Branch of the famous Peking Garden chain, but unusually, this branch offered an extensive dimsum menu during lunchtime with many northern style dimsums, as well as the local Cantonese ones. The mixture we tried were all well prepared and all very reasonably priced. The restaurant was spacious, elegantly decorated. A few tablets by the windows offered unparalleled view of the harbour, recommend to book these in advance. Service was friendly and efficient. Really nice place to drop in for a relaxing lunch.
Update December 2021
Been back twice since the original review to try more dishes and downgraded it. Comparing to the branchs in Alexander House and Pacific Place, this branch clearly does not match the standards of the other two. One possible reason is during lunch times it caters for dinners coming mainly for Cantonese dimsums at competitive prices, in doing so, the chef/kitchen are not focused on the main Pekingnese menu resulting in corresponding reduction in standard.
Poor service

Good Peking duck
生日飯訂位星光行北京樓，9個人，被安排到房內大玻璃窗隔離，外望尖沙咀鐘樓，無敵維港海景，入夜後有維港夜景及八點“幻彩詠香江”, 到點亦會校暗燈光，好等清楚欣賞，好彩當晚雖然有雲，但天色尚算晴朗。
這裏沒有套餐選擇，所以不會像其他酒樓一樣，免了服務員極力推銷所謂抵食套餐。但這裏亦久奉大閘蟹，只提供蟹粉菜色。翻了翻菜單，前菜，主菜連甜品隨便點了19樣。前菜有川揚怪味脆香牛肉, 所謂怪味其實是少少麻辣, 丁方大小的牛肉粒, 外表裹上一層麥芽糖, 煎至脆香. 牛肉肉質軟腍, 外表脆香, 很好食. 鎮江糖醋小排骨, 小排骨其實一點也不少, 大大的一塊排骨, 肥瘦適中, 而且糖醋味完全入到排骨裏, 一啖咬下去, 骨肉立刻分離. 宮廷四喜拼盤, 雖然驚喜不大, 但每一款都很好食. 主食有北京片皮鴨加鴨肉炒鬆生菜包, 片皮鴨新鮮熱辣片脆, 最值一讚是包片皮鴨的麵皮, 每一塊麵皮都有點心蒸紙分隔, 每一塊麵皮都超薄無比, 但仍濕潤而煙軔. 加上少量片皮鴨醬, 一條西芹一條蔥十分好味. 生菜片鴨崧, 生菜固然就鮮, 炒鬆每一種材料都切得很細, 包入生菜片做生菜包很好送飯. 風沙吊燒雞, 雖然是很平常一送菜, 但雞很嫩滑但雞皮燒得香脆, 加上蒜香, 十分惹味. 糖醋桂花魚, 擺碟已經是一打卡菜, 魚呈U 字型, 魚頭魚尾向天. 服務員會先給時間大家影相再解魚. 魚肉亦十分細滑, 上枱一轉眼就已剩骨. 蟹粉小籠包, 一般食店都會做到有腥味, 但這只有蟹鮮味, 可點5只一籠或9只一籠. 蟹粉豆腐鮮肉餃就比較失色, 食不出蟹粉味道, 普通小籠包固然皮薄湯多. 甜品點了焗西米布丁, 現在已很少有中式焗西米布丁, 雖然內餡是蓮蓉而不是荔蓉. 豆沙鍋餅香脆, 雨花湯丸是芝麻湯丸配上桂花糖水, 很香桂花味. 碗豆王固名思義就是用碗豆做成的中式蒸糕, 很有碗豆味, 用紅色漆盒上枱亦很有特色. 19樣食物連9位茶錢, 共$3,100 右左, 附送維港夜景, 絕對值得

北京樓我還是第一次光顧，
菜式方面也有不少地方菜式，
而且味道也非常適合廣東，北京，上海，江蘇的朋友口味，我的家人都吃得好開心，
可能疫情遊客少了，反而坐下來吃，比較舒服，人潮適中：）

This is my first visit to Beijing Tower.

the last time i was in peking garden was almost 10 yrs ago for my mom’s 80th. the ambience was tacky and tired with the tourists’ must have performance of noodle making from scratch. the food was non descript. fast forward 10 years on, the restaurant now looks tastefully modern, and to my relief, no more noodle making stunts. the food is still not much to write home about. but at least, it provides the setting for a comfortable dining experience.

After a few years of missing out this restaurant, I must say it changed and has kept up with the times. Perhaps, my last visit was in the 90’s wherein Im used seeing waitresses pushing dimsum carts and roast duck was actually carved infront of you. ? Yeah its been a while indeed ? The duck was still good but the flour wrap was way too paper thin, sweet and sour pork was good as well as the dimsum we ordered. I’d say its a resto that you may want to bring your touring friends to or simply a special family occassion.
