Hutong is a great place for celebration! It has a beautiful view of Victoria Harbour, highly recommended anyone visiting Hong Kong for a vacation to visit this restaurant! I loved the peking duck (ordered half duck) as well as the mandarin fish fillet and pickled cabbage, poached in spicy and sour broth(fish are boneless). The dessert which looks like a tangerine is fantastic as well! Tho if u fancy a nice portrait with your love ones, you could be disappointed. As the lighting there was pretty bad, like the yellow lighting and the wooden table make it all the worst, is like my skin turn yellow. (So maybe going at the afternoon or early evening like 6 ish in summer will be better) I included a photo I took at 6 pm as well, it is great to go there early so that you can enjoy both day view and night view of Victoria harbour!

I went there for Resto Week with very high expectations, which were utterly shattered. Chaotic service, food was at best mediocre, portion was so tiny I had to goto McDonald’s only an hour after dining there. Course menu clearly indicated 3 appetizers and 2 mains per person, but this laziest army of management, servers, and cooking staffs decided to limit it PER table without changing changing it on their printed menu or asking for understanding from its patrons. I would never go back here even if it was half the price I paid last week.

The view is stunning through and probably looks even better at night. Day time you can see the windows are quite dirty but a great view of HK Island

We went there as a family and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The food is delicious and the views amazing! The staff is very friendly! I highly recommend it, although a bit pricey! A meal for 3 will come to about HKD2,000 (including drinks).

The decor, music and everything is just amazing that tourists and expats will love this place.
Every aspect of from the ceiling to the menu was totally oriental.
I know it sounds silly mentioning the washroom but that was worth checking out too.
I liked the Hutong Dan Dan noodles which came in this cute ceramic little pot, the broth was quite spicy and thick with a rich peanut taste.
Booked this place for lunch for my nephew’s 100-day celebration. We’ve originally booked a room with the harbor view but for some reason the staff made a mistake and told us it wasn’t available upon arrival. It was sorted after a long 15 minutes wait plus discussion.
Put aside the issue, we had their outstanding brunch set that came with appetizers, dim sum, hot dishes and desserts. I gotta say the set was awesome and completely exceeded my expectation in terms of variety and taste. There were 4 appetizers, 4 dim sum, 4 hot dishes and 4 desserts in the brunch set and the portion was generous. Each dish was very tasty and I just wish I had the stomach space to accommodate all the food.
We’ve added extra for the signature dish (Peking duck) Although the price tag is hefty, how can one resist the paper thin crispy skin from a roasted duck along with spring onion, cucumber and sweet sauce wrapped in a thin pancake?
The overall dining experience was pleasant despite the little drama with the reservation.

Wow how disappointing.
We heard great things and it is a great view and lovely decor but we had some of the worst service I’ve ever experienced in HK in 6 years. Some food was good, but honestly for the price was average.
Our first time coming to the restaurant. The view didn’t disappoint. The food on the other hand was average. The Peking duck slices were too thick and quite dry. The cold served spicy chicken (口水雞) tasted of frozen chicken.

Delicious dinner with a view of Victoria Harbour if you can get a table by the window. We got the dim sum appetizer platter and ‘Bao and Soy Milk’ dessert – soy milk caramel ice-cream in the shape of a bun with puffed rice and flakey sesame pastry. The restaurant is a bit dark at night, feels very similar to its previous location.

Went there for dinner and got a set menu. A lot of dishes are spicy despite not declared on the menu (without non-spicy options).
The food was below mediocre. What you pay for is the view and nothing more.

古色古香川菜《胡同》
一出電梯，就看到2個大紅燈籠?高掛著，中間掛了「胡同」的牌匾，另一邊是掛滿一大排紅燈籠的走廊；穿過珠簾就看到用餐座位和無敵維港景色了，整間餐廳裝潢都很中國風，燈光蠻昏暗的，很適合約會
這次點了套餐，另外加了半隻片皮鴨，份量比較多；整體食物質素有水準，個人喜歡松露鮑魚，松露味十分香濃，配合鮮味十足的鮑魚；竹炭魚香咸水角也是非常出色的前菜，最特別就是麻婆豆腐包，麻婆豆腐餡不太辣但十分惹味；主菜方面最喜歡胡麻子大虎蝦，king size的虎蝦肉質夠爽，加上避風塘配料，醬汁中帶梨和蘋果的味道，可以提升蝦的鮮味?
