresh and hot, but super hard to eat on the go. The crust kept crumbling everywhere

Really delicious food. Great for grabbing breakfast on the go. They have a wide variety of sweet and savoury tarts at reasonable prices.
As well as savoury, they have sweet treats.
Saw these nice looking green tea rolls at Pie & Tart Specialists and they were really cheap too for $5.5.
Got two of them because they do not give you a box if you only get one.

Green tea and red bean roll:
The appearance of these rolls for $5.5 were quite good, it had cream on top, garnished with lantern berry leaves, red beans, chocolate and a cube of green tea pudding.
The green tea taste was strong and there was lots of cream.
Inside the roll, there was a long piece of green tea pudding/jelly.
If there was less cream and it was not so sweet it would have been perfect.

Freshly baked goodies with alright price.
Chicken pie – crispy for the cover, chewy in between, juicy and creamy in the inside. The flavour melt within your mouth as you take the bite. Enjoyed every bit of it.
Mushroom ball – the pastry itself it’s the kind of thousand layer bread, puff and all-rightly good while the mushroom filling really boost up the whole experience. As good as it looks!
Chicken bun – I used to only like the Japanese pan going with a flavour like this, but this place shows me how we can have it the Chinese way. The slightly greasy flavour is further enhanced with the kind of fat they used. Very well balanced
