The staff failed to read or notice my special request about giving a pleasant surprise to my beloved and doting hubby. I grew a little bit concerned as we had already finished the desert of the signature tasting menu but still there was no sign of any gesture from the floor staff. Then, my hubby left me, saying he needed to go to the restroom and I took the opportunity to ask a staff member, who most helpfully made a check and discovered that on omission had been made. The mistake, all be it unwitting or unintended, left me so flabbergasted that I started to get hysterical and sobbed uncontrollablly while couching down at the bottom of the sofa seat facing the alfresco dining area. Luckily I was able compose myself after just a few minutes after a kind hearted and attentive staff brought me a glass of warm water and it was at this juncture my beloved and loving hubby came back from the loo and indeed he was delighted to see the lovely chocolate cake that was sitting on our table. He was very happy to see it and I was equally happy as well. Thank you all despite the little hiccup. BTW, the good is good but it seems there is a real shortage of floor staff. Again, many thanks for the lovely dinner. We did have a great time.
Having been awarded a MICHELIN star for five years in a row, Epure is a French fine-dining restaurant perfect for special occasions with its lavish interiors and sumptuous tasting menus.
We came here for a birthday celebration last year right before dinner lockdown, as the WE LOVE DINING dinner deal from Dining City was a total steal ($988 compared to the usual $1,488+ per person).
Each dish was served quite promptly compared to the typical slower French style of eating, and the plating visuals were absolutely stunning (swipe right to see for yourself). Although the portions didn’t seem to be a lot, we were quite full, yet not stuffed with an uncomfortable feeling.
We started off first with warm crusty baguettes that came with a unique chilli butter spread. Appetizers included an innovative pairing of edamame and smoked pike roe in a crispy tart shell as well as the refreshing combination of sunchoke and fine apple dice.
The beef tartare was a tower of raw meat cubes mixed with seaweed and chopped onions in a slightly overbearing sauce, topped with chicken skin cracklings for an added crunch. The soft sea bass was served in a mild soup of cucumbers and seaweed for a nice contrast of texture. The tender guinea fowl meat was complemented with a nutty mousseline and aesthetically adorned with a flaky maple leaf.
The highlight of the night was definitely the souffle, which was simply PERFECT in every way – crispy on top, airy inside, a subtle balance of egg and earl grey (the flavor of the day) and vanilla ice cream with cookie crumbs on the side – left me already craving for more the second I finished it.
The petite fours (actually threes) came in a mini high tea rack, but the macaron, artisan chocolate and jelly were all a little too sweet for my liking. The complimentary birthday dessert surprise was a sweet gesture to end our meal in a memorable way.
Overall, the impeccable quality was undeniable – definitely worth crossing off our bucket list, but the dishes were not jaw-dropping that we’d want to pay the full price tag.

Have some amazing dishes, some alright dishes, good desserts.
The corn entree is nice, abit complicated to really taste.
Smoked eel awesome! Great flavour, texture, right amount of smokiness. Love the pickled eggplant on the side too, goes very well with the eel. Octopus is kind of boring tho.
The mushrooms soup OMG! Might be the best soup I had in my life! Love at first sip! Powerful yet mild fragrant from mushrooms. Onion truffle is not bad, average.
Duck liver not crispy on the outside, so it feels even more greasy when is in a big chunk. Like the cabbage crisp.
Lamb rack was grilled perfectly, very tender. Lamb selection, the aroma itself is nice but could be better.
Duck breast is alright, the two pieces with skin on is hard to chew. Lack of duck aroma.
Lobster cooked just right too! No surprise on the combination.
Soufflé is great, but little too sweet for me. Other desserts are good too.

Nice alternative to the chain coffee houses if you looking for a quieter spot to have a drink (including something stronger), pretty quiet after work during week when I visited – great for a small snack too. Staff are good, solid all round upmarket style cafe and worth a visit.

Actually I tried like few years ago and I remember it was not bad..
We ordered two 3 courses lunch set , $538 each, but we added $ for some dishes.
Starters: steak tartare , chutoro tuna + $168
Main: french steak, blue lobster + $178
Dessert: soufflé
I think everything was up to standard, the steak tartare was well seasoned, the steak was really tender, I liked the chutoro, and my husband liked the lobster.
Overall, I think if anyone got the harbour city coupons, is really worth trying. But In general, I think there are other alternatives with this price.

This place is elegant with a nice vibe.
This was my 3rd time visit and the food was good and you can chose among many menu options. The service was friendly and kind.
I love the Blue Lobster and the Souffle.
For the 1st time visit, the Vol-au-vent which filled with the rich lobster and langoustine bisque was my absolute favorite and unforgettable dish.
Beef tartare which had melt-in -mouth sensation.French steak is nice and fresh. I love the dessert ,Elle est mure which is chocolate with raspberry mix . Taste was very special not so sweet. Environment is good for fine dining.
一所有名的摘星餐廳, 環境真的非常好, 但食物獨特得很, 我暫未懂欣賞.
未至於十分驚喜,所有菜色可以用穩陣來形容。甜品水準好高,朱古力mousse 非常香滑。咖啡水準亦比不少高級餐廳優勝。
椅背好直坐得不太舒服,服務週到。

Excellent presentation of food. Pastry and desert were excellent and certainly outscored the savoury dishes. Wonderful white truffle but the pasta dish somehow failed to elevate the dining experience.
It’s certainly nice to have an outdoor dining space given the pandemic situation. Service is attentive and professional.
不愧是米其林特別推薦的餐點,世界好喝的蘑菇湯,真的從第一口到最後一口都是滿滿的驚豔 (๑⃙⃘´༥`๑⃙⃘) 9:1的白蘑菇與鮮奶油比例,完全不加一滴水製作,神奇的濃郁巧克力香氣,人間美味。
牛肉tartare覺得蛋黃醬有點過多,掩蓋了食物的美味。烤乳鴿入口即化,黑松露甜菜根泥的搭配也很好吃,甜點覺得比較普通了些。
味道配搭不算完美,但選用的食材比米其林三星餐廳要好

在這方面比LE PAN及Robunchon要好呢(笑)
雖然只是一星,但味道其實已經達二星程度了

Enjoyable place with friends and loved one. Great food and service.
One of the best modern outdoor places in Hong Kong where you have the beautiful sea view. Friendly staff.
The croissant is very impressing that with black pepper flavor, but they work very well.
For the remaining, they are competent to cost as a Michelin 1-star restaurant. The hot chocolate is quite embarrassing that the taste is not rich enough.

Finally tried their lunch last November and it certainly didn’t disappoint!
The portion was just right and we didn’t feel particularly full or that we wanted more.
I particularly enjoyed the “black pepper cheese croissant” and had to order a refill.
Dishes were absolutely delicious, but couldn’t say they were outstanding. We were served what we expected after all.

Excellent modern French cuisine.
Given that this is a Michelin star restaurant, we wanted to give it a try. Although the staff is very kind and professional, the food was rather very plain and boring. The mushroom soup tasted actually quite disgusting as it tasted more like cocoa. The lobster was also very bitter and didn’t taste good overall. The bread and desserts were great though! We would not come back for food, but would try other desserts again. Would not recommend for the main food though despite the fact that it has a one star Michelin.
Surprisingly the waiters did not know the menu. (Arctic char, flavour of the day ?) The appetisers and main courses were average but the desserts and petits fours were good. I had lunch with 4 friends, we did not expect this kind of experience in a Michelin star restaurant. Definitely not worth a stop.

Epure should have transformed from Cafe styleb French fine dining restaurant, with a theme of Royal Hunting Lodge.
We tried the summer lunch menu ($5xx for 3 courses and $6xx for 4 courses). The choices without supplement (pay extra) on the menu are limited so please budget a bit more. On a whole, it is a very good French cusine experience at very reasonable price (for French fine dining price range for sure). The food are all very fresh and well cooked and decorated. I particularly like their signature mushroom ? soup, with 90% mushrooms ? and 10% creme (no water added). Also they are lavish with their delicious and beautiful desserts. The lunch costed us $17xx for 2 persons.
P.S. because if the deco (mainly glass and metal), the environment would be a bit noisy with full house. This is something they can work on, e.g. putting on some sound absorbing decos.
This place is actually not that bad and I think it’s a valid 1-star. Understood it might not be the best Michelin 1-star restaurant but given that it’s located in Harbour city with a nice view and environment. The set lunch is $538 (?) per person which is very reasonable. The mushroom soup (need to add an extra of $168(?)) tasted divine and the chocolate raspberry was awesome. The rest of the food was also very nice and the service of our server who is called Ray/Roy Wu was great. It was an enjoyable lunch.
Great course meal. Definitely not your everyday brunch. Friendly staff. The bread roll was really good too.

芝士牛角包及法包,配備海帶牛油。
特式的芝士牛角包烤至酥脆通透,與一般牛角包外脆內軟不同,口感相比硬些。
紅蝦 red prawn
紅蝦他他、柚子在面、烏魚子在底、放在薄薄的薯片上
主要是吃紅蝦刺身及脆片的口感,非常鮮甜,口中變化,鮮香過後透出甘甘地柚子果味。
賣相方面,如草原上的花果,好看!
八爪魚.西班牙香腸 Octopus, chorizo
西班牙八爪魚與香腸的組合,配以薯蓉及紅菜頭肉汁。
八爪魚很軟嫩,味道唔錯,鹹香腸仔粒味道突出,對比滋味。
魚子醬 Oscietra
粉青色澤的青瓜啫喱極漂亮,非常奪目,啫喱之下尚有一層乳酪,另配一件栗子麵包條。
未嚐過魚子醬配青瓜啫喱及乳酪的配搭,想不到,清新的青瓜啫喱,成功既突顯亦平衡魚子醬的鹹香。
巴黎白蘑菇湯 Paris mushroom soup
早已聽說蘑菇湯出色,不愧為招牌,白蘑菇忌廉湯出奇地有點乾果香,色澤亦似合桃糊,濃稠香滑,湯內尚有些糰粒可吃。
洋蔥.黑松露 onion, black truffle
話呢個係洋蔥真係唔係幾信?點睇都似一道矜貴菜式,何況充滿著松露香氣。
做法真是意想不到,主體真的是半個法國洋蔥,張開層層空間釀滿黑松露,然後烤煮,再鋪上一片金黃焦香的薄片,配以黑色的黑松露洋蔥汁及白色的焦糖洋蔥忌廉提味。
沒有洋蔥的霸氣辣味,口中充滿著松露之香,輕盈的一道,食味來自醬汁。
反轉看才見到個洋蔥樣!
原來一山還有一山高,這個洋蔥菜式真是令人叫絶。
鴨肝 duck foie gras
炭燒鴨配煙燻鰻魚紅酒汁
嗅到炭燒及煙燻之香郁,鴨肝內心保持粉嫩,幼滑豐腴,鰻魚香滑。
龍蝦 lobster
以三款蕃茄龍蝦伴之,分別是 dark 、green 及 pineapple tomatoes,堂前倒進蕃茄龍蝦汁及油醋汁調味。
龍蝦肉脆彈鮮嫩,番茄酸甜合適,美味的一道。

法國中部羊架
主菜有日本和牛或法國羊架之選擇,我認為後者較為配合法國菜。
四支骨羊架烤至金黃焦香,堂前分切,色澤粉紅,肉質極嫩,配法國薯仔及黑松露汁。
迷你薯仔烤得香,味甜美。
清清的青檸雪葩清洗味蕾。
精選法國牧場芝士 artisan cheese
我非常欣賞這道牧場芝士拼盤,巴馬、牛奶、香辛、藍芝士及羊芝士等,伴以果仁、煙燻糖及葡萄,放在餅乾上同吃,循序變化,各有特色。
紅桑子.朱古力 Raspberry & chocolate
甜點通常都會打扮得漂亮,紅桑子口味的各式各様,配雪糕及朱古力。
Opera 生日蛋糕

The environment is so nice and service is good. I tried the three course lunch at $558. The mushroom soup is silky smooth! It is so rich and creamy!! Highly recommended!
The angus beef steak is so tender and soft! I could not believe it is not wagyu, though it is not fatty as wagyu but the texture is so soft and with rich meaty flavor, very very good!
Pineapple desert is so fresh and delight! The pineapple is so juicy, with aid of mint sauce , and the lime sorbet, what a perfect cool summer sweet!
Rose latte got nice rose aroma, mild coffee, with nice smooth oat milk, smooth texture, yummy!
Petite four is one bite size. The creme brûlée is nice and sweet, the chocolate is silky smooth with dense chocolate flavor, while the sweet is chewy and I had a great time here.

Disappointing for a fine dining restaurant with a supposedly high level of customer service. The restaurant agreed to a same day reservation, denied the staff’s promise to hold the table upon arrival and curtly said there’s no available seating.

Service was not bad but food was so below par. The afternoon tea set was all cold. Even scone was cold. Can feel the business is shaking.
非常用心制作、第一次食煙燻鰻魚,配鵝肝,竟然味道如此出色。非常驚喜。
首先,外面風景很好,還能抽煙,真好。
它可能很普通,但你必須嘗試松露薯條

Everything seasoned well and as perfect as its decor and service. The mushroom soup is something I will think about for a long time to come. All mushroom with small part cream, no water added. Well deserved star.
