We’ve been to the Darkside jazz bar at the Rosewood many times since it opened in 2018. Surprisingly, we only discovered Debora Davis last night and she’s been performing 5 nights a week for a few months now. How did we miss her all this time? Luckily, we caught her performing last night.

Her vocals and onstage presence was effortless and natural. She really brought us back in time with her renditions of the Blues. Every Thursdays is Blues night. Nothing but the blues. We will definitely go back on Jazz nights as we are big jazz fans. We can’t wait!

A shout out to the Darkside frontline team, Sophiya, Pretty and Muna for their great smiles and services. Not to forget Nadiya and Subi who always greets us in friendly manner and finds us the best tables in the house. Another reason we will always patronize Darkside. 「27-12-2021」

Firstly I just love the name of this bar. Made me smile from the moment I arrived for a good Old Fashioned or two.

The atmosphere is great, with some really nice touches throughout the bar.

For those of us that like a drink outside, there’s a balcony with a mix of seating and standing tables.

Staff are well mannered and knowledgeable. Impressive service.

And, to top of a great experience, a live Jazz band as well. Fantastic!

Excellent trendy buzzy bar. Great cocktails. Great bar food. Definitely make a reservation before arrival. If they have any open tables they will seat you, however, they might be a bit picky as to who they let in.

This is a cocktail place next to the Bay however the views are not the best.

I came here thanks to the great reviews seen but I have to admit that I didn’t like the quality of what I got.

At first I got a beer, and they didn’t have any of the beers that they advertised in the menu. They only had a Japanese beer that’s alright but if you got a menu, at least have one.

Later on, the Brough me some nuts and taking in consideration that this is a luxury places, I would have expected a better quality peanuts, you can check other places as the Shangrila where they provide you with not cheap nuts or almonds.

Later on, I followed with a Martini Cocktail and they didn’t even ask me if I liked it. I didn’t so I ordered the bill and I left and they were not even worried why I left the place after given only 2 zips.

In my opinion, I don’t recomend the place.

Jazz Band live is my favourite, especially here I found out Jazz Band and Singer is wonderful. Nice performance with good vocal. It go beyond my expectation.

Cocktail is ok, Atmosphere is nice and clean. Absolutely recommend if you are Jazz Fan.

This time , 2 dude in jeans and t-shirt then you don’t feel welcome , get the bar seat instead one of the 3 empty table , ounce at the bar , to get menus and attention , you better grab some staff or we could stayed at the bar all night without any drink ?- hostess attitude just not plaisant and arrogant – I dare to ask for bread with cold cut – I need to apologize for asking , the waitress attitude again .. if you compare blue house to darkside , it’s “day and night “ and the way the ice is manipulated, is questionable about hygiene

had a quick drink here at happy hour. nice presentation and place to sit in, but the drink wasn’t WOW, just average taste but pricy.

As an expat living in Europe for years, expectation towards Asian bars were generally on the lower side to manage the expectation. However, Darkside is much more than worthwhile to try no matter it’s on your list or not. Bartender Oscar was amazing, so did Aisis (the Nepali guy), would definitely recommend to go beyond the menu, if you are aware of your drinking preference, as these guys are genuinely experts of cocktail dynamics.
Plus, don’t miss the live band and singer performance start after 8pm.

I am delighted to recount the exceptional experience I had last evening at Darkside, a cocktail bar that defies expectations and sets the bar high.

The service was top-notch, and the atmosphere struck a balance between trendy and classic, fostering a warm ambiance that’s hard to come by in a bar of this tier.

The star of the evening was Asish Rana, who showcased not just impressive mixology skills but also embodied the welcoming spirit of Darkside. His passion for his craft was infectious, and his extensive knowledge, which he generously shared, made the evening not just about tasting, but also about learning.

The drinks are, quite simply, some of the finest I’ve ever tasted. I tried four different cocktails – two from their signature menu, Spring and Winter, each unique and tantalizing, truly a testament to the creativity and expertise of their mixologists. The other two, classic staples – Corpse Reviver 2 and Cable Car, were expertly mixed and absolutely delicious, a nod to the timeless appeal of these drinks.

Another highlight of the evening was the Darkside’s in-house cognac. Paired with chocolates from Rosewood’s patisserie, the indulgence was luxurious and unforgettable. While I couldn’t take any of the exquisite cognac home, I managed to bring back some of the chocolates, allowing me to savor a piece of Darkside even after leaving.

In conclusion, Darkside is not just a cocktail bar – it’s a destination. With its expertly crafted drinks, knowledgeable and friendly staff led by Asish Rana and well-blended modern and classic ambiance, it sets a high bar for cocktail establishments. An evening here is not just a drink, it’s an experience – one I would love to relive again and again!
