The Grill at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong

This place is just so perfect for a sunday brunch alfresco ! You will be seated just next to the beautiful pool of Grand Hyatt Hotel, on the 34th floor. The hotel is located in the heart of busy Wan Chai, yet, once seated at your table under the parasol, you will not hear any sounds but the wispers of the customers conversations and the lapping of the water from the pool. Such an oasis.

The sunday brunch is mainly frequented by expatriate people.

The buffet is just big ! And everything is so fresh, from the loabsters to the fishs and meats and vegetables that will be grilled just in front of you. You should definitely go for the loabsters, the roasted pig and some of the dishes from the grill. Save some space because the desserts are quite good too. What is better than an ice-cream by the pool on a hot Hong-Kong day ?

My only concern is that it will be too hot during summer days to really enjoy sitting at an outdoor table. Give it a go before it is too hot and you cannot stand staying outside.

Like every good brunch in Hong-Kong, this one offer the free-flow champaign option. Go for it, that was sunday brunch are maid for … just chill, eat good food and drink champaign.

good place good environment but fare food

I was so terribly disappointed in the service we received at what is supposed to be one of the best hotels in HK. The staff were so reluctant to help (possibly because at least half did not understand English) when I first asked to move to a table with a fan (in 31 degrees). We were not hotel guests so we may have been the only people not using the pool! A fan is the only way to stave off the heat when you’re outdoors. Then the waiters kept getting our drink orders wrong and there was a whole frustrating back and forth where not one, not two but four different waiters were called before the issue could be sorted. The food was average and in no way made up for the terrible service. The saving grace was Augusto, the only waiter who seemed to care what we wanted and got the job done. Without him, this review would easily have only one star.

Friendly atmosphere and friendly service but unfortunately this time I went the food took
More than 40min to be served. Even we ordered coffee and desert after the meal, another 30min. For quick lunch but I was there for good 3 hrs.
It’s not the course meal so taking 3hrs waiting is little too much and it was not too many people to take such a long time to serve the food.

Staff was kind all though kitchen was slow.

Had BBQ dinner buffet last night. 2 of my family members very likely had food poisoning that they suffered from diarrhea and acute tummy pain since midnight until now. Considering admitting them to hospital

The Grill，是我最喜愛的西式燒烤餐廳之一。我喜歡它環境優美、有氣派，食物及飲品款式多，價錢合理，是商務聚會、三五知己聚會的理想選擇。
位置︰灣仔君悅酒店大泳池旁。
環境︰餐廳裝修不錯，華麗、優美、有氣派，空間寬敞，私人空間足夠，有足夠採光，亦享有全闊無敵泳池景觀。
訂座︰晚飯黃金時間，客人數目不少，一定要預早取位或訂位，免失預算。
服務︰員工服務親切、專業、有效率，用心講解食品及每款酒的特性。
食物︰各款燒烤食物都做得十分出色，是這裡的招牌菜，值得一試。
總結︰味道中上，價錢亦中上，性價比恰可，當然環境及泳池景觀是主要加分位。

The dinner BBQ buffet was of low quality in comparison to the hotel grade and pricing. Little variety and some dishes were bad. The only thing that was really good was the lamb. What’s worse was that the pool was under maintenance, so we were seated beside an empty and barricaded poor, which we were neither given notice about on the website when booking for the staycation package nor when reserving the buffet dinner.

The grill is fabulous – good choice of food , the meat and seafood particularly high quality . It’s not as busy as it once was . Last few times we have been – half empty . The service around the pool is a different story . Staff used to give out menus and did a brisk trade in food and drinks . Now there’s a qr code dangling from some chairs . Hardly anyone seems to order . The lunchtime pool closure and bands system doesn’t help either . Pool half empty but still folks getting thrown out while the pool is ‘ cleaned ‘ at lunchtime , potentially the busiest time for the pool and food orders . It’s a shame as Hyatt food really is lovely . Missed opportunity here !

An elegant pool-side buffet. Food varieties were fine, the actual grill was amazing. Wished there were more ice cream varieties but in general an impressive place for functions and gatherings.

Really not many. If you eat from the grill you’re going to get meat grease on it.
