Value for money N delicious
Probably the best croissant in town ??? …
Worth the hype!
The aroma of caramelizing sugar and butter near the place is heavenly..
Excellent pastries
Good place for tea
I’m a regular customer of Gontran Cherrier and I love their pastry. However, starting from today, for some reason, Gontran Cherrier restaurant decided not to serve pastry for breakfast time and force the customers to take only one set without pastry. There is a Gontran Cherrier pastry shop just 2 meters from the restaurant. We asked if we can buy a Gontran Cherrier pastry and bring it to the café and the manager refused.
Gontran Cherrier is a pastry chef, not a fruit salad maker or a coffee barista. So can someone explain me the logical NOT to serve pastry especially during breakfast time? Whatever the reason, it’s tarnishing its reputation and clearly in Europe no one would make such ridiculous decision so it’s also hurting European “art de vivre”.
it’s quite funny they have queuing ticket system but they have to have staff to call numbers… totally not synchronized.
I arrived at around 1445 and waited till 1511 to get seats available and settled down. it just happened to pass the 1500 menu hours but no staff member was informing customers about that and they were not changing the menu. we thought of what to eat while queuing and waiting yet the menu changed already once we got seated. as I said we were not told until seated so it felt pretty much being set up. certianly you could say it’s my responsibility to read the available time for brunch too but as a proper restaurant they should tell too. They were full but staff were not busy at all and they were just giving individual training of the upcoming teaset to staff. Staff were not attentive to seating clients, taking order and serving. Service totally not up to standard.
Becos the brunch was not available we were left with the choice of al la Carte and waffle. We ordered a crab meat salad and crossiant. The food was up to standard/expectation. But with the location without view, service etc, I don’t see the reason of coming again nor recommending people. you can just grab a crossiant or pastery in the bakery and go , no reason to dine in.
You know that you’ve come to the right bakery when fresh pastries are served straight from the oven, still warm and sizzling before your eyes. These crisp, golden-brown croissants always leave you thinking about your next visit, because you can never truly be satisfied with a single purchase here.
While the famed croissants are a must try, my personal favourite is the Kouign Amann. The buttery, caramelized glazing wrapped on top of a crispy, multi-layered pastry is the epitome of heaven itself. Its hefty size can be deceiving at first, but it melts in your mouth before you know it and leaves you wanting more.

Five stars for take away bakery, 3 stars for dine-in. It’s famous for its croissants and always has a long queue. I tried matcha and plain croissants and a plain scone, and all of them are amazingly delicious.
However, the restaurant by next is not good enough. The French soup is too salty and the cheese bread on the side is too dry. Mushroom Benedict is better but less than expected as well.
(2020 Review) Indeed their croissants are the best. You will see a long queue most of the time with buttery smell around you.
Tried their restaurant next to the bakery. Not too bad at this price range. The onion soup had a bit too much black pepper and made it tasted spicy.
(2022 Update) Still the best croissant in town and one of the must buy item on my every visit to K11 MUSEA.
No matter weekdays or weekend this bakery is always long queue outside
Most famous for their croissants in different flavours
food is alright
service is terrible
i would much rather go to bakehouse
We had their brunch. All were great except that the smoked salmon didn’t have any smoke favor.
Beverage is good, food is average, the dining area is spacious, and the atmosphere is chilling
Decent for HK but the queues are a bit mad. Price tends to be on the high side – try it if the queue is small
Located at the basement of K11, this bakery frequently attracts long lines. You’ll see everyone picking up the fancy (read frankenstein-ed) croissants but don’t forget —and trust me— to pick up the Kouign Amann. It’s almost done to perfection, sticky, sweet, buttery and flaky as well.
Very bad attitude
Good food, but terrible staff manners, especially cashiers.
Their croissants taste perfect. Prices are a little high. But absolutely worth the money! Highly recommended.
Delicious croissants and genuine French baguette. Freshly made on site. Attractive presentations.
Despite an empty restaurant and my 5 year old being the only one that wants to eat, they demand a two breakfast set minimum. I don’t understand why they would rather get zero money with an empty table instead. Mindless policy.
One of the best bakeries in town.
So good
有no butter no sugar 嘅包賣,啱晒減肥人士
AMAZING!!
Almond croissant.
My goto place for the best Almond croissant in the world.
But on Saturday 11 Feb. Got a seat at the restaurant ard 3.30pm.
Was told about min charge.
No problems.
But does not serve croissant n that’s a big problem. Cos I travelled from oseas to goto Cherrier place for croissant
Sad and ordered salmon portebello mushroom sandwich.
Disappointed with smoked salmon which was smokeless.
All in v v disappointed with my
Outstanding pastries! Great quality, texture, and taste. Queue looks long but goes by really quickly. About 5 mins or so! Expensive yes, but worth it.
Lovely croissants. The crust is crunchy yet the insides are soft. I wish the matcha croissant would come with matcha fillings. They have plenty of pastry selections and the prices are reasonable. The only issue is the queue to pay. There is only 1 counter which makes the queue long.
Freshly baked items are the best!
Lines can be very long at times. And or they are out of trays or tongs to grab stuff with. Best to bring your patience.
King of bakery, took a while to locate in K 11 may be all the rest of shops envy this location and funny experience, i bought a strawberry danish sat to ate and saw before i finish one and go for the next lime was so long they lost my business ( just joking) keep it up
Pastry is great. But it’s crowded, has a line most of the time and the staff are not particularly friendly. It’s worth trying though.
OMG best croissant ever! There’s a long line all the time so the croissant rotation is fast, so you will likely get freshly baked ones, which are always the best.
one of the best croissants in hong kong! ? pricey but worth it 🙂 …
Located at the new K11 shopping complex at TST. Arrived early at 1130 to avoid the lines during the peak lunch hour. Lines had already formed for their bakery section.
Ordered 2 of their signature dishes, Croissant Benedict and their Chiabatta Waygu beef.
Both are large portions. Enough for a hungry appetite. The croissant was large and flakey, eggs cooked nice and runny. Waygu beef was a little too thick for my preference but soft and tender.
Pleasant decor with a quiet atmosphere. Service staff were efficient but not very personable, they took dishes away before asking.
The staff has very bad attitude. They just throw your pastries on the side after packing. They don’t have a consistent service flow. The staff could already start packing. Instead, she just stood there and told the customer “don’t” put the tray on the table.
Good croissants but super bad attitude from employees. I wish you have a bad day.
Brunch
Not typical type of English scones. Texture is more like buttery biscuit and soft inside. Very nice! The matcha scone is for people who have real sweet teeth coz it is with white chocolate, making the scone kina melting and chewy inside.
The staff who took the order for coffee at about 4.30 was very rude. She couldn’t hear what i ordered and i had to repeat it again. Then she repeatedly laughed at my face for almost 10 secs. What a behavior.
