I use to go Singapore twice a year. If anyone mentions about Singapore food, chicken rice and laksa will be those first to come to mind. Chatterbox is one of the most famous restaurants in Singapore. The price range of their Hong Kong branch is slightly higher than the Singapore branches. One of my favorite drinks is iced milo dinosaur?. Some crunchy milo balls on the top of the drink! Their laksa was nice. It was not spicy but flavorful with four pieces of prawn and fish ball slices! Not a bad choice if you are around Taikoo!
裝修美 食物好 但人多
An overrated restaurant! The Mandarin Chicken Rice is just so so, if you like soft chicken meat you better go to Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice instead. The clear soup is salty without much taste. The Scallop Laksa was disappointing, it’s salty and doesn’t have much coconut nor seafood taste in it. The Laksa at Asam Chicken Rice is better. However, the Char Kway Teow taste really nice with great ‘wok chi’, this dish and the atmosphere are the reasons I’m giving it 2 stars instead of one.

位於尖沙咀的Chatterbox Café,是一間在1971年創立的的新加坡海南雞飯專門店。品牌多年來獲獎無數,平均每日售出700份招牌海南雞飯,深受當地人歡迎。
Chatterbox Café來了香港之後,人氣有增無減,每次經過餐廳,都大排長龍,非常誇張呀!
我曾經與朋友品嚐過這裡的菜式,覺得質素不錯,所以這次便帶媽媽來試一試啦。店家除了有招牌的文華海南雞飯,亦有各種星洲美食佳餚,例如:喇沙、炒貴刁、特色小食、甜品等等,我們也點了數款呢。
文華海南雞飯 $118
鎮店之寶的文華海南雞飯,下單後不用三分鐘就呈上,光速的速度,令人驚訝呀!
海南雞用50分鐘慢煮製成,肉質軟腍鮮味,加上醬汁後更加惹味。海南雞比首次品嚐時更加嫩滑和入味,味道不錯呀~
招牌雞肉喇沙 $108
相對於海南雞飯,我更愛味道濃厚的雞肉喇沙。喇沙散發著濃濃的椰香、奶香、咖喱香,令人忍不住馬上吃一口。湯頭濃郁芳香,惹味無比,如果麵條彈牙一點就更好。
鮮斑蘭蛋糕伴鮮果 +$58
期間限定的斑蘭蛋糕,當然要試試。蛋糕鬆軟可口,斑蘭味濃,味道也不錯呢。
味道不錯,不過價錢和份量唔成正比,連小朋友都覺得唔夠食,可以一試,真係一試就夠~~
由於份量太小,唔想影相~~
今次食咗個海南雞飯同白胡椒肉骨茶,個海南雞飯啲雞都幾滑,而個肉骨茶就淡味咗啲,都係鍾意馬拉個款肉骨茶多啲。
其實之前都嚟過呢一間餐廳食,但係上次就冇叫到海南雞飯。今次就是但叫,話晒佢都係新加坡過江龍嘅人氣必叫飯。
呢一盆菜係落左單之後大約5分鐘就已經上到枱。都係嘅因為海南雞係凍架ma,飯同埋湯就咁畢完如就可以即刻上枱。都係經典野,佢個海南雞飯就配咗黑豉油薑蓉同埋辣椒醬。個湯好清,可以話冇乜味道。
油飯黎講中規中矩。唔算特別油香,食過更好的。
佢個雞係滑溜嘅,不過好多雞皮其實都唔會食。好似可以加$20要雞髀。
加埋一其實都要成$150,我覺得有啲唔係好抵,不過勝在喺大商場入邊就好方便。相對嘅價錢喺出邊可以食到兩碟了,而且質素亦都可以話不相伯仲。
Nice decor and ambiance, decent service, too. However, their curry is way too salty (for me) and totally different from what we used to eat in Singapore and Malaysia. Again, when it comes to South east Asian dishes, Hong Kong chefs tend to convert them for the local taste buds. Just bear that in mind, and you won’t feel too let down, I suppose.

星洲名店。插翼難飛的日子, 來吃件海南雞, 勾起不少對獅城的回憶。

The chicken is too soft and tasteless, unlike the real meat. So called”冇雞味”. Garlic sauce and chilli sauce, tasteless too. The soup is a bit salty. Only the rice is good.
It is Tuesday afternoon about 5pm. 4/5 tables were empty. The servers gave me the worst table which is most close to the entry that people walk around. A man came after me, the server gave him 4 seats table. It seems that single women are NOT welcome in this restaurant.
The server come to clean the table when I just take a look at my phone and not finish yet. What‘s the rush?
Bad taste. Poor attitude. Worthless experience. Next time? No way.
try the Hainan chicken rice..it’s really really good
海南雞都幾好食,似嫩滑白切雞多d,唔會特別好想再去食,甜品都一般般啦,反而支水有d似礦泉水都幾好飲。

現場食的海南雞飯好味道,雞有雞味,又滑,好味過新加坡的天天海南雞飯,叻沙也好味,有地道風味。只是環境比較嘈吵,平日應該會好些。外賣海南雞就無咁入味。咸蛋雞翅都正。但值得一試!

Yeah, not worth the price. I got the laksa and my partner the Hainanese chicken lunch set. It tasted more like overseas food court Singaporean to us. The chicken was over cooked.

This is my second time visiting this place. We tried the mandarin chicken rice last time and it was quite good. A bit on the expensive side though but worth a second visit.
This time we have the curry chicken rice and the fried pork rice. The fried pork was okay but the curry chicken was utter bs. It tasted like some cheap $40 lunchbox thay my kids school caterer offered. The chicken did not defrost well and did not taste like chicken at all. The curry is mediocre and the pita it gave us were like chips. It was just air and nothing. How am i supposed to have good taste of your curry if your pita doesnt soak?
Worst Singaporean food in town.
Just don’t come.
I give it two star cos the mandarin chicken rice is probably the only dish that is acceptable.

呢個鹹蛋雞翼真係每次嚟都必點, 鹹香嘅鹹蛋黃滿滿鋪起隻雞翼到, 愈食愈惹味, 超級邪惡 雖然外表望落去好似好炸咁? 但其實反而比較似煎得好香脆既雞翼, 而雞翼既本身都有鹹味? 佢仲有四隻同六隻比客人選擇㗎❣️

同朋友係尖沙咀K11 Musea行街,經過呢間餐廳發現到幾多人排隊,所以今次就嚟試下Chatterbox Café ,入到餐廳內職員安排咗我地坐卡位,坐位好闊落坐得舒服。
今次叫咗個文華海南雞飯,見到旁邊嘅客人都點呢個餐,我諗都唔會差得去邊,嚟到賣相非常吸引,而啲雞唔會全部比晒雞胸相對好均勻,食落肉質好嫩滑,加上起咗骨食落好滿足啖啖肉☺️,連埋黑醬油、辣椒醬同薑蓉一齊食,真係好食到停唔到口,油飯好出色粒粒分明煮得啱啱好,食落唔會太硬太濕。旁邊嘅湯都好好飲唔會過鹹,飲落唔會有味精味。真心推薦文華海南雞飯必點?!

Promise me you will try the pandan coconut ice cream okay
Ordered 3 main dishes, and a couple of sides. Expensive is one thing, but the taste has plenty of room for improvements.
Fried hokkien noodles -9999/5 probably the worst bland tasting derivative I have ever had. No wokhei, no fried pork lard. Took few bites and discarded the rest.
Hainanese chicken rice 3/5 juicy and delicate taste, would recommend. They also ran out of the chicken rice and gave me bland white rice.
Char kway teow 3/5 no wok hei, sufficiently seasoned but lacks the accurate taste.
Also ordered Otah(would recommend)
and Salted egg chicken wings(do not recommend, just powdered chicken wings) and pork satay (do not recommend, rubbery overcooked with no char)

餐廳以啡色及深綠色作主調,椰林樹影,充滿阿熱帶風情。餐桌安排上,與鄰桌的距離不會太過近,私隱度充足。筆者頗為欣賞餐廳職員的服務態度,窩心又有效率。掃描二維碼(QR Code)下單後,熱騰騰的食物在十分鐘內便上桌了。
文華海南雞飯 – $123
(Mandarin Chicken Rice)
?The world-famous Hainanese Chicken rice – tender-boiled chicken, fragrant rice and chicken soup with homemade chilli, ginger and dark soya sauce
海南雞飯是餐廳的招牌菜,水準也相當不錯。海南雞的份量慷慨而充足,會有雞脾肉和雞胸肉各一大片,可以滿足地吃一件海南雞配一口油飯。
筆者相當愛吃雞胸的位置,雞胸肉質嫩滑,除了雞肉的味道,還能聞到淡淡的酒香。雞肉下的醬汁也不會過鹹,不會蓋海南雞本身的味道。
三款醬汁包括有黑醬油、薑蓉和辣椒醬。筆者最愛吃自家製辣椒醬,辣椒的味道天然柔和,不會過猛。
油飯的味道也是頗為不錯,能感受到雞油的份量為恰到好處。筆者曾吃過雞油份量過多的油飯,感覺有點膩,影響了整個菜式。
雞湯的感覺也是清新滋潤,底下還有一塊滑豆腐。
招牌雞肉喇沙 – $112
(Chatterbox Chicken Laksa)
?Thick rice vermicelli with chicken, egg, fish cakes and dried beancurd in spicy coconut gravy
喇沙湯底味道濃郁,椰漿的味道頗為濃厚,質地相對濃稠。而且香料味道細緻而突出,相信香料有預先慢磨,才用以熬製湯底。香料的味道比蝦的味道也更為突出。
配料有一整隻全熟蛋(Hard-boiled Egg)、魚片、芽菜和吸滿了湯汁的豆腐卜。雖然是全熟蛋,但是烚蛋的時間也計算得十分精準,烚蛋的質感也不會過硬。魚片切得厚身,質感彈牙。
這碗喇沙是搭配米線,朋友則覺得米線略為腍身了少許。雞肉和喇沙湯底頗為合襯,而且雞件質感嫩滑,湯底的溫度適中,不會將雞肉浸得過熟。
馬來特色香煎辣魚餅 – $58
(Otah-otah)
Malay-style pan-fried spicy fish cake
這款魚餅是一道頗為獨特的新加坡菜式,味道鹹香,當中嚐到頗濃香料的味道。魚餅先用蕉葉包裹,再用火燒,所以會聞到淡淡蕉葉的味道。魚餅與白麵包同吃,令魚餅的味道更為鮮甜。
椰子雪糕新地 – $62
(Coconut Ice Cream Sundae)
?Keeping the tradition and using our homemade coconut ice cream receipe served with pineapple, attap seed and mango puree
餐廳職員端來了一客豐富的雪糕新地,賣相誘人又吸睛。三大球巨大的椰子雪糕適合兩至三人分享。椰子雪糕是餐廳自家製的,不會過甜,感覺清新而滑溜。
新地的配料還有菠蘿粒、海椰子、爆爆珠、芒果醬和花生粒,令椰子新地的味道更為豐富。朋友則認為芒果醬略為甜了少許。
