平日午餐菜單是最划算的。大部分有新鮮食物和麵包。工作人員也很細心。 Match Latte出乎意料的好喝:能嚐到抹茶的苦澀和甜甜的回味,沒有壓倒性的奶味和甜甜的糖分。
香港最好的糕點店之一。他們的蛋撻是一定要嘗試的。座位有限,通常店外都會排起長隊。如果不介意的話可以叫外賣。

牛角飽真好食
食物很好但服務很差而且態度非常死板,這讓像我這樣的常客感到失望。當我們已經坐下時,他們不允許身體不便的顧客在店內吃他們的“僅午餐三明治”之一,還點了其他點菜菜單項目,更不用說點了很多糕點帶走。雖然他們的食物質量很好 (4/5),但他們的服務缺乏同情心且令人失望 (0/5)。

My first time to have brekkie here. I started with a plain croissant, fresh and crispy!
Followed by delicious Parmasen cheese Danish and apple Danish. It made my day!
I took an cheese pretzel and almond croissant to go for my afternoon tea.
Nice choice!

因為周六早上排的隊很長,所以我只買了酸蛋撻和熱拿鐵。拿鐵不錯,但蛋撻很令人失望,可能是因為我期待太多,也可能是蛋撻太冷了。我想我會再次回來用餐並嘗試另一種糕點。

Amazing pastries from the bake house
waited almost an hour during Saturday lunch
一個不用上班的星期五,早上9時45分左右到達門外經常出現人龍的bakehouse,不用等位便可以入座。
餐牌只得一頁,選擇不算很多,點了牛油果三文魚多士($158),賣相一流,細看之下牛油果有些啡點,要扣分呢。牛油果、三文魚和流心蛋都不及最底層的酸種麵包吸引。
除了brunch,還可以選擇各式麵包糕點,窩夫選了bakehouse最具人氣的牛角包($20)和蛋撻($12)。蛋撻看來比較似葡撻,撻底薄薄的烘得偏深色,蛋漿不會很甜,值得一讚。
飽滿的牛角包,咬下去脆脆的,而且充滿牛油香,能做到蜂巢切面的效果,可見質素之高。
飲品方面,窩夫點了Flat White ($32),水準不錯。

Being the most popular bake house in town, the Bakehouse operates at inconvenient hours for working class who does not work in Wan Chai to visit. Closing at 17:00 with last order at 16:30, you will have to visit on weekends, when there is always a long queue. Therefore, when I finished a meeting nearby in the afternoon, I decided to try out my luck to see if I could get a seat, and I was lucky enough to get a seat for one just slightly before last order time.
At the end, I didn’t order anything on the menu (as 30 minutes won’t be enough for me to enjoy the food without rushing to finish off), instead I got two pieces of pastries – Matcha Brioche (left) and Sourdough Egg Tart (right).
My colleague recommended the Matcha Brioche to me during a previous visit at Bakehouse take-away counter, and I could see why she recommended it! It’s so so good! The pastry itself was fantastic! The egg and butter gave it a rich and tender crumb. And the matcha filling inside was so satisfying! It’s not artificially sweet, but very, very smooth and rich in green tea flavor, delightful!
As for the Sourdough, it’s equally satisfying! The sourdough made a novel tart base. It wasn’t really sour like ordinary sourdough bread. It actually enhanced the taste of the sweet egg tart, lovely! The egg tart was more like Portuguese egg tart than local egg tart, which was a bit sweeter.
I’m so glad that I made this little trip to try my luck! It’s always great to have a proper seat to enjoy some delicious pastry items, instead of eating them on the go, or bringing them home (as they won’t taste as good).

The pastries at Bakehouse are hands down the best in Hong Kong. Go in the morning to get the freshly baked ones for the best flavour, but even after 3 hours they were amazing so you really can’t go wrong. 10/10 recommend!
餐湯,mushroom toast, chocolatr espresso tart 都好好味,不過長期排長龍,有心來試午餐嘅人要俾多一點耐性了。
The Swiss Bakery is one of the most popular one in Hong Kong and since the opening around 2 years ago, people are queuing up every day.
The Croissants and Quiche Lorraine are to die for and baked to perfection.
This kind of quality is hard to find these days…well done!!

強烈推薦他們的酸麵團蛋撻——太棒了!但開心果羊角麵包很令人失望……它不是“開心果奶油”,只是綠色糕點裡的奶油,絕對嘗不到開心果的味道。核桃酵母麵包很一般。
也就是說,我們會回來吃蛋撻!
我地叫左三款,分別係Plain Croissant、Sourdough Egg Tart、Pretzel Croissant Twist,再加兩杯Latte。
牛角包脆薄既酥皮,同時質感非常軟彈,濃厚牛油味,完全食唔到過分的油膩感,好食得過分,差d忍唔住想食多個。
Sourdough Egg Tart既custard都好滑好香,而呢款egg tart亦用咗酸種包,代替平時傳統既酥皮/牛油皮,質感好有咬口。
可能已擺放一段時間, 所以個皮有點兒硬!
Desipite its hype I didn’t find the coffee & sourdough especially good here. The store is located on a side street in Wanchai, with attractive industrial style design both inside & out. The sourdough I bought tasted OK but really no better than the other better known bakeries such as Passion or Erik Kayser. So to summarize it’s OK to drop in for a coffee & pastry if you happen to be in the vicinity but not worth bothering to make a journey for.
The sourdough egg tart was amazing though it could be warmed up a little bit more. Very refreshing cold brew and the hot chocolate feels really homemade too. The brunch food was alright. I dont recommend the doughnut though the dough was quite fluffy, the filling was a bit too sugary

Egg tart was freshly made and yummy.😋😋 Strawberry danish is not too sweet.👍 Coconut cheesecake is a bit filling. Very full.😌😌😌😌

Family recommended I visit for the sourdough egg tarts, so I ordered that as well as a danish. The bakery is very pleasant (and popular; it was doing a brisk business while surrounding shops were not) and has the right look and feel. Everything looked fresh and mouthwatering. However, the egg tart was nothing special. The flaky crust had a burnt taste because it was a bit burnt, and the size is somewhere between a mini egg tart and a regular sized one you would find at a Chinese bakery. For HKD 12 each, it was overpriced (by about 25-60%) and not worth the special trip to get them. They weren’t better than Lord Stowe’s (still my favorite) or even KFC’s Portuguese version. Probably in the same league as Tai Cheong or another really good Chinese bakery but at a higher price point and smaller size.

Even though their egg tarts and croissants are famous, I still like their sour dough the most. Try making grilled cheese with it at home, it’s just amazing. Crunchy on the outside and soft inside.. Definitely would come back and buy again.

非常鬆脆,蛋漿夠滑帶甜,口感有少少似硬咗嘅布丁。外皮用酸種去整,再塗上一層薄薄焦糖面層,令我食極都唔夠喉!(建議熱辣辣食)
💡第一次去到舖頭大約16:30,已告知蛋撻、牛角包通通售罄,失望而回。第二次一早10:30便到達麵包店,已經見到長長人龍(但要留心,餐廳分兩條隊,其中一條係餐廳用膳,另一條隊比人買外賣的)

Egg tart堅好好味!
外賣食品可以的,但堂食,認真不知所謂,由於坐位不多,要預備食物時間長,還主流是一家讓人閒聊長時間逗流的風格,試過多次,於門外排隊多達近1小時,仍未能入坐,但眼見每枱都已經是聊天的,沒有食物,沒有飲品(店內有清水提供)。算是有多超卓的技能,當失衡的時候,就應該是失敗了。服務帶點高傲,一點也不親切。最重要的是,這家是一個中高消費點,完全配不上

高超!羊角麵包超級好吃!我吃了一個蛋撻,也很好吃。對我來說,餡餅的外殼有點燒焦。這不是負面評論,這只是一個非常個人的意見!很想嘗試其他糕點!
麵包師朋友推薦的,所以糕點非常一流。奶油蛋捲基本上是在鬆餅托盤中烘烤的羊角麵包,然後填入腐朽的奶油餡。柚子和抹茶是我的最愛!
Right? The lines and food speak for themselves 😋
I’ve only gone in twice without having to queue up. This is the only place that I wouldn’t mind queuing up to make my purchases given their efficiency in processing orders and their divided “takeaway” and “eat in” line.
The line runs very quickly although so does the food. One of the staff does a peculiar shake of the bag to the side when collecting your goods.
I haven’t eaten inside, I can’t imagine having to wait at a line that moves so slowly just to have coffee and the goodies that I could buy takeaway.
Anyway, the pastries are always delicious. I’ve tried:
The three types of doughnuts: vanilla, hazelnut chocolate and raspberry jam. My dad loves the jam but I like the vanilla creme more. We must have bought the trio at least 4 times by now.
Sourdough eggtarts, usually purchased by the half dozen.
Croissants, which do not usually excite me, are quite impressive!
Apple crumble pastry is super delicious and moist.
Seeded sourdough is the fancy type you expect.
Almond croissant and Chocolate au pain were okay. I guess with an over 80% hit rate, this bakery is super and well established given their big fan base and business even during COVID and after the opening of similar bakeries.
I must add I also really very much like the personality of the owner Gergoie Michaud whom I’ve seen in TV documentaries of the bakey. Success well deserved.⭐⭐⭐
