The best egg tarts I’ve had goes to Bakehouse, tried it and then went back to buy some more to take home. Don’t sleep on their yuzu doughnut as well. Expect a line but don’t worry as the line does move in a timely fashion. I also tried their golden coffee, and it was okay, it almost was like a pumpkin spice coffee since there is a very strong cinnamon taste
Super delicious pastries. Definitely one of the best egg tarts I’ve ever had. So worth it. Staff was also kind and fast.

I tried the apple pie cookie and scone.. both are only okay. Scone is quite regular – not on the sweet side. The cookie had little bits of apple in it which I didn’t find too pleasing. I think I need to try the egg tart to truly measure whether this place is worth the hype.
Awesome bread and sourdough, depending on the time, there’s usually a waiting time of 5-10 minutes. I feel their egg tarts are a bit overrated.
The coffee and the bread were good to my liking, full body.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you want to try Hong Kong’s famous egg tarts!? the outside has this beautiful caramelized color, the inside was soft and pudding like and the pastry was flaky! They do seem to be gone quit fast tho! We had to try 3 times to finally be able to spot some! But sooo worth it!!? …

Delicious Pastry!
I recently visited Bakehouse and I had a fantastic experience.
I ordered the sourdough eggtart and salted egg & caramel custard polobun it was awesome. The eggtart was so crispy and flaky and the presentation was beautiful. Polobun filling is very nice but the top is not crispy.
I also appreciated the attention to detail when it came to service. The staff was fast and efficient in serving.
Overall, I had a wonderful experience at bakehouse and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious pastry.

Excellent croissant with cheese and ham. Delicious chocolate hazelnut doughnut. Everything is fresh and made in the purest French tradition. I am French so I should know. I will be back!

saw this online as a place for the best egg tarts in HK for $12 HKD and it definitely did not disappoint ?? the only disappointment was that I couldn’t buy anymore the second time I went because it was sold out …. really hands down one of the best egg tarts I have eaten.. (fyi these are sourdough Portuguese egg tarts) …

The donuts were good, strawberry vanilla Danish ok. Best was the sourdough egg tarts.
salted egg polo bao I had tasted like day old bread sadly. I hope it was just a bad piece. 38$ wasted.
I must say, while the egg tarts were delicious, they lacked the expected “sourdough” aspect.
The pastry was flaky and buttery, and the custard filling had a perfect smooth texture and just the right level of sweetness.
However, what disappointed me was that I couldn’t taste the distinct sourdough flavor that was advertised. While the pastry was delightful, I was expecting a unique tanginess that comes from using sourdough in the dough. Unfortunately, it was missing that extra special touch that would have made it truly outstanding.
Another aspect worth mentioning is the long queue that often forms outside the stall. Waiting in the sun for 30 minutes can be quite an ordeal, especially during peak hours. My advice would be to pre-order the egg tarts and collect them the next day. By doing so, you can skip the queue entirely. Simply head straight to the cashier when collecting your pre-ordered tarts.
Overall, I would say that these egg tarts are worth trying, especially if you’re in the area. However, I wouldn’t personally recommend queuing for 30 minutes in the sun. Take advantage of the pre-order system to save time and avoid a long wait. Despite the lack of sourdough flavor, they are still delicious and a satisfying treat.

早上來買的，人不多蛋撻味道不錯改天帶回泰國吃還是很好吃的。
垃圾店一家，我买了370抉的东西给一千块它们，它们不收它们没有在店内公告说不收一千元凭什么不收，你说我买30多块的包给一千元不收还说得过去，我买了300多给一千你不收，把店关了吧仆街，要不就叫香港政府把一千元纸币收回去，你说是小店不收我也没那么气，还网红店早点关门大吉吧仆街
