Fabulous presentation. Terrible service and hygiene. I FOUND BUGS IN MY FOOD – TWICE.
I visited Epure multiple times for dinner and afternoon tea before. The experiences were okay.. Until I was there again for lunch today.
We ordered the three courses lunch and everything was fine until the foie gras course. There was A BUG on the garnish. So I told the manager and they said they will prepare a new one.
5 mins later, I got the “new” piece of foie gras which obviously is the same but they just changed the garnish….. The manager emphasised that it was a different one and they made sure that it’s clean this time….. So ate half of the dish and it was hard inside which is an indication that it wasn’t freshly prepared AT ALL and to make it worse… I FOUND ANOTHER BUG AGAIN.
I couldn’t enjoy the rest of my lunch and they offered no compensation, paid the full price. Will not go back. Ever again.
Intimate terrace for a late night outdoor drink. Tables are situated under large canopies with surrounding bushes. Drinks range from 88 to 149 HKD. Food ranges around 200 HKD. A lot of locals come here. Great service.

There’s fine dining restaurant inside and outside is for casual dining and drinks on the terrace. Their own Dalloyau champagne is delicious. Food and service were exceptionally great both in and out. Atmosphere is romantic and relaxed. Ask for a tour of the kitchen if your dining in the restaurant.
Great modern French food in well designed surrounds. Best saved for special occasions!

The outside terrace is great location wise, especially on a nice evening. It is a very expensive restaurant though, there are much better options nearby. Had a pasta for $200 but the serving left me hungry. It was quite tasty and a bigger porion for the price would have been nice.
A tiny glass of sprite, about 200ml or less, set me back $50.
Probably wouldn’t visit again, based on the value for money.

Food is delicious and the service is accommodated. It’s the menu, too much puff- made dish. Make me feel too full.
Had lunch once after it got the Michelin star. Ordered the set lunch created to celebrate getting the star. Price was ok but the restaurant is very noisy. People were literary shouting at each other. Food was ok. Quite good value for money.
Nice spot but you do not really have views from the terrace. Good cocktail with an average price of HK standard.

Café ÉPURE 是一間法國菜餐廳，位於海洋中心頂樓，露台area放滿綠色的植物，讓你有置身於天台花園的感覺，下班後與友人飲一杯超relax！
二人前下午茶，咸點出色，鬆餅亦好，但甜點較遜色，可能我唔食得太甜，尤其玫瑰餅有啲啲過甜，抹茶奶凍茶味不夠濃，但環境好好，合朋友傾計過一個下午
Food is alright， service is a bit slow, staffs are friendly.
Update 2018: Downgraded a star to 3-stars. No longer the best value x quality mix as it once was and choice has been reduced completely. It’s still a nice place to come but no longer a place I would consider at the top of my list or would recommend to others. The only saving grace keeping it in any list is the al fresco dining aspect.
This is one of my favourite places for lunch in Hong Kong. Based in Kowloon meant it was always more reasonable than similar places on the island and has a level on consistency you could rely on.
A frequent favourite but as of 2017 has received a Michelin Star. This is Hong Kong so obviously thoughts running through my head were. 1. Have they increased prices? 2. Has quality decreased? 3. Is it no longer worth it for prices charged?
To answer 1. Yes, prices have increased across the board. 2. Quality seems much the same but portions and additions much less (had to ask for bread which was a much reduced choice, no longer different flavoured butter, the green salad you see there – that was the same salad across ALL 3 courses in the same proportions… what gives?) 3. Meh… (for the Café Épure menu) it’s gone up for less on the table but still on the right side of acceptable, just.

Wonderful lunch in a very fine gastronomic French restaurant. The extremely talented chef has won his 1st Michelin star and even deserves a second one!

Had the summer tasting & the signature menu. And let me give my reasons for the 2-star rating. Firstly, we had selected the matched wines for both the menus and found out that they were very “white-wine” centric with only one red wine offered for both the tasting menus when there are many other possibilities. The horizontal pairing of the wines with food was excellent but the vertical integration going from starters to dessert was poor. Secondly, there was not time to rest and the dishes came as soon as you licked the spoon or fork, a bit rushed. Thirdly, many of the courses, while being served hot (READ warm), the plates were bone-cold and the food rapidly cooled down (aided by the cool a/c) while eating, something not expected for a restaurant like this. Finally, value for money – NO! Plenty of choices (stars or not). Will avoid and not repeat.

I ate lunch here and the price for French cuisine in Tsim Sha Tsui was reasonable. For appetizer the lobster salad was worth adding money for. The pasta was al dente in the meat sauce. The sea bass was cooked just fine. Its skin crisp and very soft and creamy inside.

Wonderful French restaurant in the elegant Harbour City shopping centre in Kowloon). Brilliant food and wine. Professional and friendly staff. They have a lovely garden overlooking Victoria Harbour and the Hong Kong Island, where you can have lunch or perhaps just a G&T (or any other cocktail). My friend and I had dinner there one evening, and chose the “short” (“only” six courses) tasting menu with recommended wines to go with it. It was one of those meals that I shall never forget! Absolutely brilliant. Expensive, yes, but you definitely get value for your money. If you are on a budget, go somewhere else.
Totally exceeds expectations. I went there with my gf as walk-in and didn’t know it had a Michelin star. We were drawn by its outdoor seating area which overlooks a corner of the Victoria harbour. Definitely recommend dining outdoors if it’s not too hot. The staff were friendly, talkative and attentive yet not overly interruptive nor pressurising. On of the staff even gave us a class on wine tasting. Food was great too.
Truly a Michelin starred dining experience which was worth the price. We had 1 appetiser, 1 main course, 1 dessert and 1 glass of wine which costs us around 280 per person.
Came for lunch, it took about an hour to serve a salad, kind of disappointed with the food as well.
已經第三次在這用餐，第一次坐室內晚餐，環境舒適，服務貼心，食物很美味，這樣的享受當然價錢是偏高的消費。今年我和太太在這享用了很令人回味的一餐。
Went to the cafe tonight with my family and had a rather disappointing experience. The food was average. But what infuriated me the most was that the toilet was only reserved exusively for resturant customers! How ridiculous as the cafe is also part of the EPURE brand.

Great environment, out door area. Was served by manager -Roy for New Year’s Eve who was very helpful and efficient. Good to book the outdoor area for a private party. Reasonably priced.
Good thing always come late! The dessert selection is so impressive!
We just celebrated a weekday lunch Birthday here. The surroundings were wonderful to spend the afternoon at. We had wonderful service. The staff were all very nice, discrete, yet helpful when needed.

Cafe Epure is situated on roof top of Ocean Center at Harbor City, Hong Kong. It’s a wonderful place to come at this time of the year watching sunset with excellent music that reminds you of France or Italy.
The sunset is so beautiful and romantic, especially if you will be sitting on elevated table and chair over looking the sea with sunset slowly approaching
They have good selections of wine and food, especially their sirloin steak which is absolutely superb over a glass of red wine with your intimate companion by your side
