This Koh Thai (there are quite a few around HK) is located just down the road from the Wanchai MTR.
Good food, good service with a large outside area that’s great to dine when the weather is good.
Doesn’t hurt to make a booking as it can get busy.
Good Thai food. Nice menu, big selection. Well executed dishes. Nice setting, terrace seating available. Service ok. Bit on the pricey side.
The Thai kra pow gai sub is one of the best I’ve had. Place is clean with a nice outdoor terrace. They take American Express . Great place

Gorgeous atmosphere, great happy hour til 7 and delicious food.
Food is great, good atmosphere and decor too. Very cosy outdoor space sheltered with tent. Staff are mostly nice and attentive.
I have been many times and brought my dog too, just on one side of the outdoor terrace area, however, recently was refused. Sad.
Else it deserves a 5 star.
Disappointed.
Before, another Thai restaurant called Koh Thai was located here and that one was really good.
Ruam however decided to substantially increase the number of tables on the same floorspace, so it feels really cramped. Then they brought the items on the menu back to a handful, so there is very limited choice which could work for other kitchens but not for the Thai kitchen. And, the quality of the dishes is rather poor.
Another thing, they only have 2 desserts: mango rice and banana with icecream. We ordered the last one and then we got a plate with only banana served. They said they ran out of icecream and that we would get 50% discount on this dessert. This was really unprofessional.
All in all, this was the first and last time visiting Ruam. I will need to look for another Thai place.

Delicious & authentic Thai food! My favourite are Yum Som O, Kang Ped Ped Yang, Moo ping, Kai ping and you cannot miss the Mango Sticky rice for the dessert.
Also, love the atmosphere of the restaurant! perfect place for a family dinner or big group of people.

WOW. What a find! Amazing Thai food with wonderful, authentic flavour. Up there with the best Thai I’ve had in HK. Beautiful open outdoor terrace. Delicious cocktails. After five years dining out in Hong Kong I have found my place. Ruam is definitely my favourite restaurant in HK. Excellent Thai food, super friendly and caring staff, but what really makes it is the setting. An indoor/outdoor vibe that feels like a mini trip to a tropical resort. The type of place where you could settle back into a lounge chair for a serious session. Love.

Me and my friends had an awesome night here. The environment is so comfy, the food are fantastic, especially that curry lamb, and the staffs are nice, we were given some free shots and dessert. I notice that they do deliveries too. Definitely recommend this place.

Amazing lil gem in the heart of Hong Kong for the yummiest thai food and lovely atmosphere with an outdoor terrace. Service is always impeccable and the staff makes sure you are well taken care of. The manager Azza was especially thoughtful when we last visited and made sure we were enjoying our experience. Would definitely recommend this place for food and drinks. Make sure you catch their happy hour deal! 😉

I really enjoyed this restaurant. I was looking for somewhere outdoors for a casual bite and a drink but didn’t expect such a big terrace or to find such good food and cocktails. A well priced, delicious and friendly restaurant. Love the tropical vibes and cute staff uniforms. Team nice too.

I had a very nice meal here on what I found out was the restaurant’s second night of opening! The red duck curry here is something special. The skin of the duck is so crispy but the meat so tender. The best I’ve had in Thai curries. The manager recommended their signature cocktail which is beer based with ginger. It was great! The decor is very pretty and tropical and the option of sitting outside it nice to have in Hong Kong. I will be back!
The cocktails with finger food were so good that we stayed on for main course also. The Ink gin cocktail ‘Oh Nooooo’ was expertly prepared, smooth to the taste with wonderful fragrances. The fish cakes melted in the mouth and the noodles were divine. The terrace bar was the ideal setting for a romantic evening with low lighting and gas heating under a large awning with staff which were wonderfully attentive but not intrusive. It is the ideal place to escape the city and all its troubles for a few hours. We look forward to the next visit.

Tried Pad Thai and Chicken Skewers – both were delicious.
Cosy and chilled ambience. Good place for drinks and bad for food. Food (especially poultry) was fresh, but the rice noodles dish were such a disappointment. They were all sticky and soft, not really a pleasant experience.
Ruam is always a great time. The staff there are extremely hospitable and friendly. We had a birthday dinner there and everything was smooth – food was great, ambiance was amazing + we even were showered with some complimentary drinks!
I highly recommend this place for a romantic dinner, group hangout or just happy hour sessions!
This place is amazing. Delicious food I love the prawn curry with roti is the best. The service and hospitality is top notch. The staff was so attentive and entertaining. Staff Azza so friendly and helpful I had a great time here with my family. Would recommend this restaurant to all my fds. I will definitely be back soon!
Ordered a delivery via Deliveroo which was not received. Jeff Chui handled the difficulties of the missing order with friendliness and great flare turning a disappointing evening into a great experience. The food in the restaurant is amazing, they helpfully created dishes suitable for the vegan member of our party. After dinner we finished our drinks on the terrace seating area, definitely will be back and recommending to our friends.

We are super impressed with Jeff Chui. He was super accommodating helpful and went out of his way to be flexible and providing us with a dish that wasn’t on the menu. Not only was he Amazingly helpful and friendly but he also got the job done. Impressive customer service recovery skills all presented with warmth friendliness and flair. With Jeff Chui”s presence this place has high chances for success. We are truly impressed and thank you Jeff for the lovely glasses of extra happy wine thank you.
