We were lucky and was able to get a table without a prior reservation on a Friday night. We tried their feed me menu and we liked it. Very flavorful and filling. Nica was our server and she provided good service. We got this delicious berry vodka shot which was a nice surprise. Overall we had a great time and would recommend for folks who enjoy good Thai food.

Absolutely delicious authentic Thai cuisine coupled with a spacious, tropical and vibrant rooftop atmosphere. Sofa seating near the bar was very comfortable and the staff was both friendly and eager to accommodate. Special thanks to #JEFFCHUI for his great hospitality and impeccable service! The wide variety of dishes were all reasonably priced and the generous portions left us very satisfied. Steak, Tom Yung Soup and deep fried squid were beyond expectations! Overall well worth the experience. Needless to say i will be going back again to try other menu items. 😋

Went there for a casual dinner and was positively surprised. We had Chicken Satay, Red Curry with Fish and Pad Thai. Chicken satay and red curry deserved 5 stars however the pad thai was unfortunatly not as good as other thai place in HK. Drinks were really good and refreshing. Atmosphere is definitivaly a big YES and waitress/waitress are present but not overwelming. I will come back and try other dishes.

Going to Ruam will make you think that you are not in Hongkong anymore and are in a tropical paradise, even though you are in the middle of the city!
I love how the indoor and outdoor seating is seamlessly connected, and you feel you are in a lovely garden wherever you sit. The food is also excellent. I had the brunch set before, and the portion is more than enough. So this time, my friends and I ordered A la carte, and the amount of food and the taste were very satisfying.
Food never disappoints but service can be improved.
Great food & drinks, great atmosphere and top notch service.

It was a fabulous experience last night at Ruam. Staffs are super friendly, food was spectacular! And a big shout out to the operation manager Jeff Chui. We learnt from Jeff that Ruam recently opened in a new location in Causeway Bay, so things got a bit out of hands as they were a bit short of staff the night we visited. Jeff made our night just as smooth and we enjoyed our visit very much. This is a great spot to hang out with friends, a great gem in the heart of Wan Chai and Admiralty. Will definitely revisit and recommend to friends and family!

The service was good/okay. Nice outdoor restaurant settings. We ordered the lemongrass ice tea which tasted like water infused with lemongrass-not recommended, btw its about $42 for a glass of that. Though we did order sugar syrup, thought it’ll help, no chance/hopeless. The drink was ‘on the house’, which only makes sense since we had to wait for a single main dish ($352 – steam fish) for about 25 minutes, it was okayyy. Total was closed to $500, way too expensive for the whole service we received. Dont think its worth of returning anytime soon tbh.

Great ambiance with very accommodating servers.
I highly recommend the pomelo salad, crispy squid tentacles, lamb shank and masaman curry.
I didn’t like the pad kee mao and the Tom yum gha. I left the flavour was lacking. I didn’t smell the smoky flavour from the pad kee mao. Tom yum gha wasn’t good as the coconut milk didn’t taste fresh and the flavour was also lacking. Not sour or not spicy. No flavour too. It just tasted like a normal broth with coconut milk.
For the drinks, I didn’t like the watermelon slush. It was too watery. Not bland. The Thai milk tea also didn’t taste good.
If you are going with a child or anyone who can’t tolerate spicy food. I suggest informing the server.

Food and drinks both severely lacking flavour. Shame because the decor is nice.
Yummy food and friendly service. Requested an outdoor area and the staff tried their best to arrange a fabulous table for us. Thumbs up to the photography skills of the staffs too 🙂

Yummy Thai food! The vegetarian green curry could have had more variety and included tofu — such as broccoli, cauliflower or other more substantial vegetables than gourds. Great ambience and decent prices.
Nice Thai food place in Hong Kong. 60% similar compared with real Thai food in Thailand. We had beef salad, Tom Yum Kung Soup, grilled pork neck. Good vibes!

Hole in the wall Thai food in the heart of wanchai, excellent service. Loved the braised mullet in like sauce. The place is a bit old, so dress to sit on wooden chairs. Also bring a jacket!

Great food, great vibe and great service. It’s a nice outdoor dining area. All the dishes were delicious. They were not overly spicy and you can ask the restaurant to tune down the spice level if needed. Loved the crab omelette which is difficult to find in HK. However, I would be happier if they used river prawn instead of frozen prawns for their Tom yum soup. Do not miss out on the banana roti with coconut ice cream as well.

The environment was just so relaxed and well designed to feel cosy and Thai, although situated in the heart of Wan Chai. With a special request, was able to bring a dog to sit on the open planned patio, surrounded by cushioned seats. Food was great and very authentic, and can be chosen to be less spicy for those who don’t want the full heated Thai experience.

Very cozy place to eat and grab a drink highly recommended
An authentic Thai restaurant started from Wanchai is now opening more branches across Hong Kong Island. The Wanchai branch is spacious, tropical and vibrant – we liked it’s rooftop, alfresco setting and sofa seating. Jeff and his team of staff were super friendly to us and gave us great hospitality. Overall it was a good dining experience with Ruam. .

Atmosphere was good, food tastes good but me and my friends had diarrhea the next day.
The service was absolutely terrible. Some waiters pretend not to see us when we waved at them, and gave us attitude when we asked about the happy hour deal. At the end of the meal, the staff poured all the food on my friend’s lap and the floor.
Wouldn’t come back.
