Just had a fabulous lunch at Gaddi’s. Haven’t been for quite some time and will definitely return soon. The background music and general ambiance is wonderful. Service is perfect. Presentation is perfect and very detailed. Each course had a lovely taste and unique textures. Portions are also generous. Thank you Gaddi’s front and back of house teams for today’s dining experience.
Update: I have been back today and it is as fantastic as ever.

Stunning meal here for Christmas Eve. A delightful tasting menu in a beautiful setting. We were so well looked after by the staff, the band were terrific, and we were lucky to have a group of local carol singers join in for a few minutes to share some Christmas carols. All in all a fabulous evening!
The meal started with several amuse bouche/appetisers, before diving into the main meal itself. Started with a crab caviar and foie gras dishes, followed by French turbot (fish) and quail. Each course was better than the last, and this was true of the desserts as well! The Reindeer and Jingle Bell were beautifully presented – it felt wrong to even eat them!
A stunning dessert wine (Mas Amiel 1985) to end and cap off a fantastic meal.

Uncoordinated management, waiters and waitresses were running around without a clue as to what they were doing , didn’t know how to present a menu, didn’t know how to even pour water, European sommelier didn’t have much knowledge , food was extremely slow , asking for anything took ages to get, obviously untrained. Snobby young white boys replaced the old and experienced managers. Didn’t recognize a single one of them, they also either don’t speak English or they didn’t know etiquettes on hospitality and greetings. But no matter what it is extremely rude to not properly greet a guest when they are standing right in front of you!
Food was Mediocre…. nothing bad nothing good. Definitely not worth going anymore.
Worse experience out of a decade of eating at Gaddis. The ambiance is gone.
Gaddi’s has lost it’s touch and sensibility. This also shows me that in a whole Peninsula hotel group has lost it’s golden management and hospitality skills, glory days are gone … or should i say wiped out by their own decision of cutting cost by replacing all the experienced and wise staff with young and clueless white boys. Obviously some racism and bias can be seen in Peninsula’s HR department.

首先staff 全部係formal dressing , 女職員裙及膝,頭髮過膊全部札辮,對儀容同衞生有要求,有掛外套服務,上菜,揭蓋同步,人手夠,每當空閑外藉男職員就會企喺樓梯旁四周望睇下客人嘅需要,過一陣轉個位置又望下另一邊客人有無需要,好謹守自己崗位,對自己嘅工作好認真,喺香港嘅其他星級餐廳我未見過有咁專業嘅態度,彷彿上咗一課敬業樂業。
言歸正傳, 餐廳位於半島酒店獨立位置, 有專LIFT, 就在地面ROLEX旁轉入去就會見倒。餐廳用傳統英式設計, 樓底高, 大水晶吊燈, 有琴, 位置寬敞, 有大量餐車方便上菜, 位置唔會同對面檯面對面, 好有水準0既擺位。
意想不到係QR CODE點餐, 平日SET LUNCH分大類, 一類係1488 , 另一類簡單啲628(三道菜) 同728(四道菜).
我地點咗628
如果想睇hard copy menu 原來有嘅,見側邊嗰枱可能比較年長,所以waiter 就無講用QR code 睇menu ,主動遞上餐牌。
Went there on first day dine-in dinner is allowed again. Being the first French fine-dine restaurant in Hong Kong, needless to say that the restaurant has a long history. To emphasize on that history, Gaddi’s serves a very classic French fine-dining experience. Even just from riding the elevator up, and walking through the interior decor, the mood already stands apart from any others. The food is elegantly prepared to bring out the quality of the ingredients, and then beautifully presented on the dish. Service is impeccable. The waiters and staff are attentive and friendly. The live band performance every night is very talented, and not to be missed. The live music brings the dining experience to a whole new level. Everything together makes this a truly unique dining experience!

Two months ago: Just enjoyed a fabulous lunch at Gaddi’s. Have not been for quite some time. Ambiance is as wonderful as ever and I really liked the background music which helped create a very relaxing and comfortable environment. Fantastic presentation of all courses, very generous portions in my view, lovely taste and texture and perfect service. Truly great food quality. Wish I could dine here at least weekly! Thank you immensely for a beautiful dining experience. Most grateful to all the staff who create such an experience for the guests. Your huge effort and attention to detail are hugely appreciated.
July 1, 2021 Enjoyed another amazing lunch here. Everything about this venue is so fantastic but of course the food especially! This time around though the old music was back…. Please mgt choose the right music and bring back the same music that was played around 2months ago!! With regards to the food, nothing can be improved. Absolutely loved it! This venue with this chef deserves no less than five stars.
The environment & the live band is excellent but no surprise at all for the food.

吉地士於1953年開業,是香港首間精緻法餐,裝潢沿用半島一貫的宮廷風,高貴典雅,華麗堂皇。

麪包都非常好??綿密、香脆、鬆軟,跟Caprice一樣,完全不會覺得硬。牛油?有原味及酸辣兩款,美味香醇,亦不會蓋過麪包的味道。

點了兩杯1985年的Bordeaux,800hkd/杯,個人覺得值回票價。
可樂的雪藏溫度亦是不錯。

前菜的蕃茄湯十分清爽。
?
魚香濃郁的魚子醬配上北海道帶子、牛油果及西柚混合而成的底材,食材新鮮,味道配搭融洽。

鵝肝配上紅菜頭汁,以無花果、新鮮榛子、薯片伴碟,生熟到剛剛好,醬汁也非常惹味,榛子、薯片香脆可口,為整道菜增加了層次。

多寶魚缺貨,所以改用了海魴魚,同樣配有法國蕃茄、今蓮葉,加上烏魚子做的醬汁,味道不過不失。

法國布雷斯雞非常難切,但吃起來卻是非常嫩滑輕盈,配上的黑喇叭菌很美味,但粟米蓉及龍蒿草汁不太搭。

鹿兒島西冷牛肉煎得不錯,配以法國蝸牛、白甘荀及紅酒汁,整體不過不失。

另點了法國藍龍蝦配迷迭香、意大利青瓜花及番茄果仁醬,藍龍蝦太韌,味道平平。

精選法國芝士是半島的得意之處,店員會推出一輛芝士車供食客挑選芝士及配搭的食材,另亦隨芝士奉上松子、茴香、孜然脆片及提子乾麥包。

兩款甜品包括「浮雲」及「蜂蜜甜品」,
前者以牛奶打成泡沫,下層配有杏仁雪葩、杏仁蛋糕,及杏仁脆片,杏仁雪葩味道輕盈,冰涼的雪葩發出淡淡的杏仁味,不像一般餐廳做成藥水味,加上味道洽到好處的杏仁蛋糕及香脆的杏仁片,形成了完整無缺的完美甜品。
「蜂蜜甜品」的上半部分是蜂蜜蛋糕,下半是蛋白脆餅,配以檸檬忌廉及冬蜜雪糕,整體味道搭配平衡、口感層次豐富,蜂蜜更用上優質的蜂蜜,質感香滑,味道醇厚,是非常有心思及考手工的一道甜點。

最後奉上Petit Fours及熱朱古力?
Petit從上而下為藍莓?杯子蛋糕、熱情果馬卡龍,及慕思朱古力,藍莓杯子蛋糕用上不酸不甜的新鮮藍莓,熱情果馬卡龍味道偏酸,最後的朱古力?口感及味道都有驚喜,有高級朱古力店的級數。
這家熱朱古力竟然是唂咕加上奶泡,友人非常喜歡,有驚喜。

整體食物質數跟三星的Caprice差不多,不過若論環境、廁所衛生,以及甜品,都比Caprice更好。

此餐廳亦於2020年獲福布斯旅遊指南五星評級以及十大葡萄酒配對餐廳獎。

Was extremely excited to go back to one of childhood fondest Memories except this time with my wife.
Sad to say, they treated us like we were nobody. Food was good but didn’t stand out but with the charm of the decor.
We were constantly ignored by waiters because they were too busy entertaining to old time customers and guests. Anytime we raised our hand , they ignore us (70% of the time). We never got anymore than the minimum – name and description of the dish when food arrives. Whilst the next table over, waiters were bending head over heels for.
Tbh – I didnt expect too much but the divide between the new wave of restaurants with updated cultural relevancy (people are treated equal no matter what age you are) and the old guard like Gaddis (hierarchical elitism) is too far too apparent.
You may survive till the old customers live but you will not outlive where the world is moving towards.
Disappointed. Sad. And disgraced.

Classy fine Traditional French dinning with Michelin star rating ! Always deliver ! Excellent service headed by Edouard Gide and delicious dishes prepared by chef Albin Gobil for both lunch and dinner ! Recalled all the sweet memories during dinner in the old days from Tuesday to Saturday ( used to have live music band and songs of oldies during dinner before the COVID) ! One of the must visit restaurants in Hong Kong .

I came here today and really enjoyed the food and was very full afterwards. The fish dishes I got were very good and could taste how fresh it is. The only thing I would say is that the starter was slow to come out, but I would recommend and I’ll come back again.

Food was underwhelming, but it was the service that was really dissapointing. The wait time between each dish was way too long (an average of 15 min after taking away our plates). It really ruined the experience. Going back to the food, is it because there aren’t many high quality french restaurants in Hong Kong that the other reviewers thought the food was good? Fish was overcooked, and venison was tough. Foie gras was outstandingly mediocre. Definitely does not deserve a Michelin star. All the stuffiness of an old school French restaurant, without the excellent food or service that you would expect. If you are looking for a French fine dining experience, then you’d be much better served going to Joel Robuchon’s. Their price is similar, but the difference in the quality of food and service is night and day. The only downside is that it’s a lot harder to snag a reservation at Robuchon’s, so plan ahead.

魚子醬嚟自達氏鱘/係屬於全球體型最大鱘魚之一/長度可達2.5米
雖然呢款魚子醬味道濃郁
但加咗啲西柚中和番/亦冇搶走到登格斯蟹嘅鮮味
作為第一道菜非常之適合
而登格斯蟹係一種大型寄居蟹/長度可達30厘米
係加拿大/北美/太平洋地區嘅重要食用蟹種之一嚟㗎
2️⃣日本紅?魚/昆布清湯/牛油果/紫蘇
第二道菜用咗La Maison Nordique, Shadi
呢款魚子醬係嚟自amur river (即係黑龍江)名為 “Acipenser Schrenki” 嘅鱘魚
係響俄羅斯遠東同中國東北嘅交界
成件事好清好鮮
突顯咗呢款魚子醬濃郁而複雜嘅味道
尾韻仲有啲杏仁味添
不過手殘食到有啲捩咁棄

相信揀呢一款都係因為帶有輕淡嘅鮮味/入口香純
但係配埋調咗味嘅m8和牛個人感覺上怪怪地
和牛加埋暖暖地嘅魚子醬/個人感覺有啲鹹

第五道菜Le Chou-Fleur de Bretagre
顧名思義用咗法國??最西北部嘅椰菜花嚟整嘅雪糕
孤陋寡聞第一次食椰菜花味嘅雪糕?甜甜地又咸咸地咁
應該係想清一清啲油膩感
6️⃣酥脆糖片配牛奶朱古力/馬達加斯加香草雪糕/爪哇長胡椒
最尾一道菜用咗白鱘魚Kaviari, Transmontanus
有啲牛油又有啲木味

無論環境和氣氛都感覺很舒適平靜,除了每片刻,有人唱一些動聽悦耳的英文歌。另外,餐廳侍應生友善和有禮貌的態度,感覺很親切,每次奉上的菜式,都介紹得很清楚。還有廚師選擇的食材和精心的廚藝,都給客人很滿意的感覺。雖然價錢比較貴少許,但是,如有什麼特別日子,可以去這裡試試。?????☺️

整體都是高水準,因為2人付了$5千,所以要求亦高。當晚主菜的乳鴿咸了少少,2隻主菜碟不夠熱,影響口感和味道,可能當晚主菜做好,沒有立刻上餐,四處找服務員倒酒,導致錯過了最佳上菜時間。
